    British life

Little Britain..... absolutely hilarious! ...nuff said.
  2. I found it right away and it was the first thing I noticed when it was in the UK mag, but thats because I'm so much smarter than you-- dork! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  3. I have evil lookin' eyes in this photo..... they are weird though-- got brown in the middle and blue on the outside. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  4. what from his argument makes you consider this guy an athiest or a pagan?? All because he doesn't believe in MAN'S RELIGION doesn't make him a believer of somesorts. There is a difference between being religious and spiritual.
  5. Born and raised in williamstown, NJ-- just oustide of Philly. Been living in FL the past four years. I love the skydiving in FL, though I do miss crosskeys sometimes. Love the FL weather, the people are nicer, but the food sucks (except the sushi), and I miss the leaves changing colors. On the other hand, FL has beautiful beaches, natural springs and rivers to canoe/free dive/snorkle and stuff. So, everything is a trade off, I guess. No matter what I say people will still think Jersey is the armpit of the nation. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  6. Hopefully more people will think twice before they vote in the 08' election. I don't want to say a bunch because if I listed all that I didn't like about Bush I would need a A LOT more space to write. Basically, I really hope the constitution is still standing by the time this man is out of office. It's like none of it matters to him. Seperation of church and state for instanc; Once you take away one thing, then the rest of what this country has been founded by can be torn down in a hot new york minute. I just see it all crumbling and I'm scared to death.... I'm getting ready to graduate college and enter into a very unstable situation; the reality market, economy, jobs... I just feel like the bottom is going to fall out soon, no thanks to this butthead. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  7. green bottles always suit pretty well. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  8. I kept my gear right in my room while I lived on campus, and now that I live in my own house with friends as roommates who go to school with me, I still just keep it around. When I was in a dorm I would slip it under my bed next to my gear duffle bag. I never had any problems with it. Most of the time people would look at it and go "what the hell is that?" If you're worried about theft/damage, look into getting renters insurance which is offered by most universities. I know mine had it. Or you can check if your local DZ has lockers, and you can store it right there. Good luck. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  9. I didn't read the book, and I absolutely loved it. The rest of the crowd I was with read the book, and though they thought the movie was still good, they thought the book was better. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  10. hahaha....very true. Don't ever piss off your waitress/waiter, and don't ever come into a resturaunt a few minutes before close. I have been a server for a long time, and thats the two golden rules you can live by as a customer. and.... TIP, people!!! Take care of your servers, unless they sucked so bad they deserve it. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  11. I lost a bonehead over sebastian. I kinda knew the strap wasn't as tight as I usually had it, but the helmet fit so snug and we were first out the door as I was getting ready I figured it would be OK for just one more. At about 5 grand it slipped off, but I happened to catch it over my head as it came flying off. I didn't know what to do, so I tracked over a golfcourse and let it go figuring I could find it there, but it never turned up and we never found it afterwards when we went looking. It's a good lesson though....I'm a freak about checking my helmet now before I get out the door. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  12. I've got an OJ pre K from 98 as well. I have a Tri 135 and a Tempo 150 in it, and in my opinion, as well as a few packers, it is a bit tight feeling. BUT, my canopy is also brand spanking new. A more broken in canopy, and a smaller reserve, and it would probably be perfect. Here are a few pics of mine :) Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  13. I'm an undergrad in a Meteorology major, so being a student is my work as well as a full time server at a resturaunt and part time at the computer lab on campus. It's a lot, but it's really OK....I guess there could be worse things, but there are a few things I do hate: I hate the managers in the resturaunt business-- why do they all have to be pricks?? I hate people who don't know how to tip, and I hate the customer that no matter what you do, they are never happy. Other than that, the job is OK, I guess. As for my future job in the Meteorology field-- I'm sure I'll LOVE it. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  14. sweet....I'll be in NJ for the summer about an hour from six flags. I grew up at that place-- I love it! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  15. Hmmm.... yea, I have to agree that I hate that song "Photograph," but I do love the new single called "saving me." I dunno why, but it's got a nice ring to it and a different feel than the last few singles which have sucked ass. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  16. we weren't doing RW-- half of the skydive was a sitfly and I'm usually a freeflyer myself. I've never taken more than a few seconds in the door. The people at the DZ know that and know I wouldn't be waiting for no good reason. On top of jumping and knowing spots, I'm also a pilot. It was my boyfriends first time out with stills and thats why we exited on our bellys so he could feel out the new helmet set up and all. I agree that RW people do take longer in the door to set up which can be frustrating. But when they are waiting because the spot is bad, then that is a different story and there's nothing wrong with doing that. