I would color them with a black ink marker, but not time for the trash yet. Do they have somewhere you can donate them? Goodwill?

So I compile a list every year of the best rated movies of the year. Basically a must see movie list for me and some friends. I do a bit of research on the web, and make a list of some of the best rated movies of the year. There are a couple of movies that got mixed reviews, but I really want to see them anyway. Most are chosen for their outstanding reviews. Please feel free to add your suggestions to the list throughout the following year. Also dont hesitate to let us know if you disagree with a movie selection. What flicks have you seen from the list ? Most of all I hope you enjoy the movie selections, and the films!

Congrats, but if your using e-cigs your still using nicotine every day thus you have not really quit sort of. I'm not trying to be a dick, just saying. I know a friend that has been using e- cigs for years, thus he is still addicted to the nicotine. No doubt e- cigs are way better for you though. Good luck!

Congrats on getting your license!!

So THIS is why I'm a little apprensive about starting

Why was there only one instructor , not two?? Why did he let go of you before you pulled? Did he make an attempt to get to you? It seems to me your instructor/instruction is at fault here. -

Room to Rent Early September for Lodi, CA ?
Toddnkaya1 replied to UKKid35's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Hi, have you tried couchsurfing.org? People put up their homes for guests to stay for FREE!! Sign up online and check it out. We have hosted three different guests in Pittsburgh, and we have stayed with two amazing hosts in Detroit. You do not have to host to stay with others. Todd -
Maybe he should propose in a way that would be meaningful and special to his girlfriend. Maybe she would love something romantic and fun? It sounds like the skydiving thing is more about you and him.

Tandem jump , 420 lbs. plus shoot, DZ at zero elevation . 30 seconds seems about right?
-
Thanks folks!! So I calculated about 32 seconds of free fall from 10,500 to pulling at 5,000 ft. Sound about right?
-
Jumping from 10,500 opening at 5,000. About how many seconds of free fall ?
-
How many seconds of free fall for every thousand feet? Thanks

Never dunnit but will go Indoor at least
Toddnkaya1 replied to wan2doit's topic in Introductions and Greets
Hi Frank, Not trying to give you a hard time . :-) That said I may contradict myself. Even very safe jumpers with thousands of jumps have accidents and die. The beauty of the tandem, is that you really need to know nothing before a five min. breifing. All you need to do us trust the TI and trust his years of experienc and training. You don't need to go fly indoors. Really all you need to do is relax, enjoy!!, and kick the TI in the butt with your feet. He or she may let you steer a bit if you want. Todd -

Toddnkaya1 replied to wan2doit's topic in Introductions and Greets
Things are way way safer now than in 1969. I'm not sure what year but I heard one year there were between one and two million tandems with zero fatalities .if your excited about the sport, man up and take a tandem . IMHO Or go out to the drop zone and hang out and watch the expressions on the tandem novices, then sign up for one. Your chance of an injury or death are so slim. At your age I would ask the pro to do a stand up landing though. I had a very soft butt landing and my ass and back were sore for a couple of weeks. I say again , go for it man!! -
I would ask them for some names at the DZ, and ask them to post your name and number on the wall board.

Dude, go do a tandem dive!!! 58 seconds of free fall can not be replicated indoors. You got a pro on your back. Flying up in a tiny Cesna to 10,500 is awesome as well! Best fine minutes of your life. Go for it!! -

Student canopies/line twist?
Toddnkaya1 replied to Toddnkaya1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Are student canopies , or larger canopies less likely to get line twist which result in violent spinning situations ,compared to smaller ,more advanced canopies? Thanks, Todd -
Hi Kyle, Welcome! There are no wind tunnels close by at all. See the wind tunnel forum here. They are building one or a few in Chicago which I think will be the closest to Pittsburgh. Wind tunnels are very pricey , at $600 to $900 an hour. Most people do 2to 3 min. sessions. I live in Pittsburgh as well, and may be doing my AFF at Skydive Pa. as well. I will send you a PM. Good luck! Todd

Thanks for your detailed response Doug! Ours was a smoothe and pretty soft landing. I did not feel any pain until the next day. The small jolt to this area seems to compressed my lower back a bit. I was thinking if they made any type of pad to soften the blow to the ass thus reducing the pressure put on the lower back.?
-
Is landing on your butt the only way to safely land for tandums? I had a gentle landing, but my ass hurt for days and my lower back is still sore and tight and a bit painful. Just asking... Thanks
