Just put a comment in two of my posts that I injured it. Didn't make a big post about it. I had just completed a 4pt - 12 way and was coming in for my usual straight in landing. I flared late, my canopy planned out about 6" from the ground, and (according to someone who was watching) my canopy just dropped me the last 6". I landed on my knees with the left one taking the brunt of the impact. Happened so quickly that even though I'd normally do a PLF, I didn't realize it was going on and viola! No PLF! I felt my knee cap move out of place to the inside of my knee and then back in place. No, my knee doesn't lock. Thankfully!!! There is a "tension" on the inside of the knee cap and a red-hot burning fork yelp kind of pain in the knee if the knee cap moves at all in that direction. Life is short! Break the rules! I'm actually not dicking around. I'm following doctor's orders. I saw her June 21st, and she wants to wait until July 5th to see if I'm still in pain to schedule the MRI. I was just curious to see if there is a way to tell without the MRI so I know what to expect. And, from people's responses, ...she'll be scheduling the MRI. Life is short! Break the rules! Thanks! I went to the doctor this past Monday. I'm going again on July 5th. She said that if I'm still in pain then, I get to have an MRI. I'm hoping it's just a sprain, but... I'm, also, on anti-inflammatories and some light P.T., and I'm wearing a knee brace so I'm being a good girl...although, damn it!!! I wanted to jump this weekend and next and... Life is short!
