Skydiving has been on my bucket list for at least 15 years, and I finally took the plunge this summer. I am so glad I chose to go to Start Skydiving! From the moment we arrived at the airport, the staff was kind and courteous. You can tell that the employees love their jobs and each other, and that was really nice to see. Registration was easy; we got through the paperwork and required safety video in less than 30 minutes. We did have to wait a couple of hours to actually jump, but there were picnic tables, shaded areas, games (cornhole and foosball) for our enjoyment. Also, you can watch staff members pack chutes and chat with them a little bit, which I thought was really neat! When it was our turn to get ready to jump, I was matched up with my instructor, Matt Harvey. All I can say is that he was absolutely awesome!! He instantly made me feel calm, secure, and even more excited to jump! I think it was his sixth jump of the day, but Matt still treated his time with me with so much enthusiasm; his excitement was as though he was jumping for the first time too, and I really appreciated that! You can tell when someone loves their job...and Matt loves his job! Things could not have gone more smoothly for the plane ride up or the jump down. Best of all, I decided to splurge and get a video and pictures of my skydive, so now I can re-live it anytime I want. I wasn't going to spend the extra money at first, but I am SO glad I did! Melanie Johnson was the camera girl, and she did a spectacular job!! She was so much fun to work with! All in all, my experience at Start Skydiving was one that I will never, ever forget! I have told so many people about the experience, and I always tell them that I will never jump anywhere else! You guys are the best!! Thanks so much!
