I think that was quades point about Plank length. I stilll think its because there is no actual speed given. Put some numbers in and it doesn't work anymore.

Err just a guess but..... the problem doesnt have exact numbers for the speed. If you put numbers in place of the relative fractions for each ones speed, then you can calculate that achilles will overtake the tortoise and win. The point is that there is no reference speed supplied. Is that right?

Um, pretty crap one my dad told me when I was little but here goes... A skydiver is making a jump, and everything goes smoothly until he goes to pull. He throws the PC and the canopy opens into a big mess of lines and material. So he cuts away, and pulls his reserve. But nothing comes out. He keeps trying to get the reserve out but to no avail. Panicking, he looks at the ground, and is mystified to see a figure in combat fatigues floating up towards him. As they pass, he asks the soldier "do you know anything about fixing parachutes?" To which the soldier replies "No, do you know anything about defusing bombs?". I must remember to punch my dad next time I see him...

My last jump was on a fury 220, rental gear! I didn't like it. Definitely getting ZP on my first canopy.

I can spray saliva from the underside of my tongue at will, like a snake spitting. The kids at the center I used to work at thought it was cool, but everyone else says its gross. Edit to add: I have a range of about 4 and a half feet, with precision. I can spray each side individually too, or both at once.

Ah! I get it! Just one from the bag labelled mixed. If its black then thats the actually black bag, and the one labelled black is the white bag, and the one labelled white is the mixed bag. And vice versa if the marble is white...

But if you draw the line at one conviction, it takes away the deterrent that they're aiming for. People could just do it until they got caught once, then stop, knowing it wouldn't affect their chances at an education. There can be no half measures with these kinds of issues. -
When I was doing AFF, one of the other guys there froze up on his level 1 and the instructor had to pull for him. Its not a case of not worrying about pulling just because you've got someone who'll do it for you (and hey, even if they don't, theres always the CYPRES!), its just an extra backup, and at the time (about a year ago) it definitely made me feel a lot happier!

No way. If I had a criminal record it would be hard enough to get a decent job without being denied an education on top of that. This is not a good way to deal with crime, as it would just make the problems that drive many to crime even more prolific. -
