I do have a DVD put together again this year. Currently I have 15 copies printed. The footage is all at SDA. If other have footage they would like to see edited thru the weekend I'll look at brining my setup to put something together. keep in mind the less time I have the worse it gets! The vid I have done is about 40 mins long over all. It came from about 6 or 7-60min source tapes, and took me about 50 hours to build,transcode, and burn. I'd be up for taking vid from a current day and building something to view at night (thursday and Friday) also. If you contacted Beezy Shaw with HiPer USA you went straight to the source for Nitro information. The Nitro is marketed here in the US by Beezy via HiPer USA. I put about 600 jumps on mine and loved it. Beezy was always there to help if I needed it. The Nitro is still in production today. (unlees Ive missed something) the Nitron was the Nitro design licensed to Precision for production and made with a different material. I know that Germany company produced a few units for Precision as demo units for WFFC in 02 (I think) before they started production. I wonder if thats the ones you are speaking of. If so, I had one and was serviced by HiPer. Ive never heard of a Nitro2, and would be interested to hear any outcome of that. Ive got about 800 skydives, and Im known at our DZ to help along new freefliers. not very well, but I offer advice and teaching I was given early on in my career. I'll jump with em and shoot video. Ive never taken cash, and never had my slot paid. Does that mean I might miss out on some more advanced stuff where I could learn something? Yup. BUT, when I was at that point in my career, I really looked up to the one that would help me. No matter how little. Now, I try to give some of that back. i have no ratings for a reason. I dont believe Im ready for that full on responsiblity. I am upfront and frank with those I try to help about my postion (not being a coach). then at the end of a dive and were debrifing or just chatting that person has a big ole smile on their face and had a good time. Going to your belly or 'corking' can kill someone. Even in a coach situation you should be briefed before the dive on how to maintian your fall rate. As the poster above me said tuck up you knees and feet and stick your arms out and start again. Or learn back flying and got to your back (this is taught in wind tunnels) Any freeflier who corks "all the time" would never be on a dive with me. Accidents happen, I know I nearly had my shoulder dislocated. It kept me from skydiving for two weeks. Im not a coach, BUT when I am working with anyone who is a very early in the stages of freeflying I like to spend 5-10 min talking about safety, gear, concepts and then the dive flow. Your not going to get it the first time, but we can take precautions to have a fun, safe skydive. When fall rate go from 165MPH + to 120MPH in the blink of an eye that a 45mph difference. Imaging the damage a 180lb object could do to a body at 45MPH.
