  1. Congratulations! I would be interested in hearing about your experience at burning man ;)
  2. Squirrel hands down wins the strangest add campaign award LOL
  3. I would appreciate some opinion from experienced pilots about back flying an R-bird with no back fly inlets. Would that be rough to learn back fly on? Any tips?
  4. I was wondering about this myself. Thanks.
  5. Sorry to disappoint you boss, but you don't actually have super human multitasking skills. Your just a normal guy like the rest of us degenerates. Keep an eye out for other folks in the sky lest you hurt someone.
  6. I'm with fasted on this. Watched footage of a guy jump off a cliff and fly. That did it for me. Gave up all my other hobbies, sold my truck, snowboard gear, golf stuff, all kinds of stuff so that I could dedicate almost all my income to skydiving and BASE. Luckily I have job security or that too probably would have suffered. Marriage has not suffered, yet... Worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Nothing I have ever done has been more "worth it"
  7. Can anyone list the differences between Skydive San Diego and Pacific Coast Skydive. Specifically which has a larger landing area and if either one allows wingsuits?
  8. Don't be ashamed. you look like a sexy beast. A sexy flying machine. What you say makes sense. I guess it depends on what you are flying. The suit dictates the position makes sense...I would still like to hear the eagles opinion. I CALL THE EAGLE CAAAAHHCAAAHHH CAAAHHCAAAAAAHH>! I summon the eagle !
  9. I see alot of backward facing hands. Im crazy. thanks Birdynamnam :)
  10. What I gather from that is that it doesnt really matter. Small suits doing what they are designed for..Hand placement is dependent on what you are trying to do. / I need to flock more.. I summon the eagle!!!!! CAAHHCAHHHHH CAHHHHCAAAAAAHHHH. The eagle has been summoned! You shall not defeat the eagle!
  11. I am new to WS flying. Flying a shadow. The thought in my head was always that I had to have my palms facing earth. This put my elbows bent in what felt like a natural position (bent toward my feet)...the wrong direction for efficient WS flight. I met a really cool dude and after our first jump he told me to bend my elbows forward and showed me good body position. On the next jump I did what he said and literally felt my wings inflate for what felt like the first time. It felt good. But my palms were still toward earth. Palms to earth and elbows bent forward just feels weird to me as a human being. Not natural. So my question is: Does it matter what i do with my hands? I just have not really seen people fly these suits palms to sky.... what am I missing?
  12. I love this thread. Life is short. We are a tiny blip on the universal radar. We are nothing. Live life as if it's your last day. JUMP JUMP JUMP>
  13. And just a short drive from Lauterbunnen...Nice!!!
  14. I'm not experienced enough to comment on that. Just want to say I thought it was great how your vocabulary, spelling, and sentence structure was great but you spelled skills with a Z. Like that's just how it's supposed to be lol. Awesome
  15. Your not just responsible for yourself.. Your sharing the sky with other people. They're safety relies on your currency also. Yea you can jump, pull, and land...But what you don't know can hurt you, or someone else.
  16. Yeah man...there are some pretty incredible women out there flying around.
  17. I disagree with the advise to buy an Altimaster 2. I bought one and took good care of it. Soon after the needle started sticking and I have to tap it to get it to move. People on the plane ALWAYS point to it like WTF? because it's way off then I tap it and it moves to the correct altitude. Instructors are always like "yeah.. they all do that" It's a piece of shit.
