for 90% of all relationship threads, there are some logical failures. 1. marriage is only form of relationship. 2. all marriages are defined as successful relationships. 3. even if you are together for 20 happy years, you are not in a relationship. of course, the definition of marriage is the one used by Western countries since 1995. people who like a religious version of marriage, do not like the original, 1st century flavor.

it depends on the process that you use to move from the beginning to the end of the thread. read the thread. come back in and press the "last" button and it bounces forward to the 22,000th response. traffic may be the wrong word. i was referring to network traffic and the unnecessary busy work for the server which creates wait time.

recurrent peeve - people who work primarily using email, but do not understand email. example - asking a question that should be specifically answered by one person. possibly answerable by 10 of the 25 people on the email list. then, not specifying a person, and clicking reply all. my new interview question "give me examples of using reply and reply all while ignoring the large stick".

I used to delight in antagonizing a co-worker who hated mushrooms, by eating them in front of him at lunch. And the really weird part was that he was a vegetarian. cooked mushrooms have the texture, look, and taste of over-heated pencil eraser. i think they are self -recycled practical joke that the French are playing on us all. "wadch ze seely peoples eat zis crap." You’ve tasted “over-heated pencil eraser”? not all women make good cooking choices. pencil erasers are the next generation of vegetarian cooking.

i really liked the scene in Almost Famous and was emotionally charged because it pulled everything together. in the context of the beer commercial, it made no sense except to link it to a scene that worked. copying isn't a sign of creativity.

one of the easiest ways to find informants/leaks is to look at the information that they had, and when they had it. without doing research, i suspect that is how they found the person in the US army who leaked it. if someone gives information to US intelligence services and the information is leaked to wiki, then opposing intelligence teams will isolate the leak in the same way. lack of security will cause sources to think twice before supplying information to the US intelligence community. such information may include planned attacks on the US military or civilian population. this has increased danger to the Americans both abroad and at home.

being a vegetable scares me more. No one said you had to die when you went in or bounced. Dieing doesn't scare me. Almost dieing scares me. (not going to re-type the grab-the-grass joke for the new people) -
Do you mean correctly classified? By the way (and this isn't necessarily directed at you normiss) I'd recommend some people here actually read E.O. 13526 if you're not familiar with how classification works. It's long, but at least take a look at sections 1.1, 1.7, and 1.8. Other than that I don't have much to add beyond what I've already written on the matter. The only thing that truly concerns me is diplomatic correspondence. Most countries consider diplomatic communications to be a special class. If diplomatic text/emails/notes are made public, then it impacts what can actually be done. Sure, they can publish those notes, but then it cuts down on communication. Then, events that could increase trade, or stop wars, may be carried on in a different manner. If Wikileaks publishes items that create problems for diplomacy, then it is not harmless.

Real life is different and younger women realize it. Some people claim that men don't understand women. I believe it is simple. "Control of their lives" - however that is defined. My best friend is a woman who was recently appointed to a VP position at another firm (no college, just hard work). I see women achieving everywhere. However, movies are the stuff of dreams. Sometimes, even the most self-sufficient wants a little help. The movies are now making it "us vs them, and we win" instead of "me vs them, with the guy saving me". In an odd fashion, action movies are becoming romantic-action. They start to reflect the view that younger women have of themselves. In the 40s, the women of danger were nurses in a battle zone and that was the only way to portray that. Now it is in all facets of life.

I would imagine that there is some kind of triage process. I would imagine that there are guidelines. He doesn't just put anything/everything that nutball-maximus presets as a leak about alien contacts. Otherwise, there would not be enough disk space in the world. So, he does have editorial guidelines and control.

Now it's two. There all whole teams of musicians who take boring music and make it calmer. Elevators and dentists office like calming music. A big fear is being trapped in an elevator for an extended time because of two problems. That stupid music and the need to pee if not rescued soon. Just a general question, how does one artfully start that discussion with the other occupants of the elevator ? "Can we designate this corner as the urinal ? " "A moment of privacy please? " -
Today, I caught the last 30 minutes of the movie Redeye on tv. The female lead was not surprisingly athletic and did not have special martial arts training. Typical attractive victim. However, she took things into her own hands and saved the day. She overcame the villain and fought back in a manner that a normal person would, with weapons of convenience. Not a bad change.

The person who invented the Snuggie has made a bunch of money off of the product. The Snuggie was their greatest idea and now they have time to sit home and consider another idea that is not quite as good. -
I see those skills in use in the most interesting places.
