dude! You got some mad assed camera skillz! That's the sleakest, bestest looking shot of wind blades I've ever seen! Jay always gets great shots of wind blades. doing 40 jumps a year its hard to quite capture the freefall part of skydiving ROFLMAO! Ya know, he did get his mug in there too. Just for the record, it's not me, this time. I'm not at home in WI, I'm just outside of DC, getting ready to deliver in Baltimore in the morning! Personally, I'd bitchslap myself, for dropping my rig off at Jumpshack in DeLand yesterday for an inspection and repack, and then going north and stopping at USPA HQ, without a rig. It's unbelievable what you miss when you can't be on here all the time. I had no idea about this, until tonight, when seeing a blue skys comment on a picture he was in on MySpace. I'm incredibly saddened by this, and I hope you, Duece, are at peace. Jumps? Ha, count the years! I was told by a good friend, who has been in this sport way, waaaaaaay longer than I, that a pie has no expiration date, and the longer you put it off, the worse it's gonna get. Just ask Peanut from Alabama. Anyway, I did my 100th with Sunshine and Sarge at Skydive Chicago on May 3rd, 2003. The pie caught up with me at the Dublin Boogie this year, March 16th, 2007 I believe. I have read the books and for every other HP movie, I've been able to keep the series content in mind and pretty much fill in the blanks and get a lot of enjoyment out of the films. Goblet of Fire also left a LOT out, as did Prisoner of Azkaban. But this one? It was way too disjointed, left out critical storylines, and made some changes that were really out of context- stuff like Harry handing over the prophecy to Malfoy, hearing the prophecy in front of his friends and the full importance of the prophecy not being explained. I walked out of the theatre shaking my head! I would imagine (ok, hope) that the DVD release will include a lot of what was cut out. I saw it this weekend with our resident nun (She really is! ) and enjoyed it. I do agree that the editing was rather bad, and the ending seemed very anti-climactic to me, but oh well, I still had a good time. It's your life, live it! Yes, and no. I'm sure this will be a great boogie, but that's it, a boogie. All will have a blast, but what set the WFFC apart was it wasn't at a DZ. A bunch of skydivers got together at an airport that normally didn't have a DZ, and put together a kick ass boogie. Going to summerfest, you're still going to the DZ. Like I said, I'm sure it'll be a great boogie, but the only other one I've been to that had the same feel as the WFFC was the St. Patricks Day boogie in Dublin, GA. Same feel, huge size difference, though that one is growing rapidly. I'm going to try and hit at least a day or 2 of Summerfest, but I can't be sure where my truck will be then. The way I look at it, I can go to SDC any time, but Dublin and the WFFC only come around once every year (or 2). It's your life, live it!
