Thanks everyone, Ed - Hee hee, great pic. I'm doing static line course too- - but very slowly. You've cheered me up a bit and I have survived one more night. Go for it ALL Sue

I know this has nothing to do with anything, not even skydiving, except that we both love it. But I have to cry on someone's shoulder, and THERE AINT NO ONE HERE RIGHT NOW. The love of my life has gone away for 5, or maybe even 6, days. It's only been 2 and a half days and I am climbing the walls. I've resorted to CLEANING, for god's sake. I am a desperate woman - and I can't jump for 12 weeks thanks to a torn tendon in my shoulder (not deltoid as previously claimed). How will I survive????????????????? HELP ME...........if none of you can appear on my doorstep right now then at least make me laugh! Go for it ALL, Sue (sobbing softly)

I just want to say thankyou for a great interview. Keep up the excellent work, looking forward to more of the same sort of stuff. Sue

I'm with you JC, this is the best customer service story I've ever heard - when I finally need an audible, it will be a Pro Track that I buy. And I will tell all of my friends! Go for it ALL, Sue

I love that kid, send him to my school when he's old enough. I took my 2 youngest on the weekend with heaps of stuff to keep them occupied but they preferred to watch and listen to the jumpers. Since our DZ is pretty small, very family-like, and it wasn't too busy, my girls (8 and 11)were treated like everyone's niece. They had an absolute ball. Both have been there once before and now they think they are part of the skydiving family. Before they ever came to the DZ I did of course make sure they knew what was expected of them, where they could and couldn't go, what not to touch, when they had to stand back and let the instructors do their thing with the students, etc. I won't take the girls again too soon because the novelty will wear off for them and the other jumpers, but we did have a great weekend and I appreciate the guys at the DZ even more now I've seen another side of them. Go for it ALL, Sue PS My youngest has decided she has seen enough of the training (arches beautifully) and will do the AFF course when she is 16 - not interested in a tandem, wants the real thing!

I haven't been able to jump for 3 weeks (torn deltoid), so I've been practicing my packing, but since it's a bit frustrating I thought I'd try a ride up and down. Our pilot loves to play and when I asked him he was more than happy to do what he does best! After the tandem and AFFs had exited we had an absolute ball - I have no idea what he did (what it was all called) but it sure felt great! Part of the time I was pinned to the floor, then I was almost floating, watching the horizon spin, diving toward the ground, screaming into the clouds. I was smiling, screaming and laughing the whole time - fabulous fun. If you are one of those jumpers who hasn't ridden down in the plane - well you've gotta try it, with the right pilot of course. Go for it ALL, Sue

We have about 70 teachers at the school where I teach, including the two of us who skydive. I have to say, I'm pretty lucky - most the whuffos are really tolerant and listen to us and laugh with us every Monday, those that don't want to know just leave us alone. When the jumper died last weekend at a nearby DZ the guys at work were so lovely and considerate. A number of them took the time to take me aside and say how concerned they had been when they heard the early reports, how thankful they were that it wasn't me or one of my friends. None of them 'seem' to think we are idiots for jumping (like I'd notice?) , it's just not something they want to do or are game enough to do. Of course I'm working on a few of them, three have shown some interest in tandems! So not all earth-bound people are unbearable! go for it ALL, Sue

OK, someone out there must answer the question = is it painful?? I'd like an answer from some of the women. What does it feel like to jump naked?? Is it similar to comparing swimming naked with swimming clothed? Is it worth the effort/embarassment? I know it usually looks damned awful/funny (women particularly), I'd never do it with a camera person nearby!!! Go for it ALL, Sue

Damien...sorry, I mean Aaron, you have nothing to worry about - all of 'your' bad luck has obviously happened in a short period of time, so (statistically speaking) you'll be safe for ages and ages now!!!!!!!! However, if you are going jumping at Bridgewater could you please let me know.........I might stay home that weekend! hee hee Go for it ALL, Sue

BenW, please do have some fun!!!!! This guy sounds really really creepy - not what I'm used to reading here........