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  17. I'm the girl who was jumping with Matt that day on the load. We had a bad off landing together over a month back where I ended up fracturing a bone and was out of comission for a bit, so we're very cautious about the spots now-- especially me with only 100 jumps on a brand new canopy. We were first out and the winds were honking this day. The green light came on and we were still down wind, exactly where we landed off downwind before in the tight spot a month before, so we both hung out heads out the door and continued to spot for a few extra seconds. This whole time I was getting nudged over and over again by the "experienced freeflyer" behind me. After I shot them a dirty look, Matt climbed all the way out as I was still on the inside slot and still getting a push from behind. The next one was enough and I lost my grip and missed the whole count and fell out completely before Matt who was supposed to go first to take the video of the exit and all. We weren't in the door for longer than 10 seconds or so, and the aircraft speed was at a CRAWL-- trust me, nobody was getting hosed behind us. I heard Lyle Presse tell his big way later on during a dirt dive that day that if peole were yelling at them to get out (since they were first out) to just sit and wait for a good spot since the light was coming on a little down wind that day and the first people out were getting hosed. The freefly guys in the middle/end of the line up were getting itchy (on other loads besides mine too since Lyle was saying something as well) for no reason except to rush; they're spot was going to be good even if the first outs waited a few seconds because of the high winds and early light. Either way-- in some situations I guess its funny, but these guys weren't trying to be funny. They were really trying to get us out. If it was one of my good friends that did it and looked at me and smiled I would have smiled back and gave him the finger or something, but I really didn't even know these guys. I'm a university student and don't get to jump that often, and when one of the few I get is all screwed up because somebody is a d*ck in the door, it felt like a wasted skydive since it was screwed up in the begining. Thats a meeker point compared to the safety issues surrounding the whole thing. ::sigh:: I dunno..... it's done and over with and hopefully nobody else gets their skydive screwed up by anybody behind them becuase they're impatient skygods. sorry for the long post-- I was trying to keep my nose out of it but I felt compelled to put my two sense in today. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  18. I love the triathlon! I have been jumping a Sabre 150 for a while, and when I bought my own gear wanted to downsize to a Triathlon or Spectre. I've demo'd both, and the Tri wins hands down and is now whta I have purchased for my gear. No matter how you pack it, it opens great. I love the way it flies, and it lands ever so softly and is very forgiving in any types of winds. Compared to the Sabre though, I don't feel like I could get back from a far spot if I had to hike my legs up to my chest and try, but thats the price you pay for the 7 cell and its stability I guess. This is an awesome canopy that I'll be on for a VERY long time.
  19. Hey-- I resent that! I'm OK-- Bumped, bruised, and scared. But, man-- You should see the tree! LOL, but seriously-- it was a kick ass jump in perry's tracking suit (thanks for the borrow, dude!) and being with matt in the wingsuit, but totally sucked landing off, and the tree sucked even more! The canopy is OK, so is matt, and so am I-- it's all good. Wish the weather would have cooperated better though! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  20. I really don't know what else to say..... everytime I come on here to post I get too upset reading the thread and I never get around to posting. I met Sara four years ago when I started out at xkeys. I really got to know her that first year, but I have only been back for the summers since because of university, but she never ceased to have a huge smile when she saw me every year and brightly ask what I've been up to all winter and give me a hug. I have never seen the girl without a smile on her face......EVER. She really was a unique soul. This last month when I was in xkeys for a week before leaving the country, she was talking about how elated she was to receive her ratings..... and all I could think about was "holy crap, I remember when you were in manifest and still learning to sitfly on a cold day in december when we barely had enough to get a load up." She was an amazing soul to have around; so bright and cheery like a little ray of sunshine all the time. My condolences to her family and everybody else who was blessed enough to know her...... my thoughts also go out to friends and family of Ron. Blue ones forever...... Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  21. I've also known Craig for about three years. I am not at Xkeys that often because I go to school in FL, but we still get the good ol' karaoke nights at the Alpine in. This past summer, I was singing "Picture" with the dude who runs the karaoke there, and "Clifford" (as he was so known as there, lol) came up in the middle of the song and convinced him that he could sing it better.....so he took the mic. and sang the rest of the song with me dispite the very angry look from the other guys face who was singing already. Then last summer it was the "If I had a million dollars" fight. It was nice singing with PJ, then Craig joined in with his drunken stouper (sp?) and then I babysat the two of them so they woud stopping beating the living piss out of eachother. (after we got kicked out of the bar, of course! Like Joe was suprised or something though) I have not been current since last January, and Craig tried really hard to get me back into the sport this past summer so I could jump with him, Will and Selwyn. I really wish I would have taken the opporotunity. He like to have his fun, but Craig was always a good guy with me and a presence I will truely miss when I go back home to NJ this summer. PS:......who can ever forget what happened on that wacky night with the rope and a piece of heavy duty equipment?? lol Blue ones, Kiddo.......... Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
