  1. Yes, tell people I work about it. Whufoos will have a negative opinion, if they are potential employers or not. Be proud of Skydiving, it challenges you.
  2. Had a great Cat D2 Skydive yesterday in the AFF program, passed going onto Cat E1. The turns in freefall went smooth. Getting comfortable starting and ending them. Spoke with my Instructor Adam about hanging out in the Holding Area. Did that, the Cat D2 called for working the rear risers. Did that, the turns went great. The DZ is closing for the winter, so may hay to go the Florida DZ to keep current. Thanks for the input. Blue Skies
  3. Phreezone, Thanks, was going to ask the Instructors, about this next time. Just wanted to get a feel about it from others. Know asking the Instructors face to face is best.
  4. Hello, Am in the AFF Program just completed the Cat D1. Learning new things, so this may appear silly, But want to get it right. When one tells you to hang out in the holding area, 3,000 AGL feet to 4,000 feet AGL. What things, turns, applying the brakes, do you do to stay in the holding area? Thanks
  5. danielskydiver, the DZ where I go uses the decision point on EP's at 2,500 feet AGL.
  6. John, Am on D1 now things are going great. Got some wind tunnel time, which helped. The Instructor said he noticed a marked improvement.
  7. Markup, Have been skydiving with rigs from 200 to 240.
  8. Read the article. Believe the people who did those skydives were not crazy, but pioneers. Because without them where would we be?
  9. Repeated the Cat C2 today (10/12/2012) after going to the wind tunnel in Orlando. Passed the Instructor said was really improved skydive. The wind tunnel helped a lot.
  10. Ryan, When I get my A License, some jumps, afterwards, comfortable visiting different DZ's sure.
  11. Note, When Orlando IFly was under maintenance called the outdoor tunnel in Deland, the owner took me he closed up shop, and asked what website I found him on. Told him, he said already informed the company to remove the link. Got to Orlando a a week later.
  12. Have the same issue with my legs, not there and too stiff. Took a couple weeks, off, was going then was told the maintenance took longer. Rescheduled, just came back, learned some things, got some corrections. Being away but still practicing helps one to relax. Funny thing got more of a workout in the tunnel, really felt tired afterwards.
  13. Got back from Orlando, Fl for my first wind tunnel training. Got some good practice done. Surprised to say more of a workout than skydiving. Guess it was from being in the tunnel for 15 minutes, sweating, felt tired afterwards. Had to go across the street to the Wet n' Wild to cool off.
  14. Was that Orlando Ifly. Had to reschedule my time on the 22nd of September because of maintenance.
  15. The appointment for a wind tunnel time at Orlando for 09/22 was cancelled to to maintenance took longer. Rescheduled another time for in October.
  16. Repeating my Cat C, jump. Have an issue with my legs, feet and legs. Times I feel like I have my feet far apart, but in reality they are too narrow. Get wild turns. The DZ is going for a tunnel camp in December. Was going to go one in Orlando however maintenance took longer. So made a jump instead. Besides the toe taps any Skydiving suggestions on getting my feet, legs apart during my jump. Had to clarify that know how some skydivers are.
  17. PS.Orlando (IFly) is closed for repairs to the wind tunnel. Was going the 09/22/2012, the representative told me they could be doing repairs until the 24th. May try again later. Did check wit Deland, FL (Outdoor) the owner told he closed down operations completely. Also know where I can find a weight to container listing, when down the road when I may buy one. Am 152 pounds 5'10" ft. Usually jump a between 200 and 240. Like the 240 best.
  18. Am in the AFF program have to agree with you about checking the altimeter. Doing helps to keep one aware and active.
  19. Thanks for the input everyone. Am flying to Orlando next week for some wind tunnel time. Blue Skies [/email]
  20. If you go to a wind tunnel and flying check out Cheapoair.com Like Expedia, much cheaper prices. Going to Orlando, FL for some wind tunnel time. Like you in the AFF program. Spins on both C's one very fast, next jump got more of a airflow. Slowed everything down, the spin was not as fast.
  21. Hello, Am a student in an AFF Program, heading to Orlando, FL for some wind tunnel time. Just wondering does wind tunnel time help that much?
  22. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about skydiving. The place is great to learn how to skydive. Organized, clean. People are just helpful.
  23. Did my first Tandem back in 1990, was in the process of getting my A license back then, but other things took over. Kept doing tandems over the years, got tired of the. Knew I could get my A license and jump by myself. Started the process over. So doing tandems does help.
  24. Going through my AFF jumps (Cat C right now) one instructor told me the easiest way to get a good arch "is to get the dick out." Learned the same thing was arching from my chest, felt the muscles, however the shift in the hips to get the pelvis out is all that is needed. Most guys arch by the chest, that is wrong. Glad you are learning just like me. Blue Skies
