Six Muslim Clerics Removed from USAir Flight for Praying
sundevil777 replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
They did absolutely nothing on the plane but go to their seats and sat down. Three of them prayed in the terminal. No law against praying. Again they did nothing wrong. Someone passed a note to an attendent pointing out that some Arabic men were getting on the plane. No law against Arabic people boarding planes. They were not disruptive. It was the ignorance of the note passer that was wrong. It really does seem that Bin Laden is winning as he is being succesful in turning Americans against Americans. All of the clerics are American. He is being succesful in cultivating fear of Islam. Of all of the Muslims I have met, they all have been kind and courteous. I have no fear of them as Al qaeda does not represent Islam. To those who lump the two together, shame on you for taking the bait that Al qaeda laid out as you are only assisting the enemy by doing so. Educate yourself and Bin Laden and his kind will go away. I saw a very quick view of the note, it said much more than "some Arabic men were getting on the plane". It has been reported that they did much more than "just go to their seats and sat down", such as demanding their seats be changed, asking for belt extensions and then not using them. Things that by themselves aren't much, but the things were not by themselves. The men were praying quite loudly. This seems to reinforce the view that they may have been looking to cause an incident, or that they were quite stupid for not knowing they would attract attention to themselves. The men were overheard saying things that would have gotten them in trouble had they been saying it while going through security. Exercising your free speech rights at a commercial airport will get you attention from the TSA, that is a fact. I think they deserved what they got. It would have been wrong to ignore it. What fantasy world do you live in that you think I'm pissed off? OK then, you make statements that get you a warning from the moderator even when you're not pissed off. Please forgive me for assuming you'd only do that when pissed off. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Moore talks out of his ass. He pretends to be so "dignified", but we've apparently pissed you off for reminding you of his true colors. are we still in the land of parody, or were you serious? Check xbox360's record of backward compatibility. Not everything is going to work. I was quite serious, when a company says that the old games should still work, then they should still work. They didn't make the claim that some of the games might work. I still think the PS1 JetMoto games are the best I've ever played. All the PS1 games my kids have work on their PS2. Why should the integrity of the Xbox360's compatibility claims change my expectation of Sony's claim being true. For Sony, it should make it even more important to make the claim true, so they can have a marketing advantage over the Xbox. I'll bet the note said a lot more than "some Arabic men were getting on the plane". They also said some things that were suspicious in the terminal. Islamofacists have cultivated a fear of Islam, and other Muslims are afraid to speak out forcefully against it because of a fear for their lives. I think that makes the Islamofacists in control of Islam. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. GM isn't even the biggest car company anymore, their supposed legendary ability to kill new technological innovation is just not there. Battery powered electric cars are only marketed in warm weather regions because they perform poorly when the weather is cold. I'll bet the impressive 0-60 times weren't done on a cold day. Honda's electric car wasn't subject to the evil whims of GM execs, but they realize that it isn't ready for the mass market yet. We need more info to give you better feedback, pics would help. $600 is extremely cheap. Perhaps he is selling it to you really cheap to be nice, but don't count on it. It may be that the components themselves are almost worthless, and it may really be worth even less than $600. You should get another person's opinion of the rig BEFORE you buy it, preferably an experienced rigger, someone that isn't afraid to tell you that it is a piece of shit, even if that makes the integrity of the seller look bad. Beware. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Notice how he says they don't want to take away hunting weapons, obviously he does want to take away non-hunting weapons, and I think he'd prefer the hunting weapons be locked up by the gov't until you are actually on your way to hunt. There are lots of reasons to detest Michael Moore: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1182334#1182334 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1171472#1171472 People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I thought that there are some PS2 and PS1 games that have been found to not play correctly on the PS3. That is pretty shitty. Viking has posted about the PS3 that he's played locking up regularly. That is pretty shitty. