Hey dude, take some coachaing that really helps. Other than that, the best thing to do is: -exit in sit if u tip over -get on your back -bring your knees up and push back your arms(as if you were to get up from a couch) -when in sit have all your lower body at 90 degrees -NEVER go belly-down :) It is easier to get in sit if you are on your back

Could yal explain different types of malfunctions?
denaga replied to Viking's topic in Safety and Training
I had 2-out situation on my jump 30. Pulled bellow 2000' and had FXC activated round reserve (it was a rented student rig). After pulling cut-away handle, right riser got snaged on something behind in container and a piece of cable. Anyway with partialy cut-away, tilted main i got in a pretty bad spin. So spinning, having one of the lines choking me a bit, i finaly got rid of the main at a bit less than 100' on my judgement(alti indicated zero). Anyways, i had pretty hard landing on that reserve. Hope you learn the lesson from this: DON'T pull low if you are using AAD. You should pull 1000' above set activation altitude for student AAD. -- Blue Skies --- -
Thank to all for the suggestions and replies :-)

Hey man!!! :) Just think, what's the worse thing could happen if u come and talk to a girl in a bar? :) She might reject you, but that's about it. So??? There is plenty of fish in a sea!!! Keep on trying and you'll find someone special!!! The only reason some chicks act all that unapproachable, is just to hide thei shyness too!! Edited by denaga on 4/1/01 05:21 AM.

I think there shouldn't be a legal limit as by what altitude your main must be deployed I really hate it when i get in shit for low pulls !!! In canada it's 2200', but I think it's a person's judgment when to pull. And SECOND, I don not agree with some DZ's policy that makes AAD mandatory, it's also should be just a person's choice

I LOVE LOW pulls, do it all the time, the LOWEST i ever pulled was just bellow 2000' once just was curious: What's the LOWEST altitude you ever pulled at? What's the LOWEST altitude you ever did a hook turn at?

I have about 100 jumps(will have wayyy more by the end of summer), and thinking of getting an elliptical canopy!!! Which one would you experienced people to recomend? I want something that turf-surfs better than sabres but not really high performance What would be the safest yet good for swooping transition eliptical canopy?

Last Summer, when i was jumping student rig, i had round reserve deployment right aftre i did flightcheck on the main When tried to cut off the main, the right side entangled with reserve, and got me in a bad spin. I finally cut away main at less than 100 feet off the ground. So i had really nasty landing. Does anyone know any good websites that discuss DOUBLE DEPLOYMENT ISSUE? HOW TO FLY TWO CANOPIES AT ONCE, etc ? I know there is article in Parachutist, but can't find that issue

I have a Sabre 190, and most of my opennigs just beat the crap out of me!!! Not only they are hard, but had a couple of times that half of the canopy collapsed for a few secs I'm just curious. TO EVERYONE who jumps SABRES: Do u ever get it? How's most of the openings? I don't know if i should buy Sabre for next downsized canopy or something else

Has anyone had a chance to jump the new Javelin Odyssey and Voodoo? Any suggestions which one would be more comfortable for Freeflying?
