If I'm here and not down south absolutely!! Hey Lucky, would it be out of bounds if i were to ask you to jump one time with me? Thank you for the invitation but I haven't jumped in a while. Maybe there's someone in your area who'd like to jump with you. Good luck!

Help please I think that might what be wrong... who are YOU!!! who am I? as in internally; my hopes, dreams, likes, fears, etc?

Hmmmmm, that trick my need to be rebooted for the 21st century! I might actually try that with a variation

So you're saying that if I jump, they will come? Maybe... But what i'm trying to get peeps to understand is that being a skydiver is a great icebreaker for dates (outside the DZ community). Why? Because, from my experience, chicks get all "wow'ed" and really interested when you tell them you're a skydiver.

I think it's the new digital cameras that make ya look younger... I don't look like I'm 186 at all IMO! Airtwardo..is that picture of you? I RARELY say things like this but you're quite the charm...if i were a chick i'd jump your bones in a heartbeart

I'm almost 46 years old and I've never seen a guy talk commitment avoidance like that. If the SO moved to you, would you always want her bags packed so you can ejection seat her at your first inkling of the corral gate closing? There's no way you're almost 46 You look no older than 26 tops...truth!

I believe the word love is a broad term that can mean a spectrum of definitions. Simply put, on one end there's the kind of love as "a one night stand (whether sober or drunk) involving two or more participants" and on the other end there is love as "a commitment/promise to a monogamous relationship". So to answer your question Would i move out for love (as in a one night stand) : depends. Would i move out for love (as in a monogamous relationship) : maybe,,can the significant other move to me instead?

You've never been married have you? Well, love and marriage are what i call commitment/life changing words. For some guys it works. But for a rare few we live by this philosophy: " I am like a wild horse. You can't tame me. You put the oats in the pen, though, and I'll come in for a nibble every day. But the minute you shut that gate, I'll jump the fence and you'll never see me again."

A great philosopher once said: "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner." That rule has always worked out for me.

Bro...sure there are a ton of hot chicks at the DZ....but i'm referring to women whuffo outside the DZ community. It's not how many jumps, it's just a matter of having the license. Just tell a potential mate you have your license. Makes for an awesome ice breaker. you can even tell them you only have 25 jumps and they'll think it's a ton! show em your AFF cat 1 video and they'll still be wow'ed. The point is, and i'll say it again, being a skydiving is a great ice breaker for speed dating, dating, bar dating, eharmony.com, etc. Try it out

you're doing it wrong bro. Continue jumping for the women!

After a year, i decided to...

...take the plunge and try out skydiving! Got myself booked for a tandem this Saturday to see what all the hub bub is all about. Wish me and my tandem instructor luck! -
Exactly what i was looking for...citing directly from SIM. I think he can handle 6ft..it's not that he can't swim or tread water it's just that he isn't the best swimmer or treader. To become scuba instructor certified (so that I can teach film crews how to safely conduct underwater operations) i had to tread water for 15 minutes but also had to tread water with all my gear, with the BC DEFLATED, for 5 minutes then swim 400 yards with the BC still deflated with an additional 10 lbs of lead..that sucked but we all made it through

I have a friend who has a friend that already has an A lic. this friend of a friend has all the requirements done for a B lic except the water training. However, this friend of a friend is a terrible swimmer and can't tread water well. Do you know if this friend of a friend can do a water training course in a shallow pool; like 5ft deep?

Welcome. I have family out in LA (who work in the entertainment business) and I know the city quite well. here are a few tips and tricks: 1. Stay away from the touristy areas as they often are, well, geared for tourists. These include Hollywood blvd, Sunset or any area within a 2 mile radius north or south of the hills. 1 time visit is ok, just to say you've been there. 2. Best Mexican food, bar none, is in North Hollywood also known as The Valley. The Valley is also the armpit of LA...not fond of it but has very good food. 3. Best Chineese food, bar non, is in San Gabriel or China Town. I'd avoid China town cuz a) let's face it, most likely those Asians are not the best drivers and 2) while the food is good the prices are just a tad more than in the San Gabriel valley. 4. Farmer's market on La Brea and Fairfax...it is a tourist destination so if you are inclined to go there i'd recommend going on a weekday (early in the morning) and you might catch a "star" or two. 5. Santa Monica beach..awesome place but the water is really dirty you can feel it being really dirty. I'd recommend Zuma Beach for surfing or Leo Carillo for scuba diving. Also you have to try out Neptunes Catch for the best fish and chips west of the missisippi. 6. Crenshaw has a bad reputation from all the gang movies in the 90's...however The Jungle, as it is affectionately called, has some of the best bbq and soul food in LA. Baby Blues or Cecille's is a great place to start. 7. Motorcycles..if you ride a motorcycle you can legally split lanes but cannot go any faster than 10mph above traffic. 8. Orange County rivalry. You live in LA support the Kings, Clippers, Dodgers, or Lakers (well maybe not the Lakers). You live in OC support the Ducks or Angels. Thanks
