....why I do what I do. I love my job, but sometimes the loss of a patient really gets to me. I got the news this morning that another one was lost. I started thinking about why it is I do what I do. The day gets busy and I push it to the back of my mind. Early afternoon a patient comes out of a room with tears in her eyes....I hug her and she says "Remission"....I hug her tighter, and now I have tears in my eyes. She made me realize why it is that I do what I do.

While I understand your concerns, that kind of thinking could ruin something that's good. We all have our fears, but if we let them get the best of us, it could turn something beautiful into something ugly. If we're afraid to take the chance, we might miss something that could truly be wonderful.

Once, ok once.....when I was about 9 yrs old, the ice cream van stopped right outside my house, my mum gave me some money and an order and I was so excited I put on the closest pair of shoes to me. Yes, they were high heels, no I couldn't run. I learnt a vaulable lesson that day. "Check to see if any friends from school are at the van before wearing your mum's high heels." Of course, when I say 9 years old I mean 15. To answer your question, a guy wouldn't chase another guy wearing high heels, well, maybe in Brighton. ROFLMAO!! Now there's a visual! Thanks for sharing!
