Well, since the search feature is still broken and I'm not about to dig back months looking for that thread, you all have a bit of time to think about if you are going to make it to the WFFC or not! Send me a PM if you can make it, and I'll add you to the hard copy! Registration has been lowered, and preregistration jump tix are still at $21. What really amazes me is how people spin the numbers. For most boogies, 300 or so turn out and it's an amazing success! When a thousand turn out for the WFFC (There were more, but that's another story), people say it's dead? WTF? The vibe at the WFFC is just plain unreal, if you are open enough in your emotions to accept it. Those going there looking for a reason to hate it will certainly find a reason, but would be able to anywhere. It's a great boogie, and I personally hope it will continue to be so. It's not a sign of the times; it's just being human. Sorry, but I get grumpy when people imply that things used to be somehow different. Maybe the outlet was slightly different, but bored young people have always caused trouble and probably will always continue to. Trouble? Sure, it's the nature of youth. I feel for ya bro, I really do, but you DID let it lapse. A great deal of memberships and other items charge a fee for lapsed membership/registration/ect. USPA does not, though I think they should. Charge an extra 5 or 10 bucks for a renew on an expired membership. I know I would have had to pay it a few times, but after that you can bet I'd be paying to renew in time or even buying a lifetime). As an example, the tags for cars here in WI charge an extra 10 bucks for renewing after they expire. The only way to avoid that is to let them remain expired for a year, and then sign a non-operation statement. Would you have waited this/that long if it meant an extra $10 bucks?
