    Freefly Jumpsuits

They have a couple different options for cuffs, velcro, spandex, stirrup style. Maybe you should try one of the other styles. I love my flitesuits. I think I'm going to get one of the new vrw suits this seaon.
  2. I have had nothing but problems with paypal. I'm glad there are alternatives...but for now I'm sticking to cash.
  3. We hope so too. But I'm not overly concerned at this point. As Ilea said, not everyone posts here, and its still early in the season. I've heard some rumors about other teams too. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see another team or two from eloy since nationals is there this year.
  4. Groovalicious is planning to compete again this year. flygroovy.com
  5. HD, side mountable form factor, ESI, tape or solid state.
  6. As always consult your local, experienced swoopers who have seen you fly... that being said i think the katana would be a good choice. I put 600 jumps an a KA loaded at about 1.6. I really learned how to swoop on it. In a lot of ways the katana is more aggressive than a velo. But, i find the velo doesn't fly well at lighter wingloadings. The Katana flys great at that wingloading. it is responsive, fast, and dives like crazy. I actually started my turns higher on the Katana than I do I my velo I have now. Just be careful as it is a big step from a stiletto, even at the same size. Oh, and don't be in a rush to downsize too much, 1.6 or so is great for 600 jumps
  7. Lisa, don't let one bad apple spoil it for the rest...I hope one of these days you get a good shot of me under my new canopy
  8. How would a person know if they were accurate? well, you could look at your visual altimeter when the alarm goes off
  9. to bad it looks like the hc9 uses the same optical image stabilization as the hc7 :/
  10. Didn't know there was anyplace to land there. never been when it is still light out. It would be great to land and grab a drink there after the sunset load.
  11. So nothing really side mountable? I know some people have been using the hc3/5/7 side mount but they just seem kinda bulky to me. my hc40 is great though -that size would work
  12. Was hoping for a side-mountable HD cam. Something like an hc5 in a pc1000 form factor with suitable image stabilization for skydiving. Probably not the only one who wants this either. 40 days isn't too long to wait to find out i guess
  13. Anyone have any inside info on what cameras sony is coming out with next? (Seems like they are about due for a new lineup) I was thinking about getting a new setup for next season, but I’m not really impressed with the video options currently available.
  14. I'm curious what the process was. Did you submit photos directly to them? Did they find you? Good work.

    No belts!

Personally, I think it is better to wear a belt when freeflying w/o a jumpsuit than to let your shirt come untucked and cover your handles. But thats just me
  16. his name is Jay his myspace page is http://www.myspace.com/jaykrahl you can contact him there one of the other jumpers looks like Cas
  17. When I first started camera flying I bought a hc40 on ebay. It came with one of those cheapo .5 lenses. I jumped it for one season. It sucked. I got a .3 from royal lens. its much better although you have to be a better flyer and get in close to fill the frame.
  18. How heavy is the setup? Do you feel like its pulling on your neck a lot?
  19. I don't think Charley was recomending he take up BASE, but just relating his (somewhat) similar experience and how he has handled it. To the OP I'm also a 3L and I still jump quite a bit. It takes a lot of sacrifice but I'm proof that it is possible.
  20. I can't see them, but I certainly can hear them!
  21. When a bought my hc-40 a few years ago it did the same thing. I think i just had to adjust the white balance to fix it.
  22. Not sure what you mean by submit as an invention. If you mean get a patent, then you do have to have more than just a concept, but you do not need a working prototype or anything like that. If you think your idea is marketable and are serious about investing the time and money to get a patent then you will want to hire a patent attorney. I've helped quite a few inventors with patent stuff and can put you in contact with some attorneys i have worked with/for in your area.
  23. The swoop area at Skydance is actually very obvious...its west of the peas- basically the gravel "runway." "Not sure when the last time you came out was, but just ask anyone next time if you are still unsure. That brings up a good point too. As jumpers its our responsibility to familiarize our self with the local rules at dz that we visit. Most dz try to give briefings to new jumpers, but don't rely on them to offer it (that was not directed at anyone in particular)
  24. I'm not a patent attorney yet- still have one year of law school to go. I'm also planning on taking the patent bar very soon. I would highly recommend getting a BS if you can, its just better (wish I had). Also, my friends in law school who have experience in their field have had a much easier time getting a job. Also experience as a patent agent is good to. Both is really the best. Don't know about getting a firm to foot the bill for law school. If they did you would probobly have to trade in your soul. But you can still work as an agent part time while in school which is what one of my friends did. I don't know about law schools that specialize in patent law. The best thing to do is go to the best lawschool you can get into. hope that helps.
  25. Are the people that you briefed under an agreement not to to disclose the invention to the public? Once you start displaying/showing your invention to the public you only have one year to file your patent application so make sure you are ready to file before or soon after you start demonstrating. (35 U.S.C. 102(b)) Everyone else is absolutely right, contact a patent attorney in your area (the ones on tv like inventech are scams) The reason that people are suggesting mailing yourself an copy of the plans is to prove when you invented your invention. It is the same reason scientists who work for companies keep a notebook documenting all their inventions and have a co-worker sign it. The earlier you can prove your invention (conception and reduction to practice) the better Good luck
