  2. I definately agree. That's part of the reason it's intrigueing. Count me on in that one. Tim My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  3. Disclaimer... Don't do this If the person can hold on during opening shock, Use any size parachute you want. My stiletto 97 has been used a couple times. and I've seen it done many times on 135's Tim My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  4. more like 188 ish... 20 to 25 pounds is usually unrealistic. Consider that a wingload of 1.25 to 1 will be achieved using a 188 exit weight I won't be a canopy Nazi and tell you this is pretty high for 58 jumps and not to go there, but it is my opinion and I shall state that it is pretty high so play as safe as you can. The Canopy will most certainly respond faster. Please make your landing decisions as high as possible. It's good that you understand the need for flat turns. Please also understand that it will take many more jumps to truly understand how to perform them in an emergency. Stay safe and try not to push it too hard. 9. I've only seen and packed one Falcon as a reserve. It was strange packing a nine cell reserve into a sport rig. Falcons DEFINATELY opened hard. I did learn pretty quickly how to slow them down even when they were new. I'm very thankful those packing methods are not needed for today's parachutes. My first parachute was a falcon... Dacron lines helped. Once they had some jumps on them (if you weren't completely hammered by the openings when you first got it) The openings became very reasonable Tim My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Protective Gear

I use Protec Elbow pads and Fox Knee/shin gaurds. Look here to view the kneepads and also surf the site a little bit. Tom A has a nice set of body armour, I plan to purchase a set for myself. I'll look for that URL unless Tom finds his way on line today. Here's the link to theDainese Body Armor website (thanks AndyMan) Boots I use Henwag fly 2000 Paragliding boots. I won't jump with out them. 250 bucks for boot's has already saved around 10,000 bucks in new Steel rods for my legs. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  11. Now we are focusing on a lot of what if's. The highest esteemed academics would never follow this debate down this slippery slope. This is a circular arguement with no agreement possible. Good night I must sign off for the evening. I have soup to eat and Shrek to watch. Tim My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  12. I don't care if I have the time. I will always let the user watch me pack. I encourage it. No matter what, any one is welcome any time, to visit and be present during a pack job. I want them to pull the handles and then we unpack it orderly and go on from there. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  13. Actually it is the riggers responsibility during a repack to ensure the cypres is with in factory Specs. The rigger is not allowed to repack the rig with the Cypres in it, if the 4 year is out of date or the batterries are out of date. It is the owners responsibility on whether or not you want the rigger to leave the rig unpacked until the service is complete or pack it with out the cypres. 14. I was certain I would get some flamage about this. I agree that leaving links loose is bad... Very bad. What makes me think that he will no longer be complacent is he made a serious mistake. He is not the only one to have done that. I have caught the mistake myself and the person who did it, would be my rigger if I wasn't my own. Reputable shops have f***ed up. Many things have been documented and pictures have been shown to the public. No I'm not going to go look for some and show you. What makes you think no action was taken? Quietly to you, does not mean quietly to the rigger who made the mistake. Quiet also does not mean keeping a secret. You can count on the the fact that the riggers stomach sank at the possibility of a link coming open.
  15. The rigger fixxed the issue, brought it to the attention of the rigger who made the mistake. The rigger is probably a competant rigger that will no longer be complacent. "Quietly yes" is a good answer. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  17. Yeah thanks I posted in haste and then did a quick search. I tend to believe Pete. I know several people that spend their lives helping victims of abuse and teaching useful self defense to women and lots of other stuff pertaining to abuse. A very good researcher friend of mine has done way more than visit some paedaphile site. Her research is grand. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  19. Very Impressive. I have the feeling I would do what you did. What I'm impressed by, is the fact you tried to clear the line over. Nice work. It appeared to have a fair amount of stability coming out of the line twists. That leads me to believe i'd clear the toggles like you did. What altitude did you find yourself flying under your resererve? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  24. Crazy Fukker! Looks like he had plenty of altitude to spare. Think about the person they made do this.. Private Pyle... The live drop test is in need of a volunteer. We choose you. TIm My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  25. My suggestion is look for a new one. It's surprising haw fast the 4 years will go. add another 400 bucks to the price he gave you and you'll get 3 times the use out of it. 450 in my opinion is pretty steep for a unit with only 4 years of service remaining. However, if you are strapped for cash, then at least it will get you in the air with a cypress that has recently been serviced by the factory.