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. You often insult people of faith for their belief in "invisible friends" and such. I don't remember that insult being applied to Muslims. I've called the guys on the plane stupid for bringing attention on themselves, come on, you know you want to insult them... Ah, yes, in the early years of the sixteenth centry, to combat the rising tide of religious unorthodoxy, the pope gave Cardinal Ximinez of Spain leave to move without let of hindrance throughout the land, in a reign of violence, terror and torture that makes a smashing film. This was the Spanish Inquisition, SO WHAT? You are obviously implying that when considering the atrocities of Islamofacists, one should remember the atrocities of Christianfacists from hundreds of years ago. Therefore the acts of the Islamofacists are not to be considered, well, quite so atrocious. Of course you don't say that explicitly, but the implication is clear. I reject that implication with predudice. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I bet we've killed more than a few of them with guns though. Should Arabs be afraid to be in any part of the country that allows guns? Blues, Dave Yes they should. I don't think it would be a good idea to walk into a bar in Alabama and start praying. That would just be asking for trouble in the same way as praying and making anti-American statements in an airport would be. Would you walk through Watts or Harlem wearing a sheet and white dunce hat? - Now, that is a good analogy. I don't say that very often. No, only the ones that do stupid things on airplanes. They aren't guilty of "flying while Muslim", they're guilty of "flying while stupid". I would want the same treatment for a group of Christians that would be stupid enough to stand up and start praying. That would make me very suspicious, and I would want them removed for further scrutiny. What did they expect, nobody to notice, perhaps they thought the rest of the passengers would find it deeply touching, and all say, "ahh, isn't that precous"? I've never heard of Muslims praying in such a way on passenger airliners. I say bullshit, it is their way of causing trouble on purpose for attention, and if not, tough shit anyway. I feel it is reasonable to suspect that a group that starts praying in such a way should be the subject of immediate attention. There is no constitutional right to travel on commercial airliners, especially while stupid. If they were terrorists, of course it would be stupid to do something that is so likely to get you extra scrutiny, so they are likely really ignorant of how to get through American airports, or don't mind having something to complain about. I think it likely they would have received the same attention at an airport in the UK, for instance. I think there are other ways that people are stupid for making themselves the subject of extra scrutiny. Carrying around a rig on your back without it being in a bag is a good example. Both praying and carrying a rig around for all to see are allowed, but really stupid if you don't want to get some nervous nellie all worked up and avoid extra scrutiny. Rep. Rangel Seeks to Reinstate the Draft

I can't stand it when people think that they should have the left lane of a highway all to themselves, just because they want to go faster. It doesn't matter to them if the road is crowded, all of the lanes are full of traffic, somehow they think that they are the only ones that want to go faster, so they tailgate and get mad, as if everyone in front of them should get out of the way. Also, I hate it when people let their dogs on their laps while they drive. Today I had a guy pull out in front of me because his little rat dog was ON HIS SHOULDER, so he could not see well to his left. Hamas Chief: Truce With Israel Is Over
sundevil777 replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
This sort of incident doesn't support your assertion: Time magazine gets caught lying Nope, it sure doesn't. Neither does an article about Foley emailing pages. Both are irrelevant to the subject at hand. You posted an anecdotal claim without anything to back it up, I posted an article showing how mainstream drive-by media intentionally lies to support the Palestinian cause. I contend that my post was more relevant than yours. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I heard an interesting interview a couple days ago on the subject of playoffs for the college football championship. Of course it makes sense in one way because with so many teams the rating system is largely/partially a beauty contest. However, if there were playoffs, the extreme importance of every game throughout the season would be gone. I hadn't considered that aspect. Another reason to visit the USAF museum again
sundevil777 replied to sundevil777's topic in The Bonfire
I was surprised to find the museum already has an F-22 raptor! Too bad they don't have a cool skydiving exhibit with a pic of me jumping into the Renton factory like the Museum of Flight in Seattle. I hope that display is still up. Besides that small omission, the USAF museum is the best. I'll definitely have to check out the P-51s. I was fortunate enough to go to a full Confederate Air Force Show in the mid '70s near Phoenix (Goodyear). That treat included Bob Hoover doing single engine acrobatics in a P-38.
