  1. If you're looking for a new suit but don't want to sell your rig to afford it, check out Body Sport's website. I ordered my crater suit right before Christmas and it was on my porch about four weeks later. They keep your measurements on file so ordering another suit is easy as long as you haven't spent too much time at the buffet. The quality is excellent and so far the colors haven't faded at all. It's a good suit for beginners and pros alike.
  2. I've had my Galaxy for about six months and for over a hundred jumps. I replaced the wriststrap/finger loop mount that comes standard with a regular wrist strap, which is more secure for me in freefall. I chose this altimeter primarily because the lens is field-replaceable. I ordered a spare lens with mine in case I broke the original, which fortunately hasn't happened. It's been to 12,500' and reads accurate against the plane altimeter. It's very compact but easy to read.
  3. I'm new to skydiving although I have quite a few military static line jumps. As a student, I have jumped Raven 3's and 4's and a PD 235. I did my research and ordered a Sabre 2 demo canopy from Performance Designs. I made the call on a Monday and received it on Thursday. Customer service was excellent. I made five jumps with it last weekend and hope to make as many this weekend before I have to return it. The demo came with soft links and collapsible slider, which may be standard, I'm not sure. I put it in a Javelin. Opening was fast and smooth. The canopy was a lot faster than I'm used to, but was very responsive and controllable. The landings were great once I learned to flare it properly. I'm definitely getting one. If you're canopy shopping, spend the thirty bucks and try a demo, you won't be sorry.
