I agree it would only take a minute to put your gear somewhere.But I don't think that should be the point taken from all of this.When I started jumping 8 years ago most people left their gear in the hanger over night.I would like to know when this new rule was formed and why there are no warning signs in the hanger.I hear one of the victims was a first time visitor to the DZ.How was he to know? .

I would like to add one thing.To the ones who think this is ok.Maybe you don't care what others think about your DZ but take a minute to think about the people that were there visiting.I guess you could blame me for letting the cat out of the bag.How many loads would have gone if those people were not there?Or do you care about that either?You have a great place.A place that the DZO leaves open after hours so you have somewhere to hang out.It's not like that everwhere.There are DZs that lock the hanger when business is done.If I had to put up with crap like this all the time and than pay someone to cleanup after you I would lock the hanger also. .

I didn't mean to start a pissing contest.We could debate about the jet issue for days.There are I think 3 years that it was supposed to be there. I just think people are growing tired of the "we might have a surprise" way of promoting.I would much rather be told what the surprise is and that all of the red tape is not cut yet. .

The surprise aircraft thing is usually a product of not knowing if they are going to show up.Any intelligent organizer or promoter would want everyone to know what was going to be there so people could make an informed decision on where they might want to go.If you were throwing a music festival with a bunch of small named bands wouldn't you want everyone to know if you had worked out a big name to be there also. .