Don't student rigs suck????? They aren't a good look these rigs - not glamorous at all with everything squashed and flattened!!! I'm nearly finished the static line course and on one of my early jumps I had the chest strap slip down (ah, now I could breath), couldn't see the handle, brought the left hand in - rolled onto my back, side, everywhere - not pretty. Now I don't care where the chest strap is, I still look for the handle but I rely on memory, like everyone else said. I just bought a rig (can't jump it yet of course) and thankfully I can see both handles. Go for it ALL Sue

Apparently the jumper's reserve pin dislodged as he was in the door ready to exit. He had both canopies out and wrapped around the tail when he hit the ground, but died shortly after. How the hell could that happen??
-
Pammi, just to say I really feel for you going through all this anguish, I hope it all goes well - there's a lot of us out here with kids and, as you now know for sure, we are all with you on this, hang in there. Go for it ALL Sue PS Thanks from me too Froggie and Mike - in case my 'new' ex decides to take the same line!! and Zennie - keep off the soapbox

Hey, I love that thought: "all skydiver´s will be a part of the clear blue sky" Go for it ALL, Sue

God, this makes me feel sick. Nagambie, central Victoria, today, Cesna Caravan, 12 skydivers on board, 14,000ft, first jumper's canopy took out the plane's tail, 11 others and the pilot got out OK (pilot did a fantastic job they say). I only have the TV news report to go on. If anyone else has any details, could you share them please. I'm only a student, don't jump at Nagambie, but it's a very very small skydiving community here, and this will hit hard, as all fatalities must. My thoughts and prayers are with the jumper's family and friends.

re: There's the standard counts for scared tandem students - That is so funnny, and so true - I love being on the load with tandems - what a bitch I am, but they are sooooo funny (since I'm so damned brave now!!!!!!!). Of course the real buzz is when they are back on land and so high from what they've done. On my first dive-out (I am still working through the static line progression) I was scared sh*tless and counted '1, NO, F*CK' as I tumbled away - the others on the load thought it was hilarious but I didn't see the funny side until I got stable. Go for it ALL, Sue

I think "If he doesn't/won't skydive or enjoy being at a DZ with me, will he understand that I need most weekends at the DZ WITHOUT HIM?" - 'cause I aint giving it up and he's not coming along if he's going to sook about being there! Will he question those bruises, will he mind that between jumps I'm laughing my arse off, joking around with anything that can walk and talk, and sleeping in a room full of drunken lunatics??? OH, is that why I'm single?? Go for it ALL Sue
-
Bugger, first I'm average - 3, then I took forever to find the one's I was told about - am I below average? - ....naaa, if it doesn't jump out at me, it's taking too long and I don't give a damn. Go for it ALL, Sue

You are one sick puppy. Have you seen the one where you kill Santa's elves in a bowling alley? The elves are the pins....just as sick, not quite as much blood! 'Go for it ALL' Sue

OK, I'm bored, stuck at work, beautiful day outside, I'm taking far tooo long to get my A license and I can't jump this weekend. I saw this "How to live" note next to one of the computers at work - sounds like a good approach, but maybe skydivers do this anyway?? Work like you don't need the money, Love like you've never been hurt, Dance like nobody's watching, Sing like nobody's listening, Live like it's heaven on earth. Go Fot It ALL

I have to say one thing for static line jumpers - we always go out alone, and that's what I loved. It was only me out there, I had to do it all myself. The first time I saw someone in free fall with me was such a buzz I almost forgot what I was supposed to be doing.
-
OK, now from a Christian - roflmao, I loved it, funny funny funny, keep 'em coming Jason
-
very very funny, I'm gonna send this on to my super-whuffo friends who won't even get into a plane, much less jump out of one - they'll love it!! blue skies

Life is toooo short for so much bullshit. Just be yourself, follow your instincts, make your own decisions about the friends you want and forget the rest. Move on if you have to, and take the girl with you. Why aren't they focusing on the jumping??? Our dropzone is too small for that sort of thing, and if anyone isn't a 'hugger' when they first come to us, they sure are after the second visit - it's compulsory!!! Blue skies Sue

OOPS, I hope it wasn't meant to be a secret............... HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREEFALLFREEK!!! (from Kylie's friend)
