High: Lots of fun jumping this weekend. We had really good progression with our team. Low: Back at work... There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I'm a union member. Reasons: - Free legal help in case of a conflict with my employer. - Unions protects the "common workers" rights. - Without unions big companies could just do like they pleased. Companies locking out union members are not good. Probably on the edge with the law. What company was he working for? Oh...poor you. You have to WORK to get money for skydiving.... I got the same problem, but after some jumps now I almost allways reach it. Instead of getting shorter risers, you could also get softlinks. With softlinks the slider will probably get an inch further down. A bit cheaper than new risers. There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I drive 2.5 - 3 hours every weekend to get to the dz. Would have rocked to live there in the summer, but can't do that yet. In the winter it's snowed in. There's some winter jumping from a cesna 1.5 hours away...brrrr There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I got two cool things going on right now... 2 days payd vacation to compete in the nationals (in august). I'll be kicked out of the office at 15.00 each tuesday and thursday the whole summer due to "summertime" Who else got cool employers/benefits/etc? There are only 10 types of people in the world. On one of my rounds at where I work, I noticed a lady having a lot of skydiving pictures hanging in her cubicle. I asked her if she was jumping and it turned out she had been a competition jumper, but stopped jumping 8 years ago. We talked a little skydiving and now she might want to start again.

Only a good deal if the gear got some pink in it Sounds like a fair price. I fly a Hornet 170 and love it so far. Load mine about 1.1/1. There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I think the point would be that the twists would be pushed down the lines. See the illustration...(yes it sucks, but it illustrates the point) Which one will clear first, given the same amount of twists? The right or left? There are only 10 types of people in the world. From the Norwegian forum, it's been argued that it's best to pull apart as long as you try to stop more twists. As soon as your spinning in the right direction, it's better to pull the riser togheter. That way the jumper turns around, rather than trying to turn the canopy. Does that make sense? Got hit by turbulence this weekend. Crossed the runway a bit low to land on the other side due to a bit of traffic. Didn't want to S turn with people comming up behind me. I knew there would be some turbulence there, because I've landed there before. But I had not landed there in strong winds. Strong winds and hot air from the runway created way more turbulence than I expected. Canopy collapse at 30-40 feet. Dropped pretty fast, got air and flared. Happend very fast, but I were lucky and managed a stand up landing. One more lesson learned cheap. . There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

hmm... - Landing crosswind in 15 knots onto a forrest road. That was an interesting one. Felt so good to nail that landing out thing perfect. (my last landing out was less than perfect. - Getting caught by turbulense at 30 feet. Canopy collaps and get it flying again just in time to flare. Scary shit... - Debut jump with our new 4-way team 4-watt Those are some that stand out, and all were jumped this weekend.

It was suggested on a Norwegian forum that it's better to push the risers together, rather than pulling them apart to get out of a twist. Not what one would do by instinct, but it sounds reasonable. Any thoughts on this, anyone??? There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

With a BOC throwout, how can the secondary jumpmaster deploy for the student if the student fails to do so. A BOC ripcord can be set up with a ripcord on each side. There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

This little game just made my day. I'm not touching the ground today. Whooooohhooooo....jump season is open!

High: Dropzone opens tomorrow, so I'm going jumping

I'll cut away and land my reserve. Much easier to get a repack than a line replacement. Much better than busting an ankle on landing on rear riser. If I get a reserve mal...well guess it wasn't my day then... There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Since they are now Aerodyne int, and have becommed represented in more corners of the world. Getting service, relines, repairs should actually get easier.

I vaguely remember a thread with a boobie picture of a girl with a rig on. Some discussion about the gear followed and most posters were probably under the influence of alcohol. The NA thread was a good one, and it still continues on bleetherchat. (link on Erno's sigline) There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I did a jump with nothing but shorts and shoes with a friend. He was wearing sandals. We decided to play follow the leader. I did e.g. a backflip, and then he had to do the same. Then he did something, and I had to do the same. During the freefall he felt his sandal (which were a bit big) was slipping off his foot. He instantly grabbed his foot and sandal to keep it slipping off. I didn't notice that he had troubble with his sandal, and he laughed his ass of watching me tumble holding my foot....
