  4. I noticed it and thought.. if that works I should start financing my jump season that way. after all I am as underpriveleged as they come when it comes to jumpers S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  5. I have to read it right away. I think wow. someone out there noticed me and decided to PM me. How cool Pathetic I know but that is how it is... AGe S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  6. My first downwind was pre 100 jumps. I was doing a coach jump with the DZO and had lost sight of the windsock for a sec so I decided to just follow the DZO in. After all that is what they do at the bigger dropzones right? (we are only a 1 cessna DZ). Wrong!!!! He was doing a downwind on purpose of course under his Samurai. At about 6o feet I had the realization that the grass was whipping by faster than I ever had seen it do before. Shit... I almost ran it out too... I returned to the loft to laughing (as I was still alive and unhurt) and you followed Hutch in? Silly Boy. I learned a valuable lessons that day: 1) Never follow the DZO in. 2) The importance of being able to land in any direction at any time. 3) don't loose sight of the windsock. but if you do see number 2. Since then I bought my own gear and coming towards the end of last season I was confident enough to try landing crosswind and downwind often. Many people asked what the hell I was doing. It seemed that I was a radical thinker for wanting to do this on purpose.Got a few pokes for having to walk back so far from the downwinders. but by the end of it I wasn't even really caring what direction I landed in so long as I didn't endanger anyone else cause I was confident in my ability to land my canopy under many different conditions. I have since bought new gear and I miss that confidence. but it will come. 1 step at a time. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  7. Yes I think it is lagging again too. I get the standard emails when someone replies to one of my posts and there have been several today that I haven't seen an email for. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  8. I got a soft reserve pillow on my new voodoo too! That is new for me. About the only think that i thought of when jumping it for the firest time was to practice felling it and to keep my hands warm. This isn't an issue for you southerners but up here where it gets cold in the fall you can have cold hands that don't work quite right and that would be no fun! 9. Truth be known I think that I have been described as "odd folk" a few times in my life as well... AGe S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  10. Pete if this study was done by Our city I am sure that the facts are skewed. But for those of you that don't know our "fair" city I eill give you some reasoning for this. For starters: This Data was probably collected from our provincial insurance provider. Yes we have public insurance here which means we all get screwed by the same insurance provider. People are always saying here that old folks cause and are in a lot of acidents but MPI is always saying not, as in this study. A while back someone did an independant study and determined that over half of the accidents that older folks were in were never reported. Most of these folks that are driving the big cars that are far too big for them have enough money that when they do get into an accident they pay for the damage to their car as well as the "victims" car without ever having it reported. So as a result The figures that MPI have do not reflect reality. In places here the speed limits are stupid! They build major corridors through semi residential areas and then make people slow down by slapping a 50 (KM) max sign up. People want to continue to drive at speed so that they don't have to slow down every 5 minutes and they can feel like they get somewhere. This is rampant here cause the timing on many of the lights here is terrible. I have been at intersections where the timing is so bad that maybe 2 cars will get through a turn at rush hour where there are like 30 cars waiting to turn. I actually heard an interview once with the city engineer responsible for the light timing and he basically said: The city is built like crap roadwise and we know we screw people over at the lights but someone has to get screwed. This is perpetuated once again by the fact that in many places in this city you need to make that one appropriate turn or else you are screwed for blocks. I don't mean on the highway where you have to travel to the next exit and come back I mean on a regular road. With all the other crappy driving conditions who would want to travel all the way down the street to turn legally where there is a perfectly good turning place nearby that you feel you can execute a safe turn. Of course when you do the cops show up... not saying I advocate just saying that I understand. And in case you haven't figured this out I haven't always lived here. 11. Same in Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada for my foreign friends). The concept of a "fast lane" has completely missed this city. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

  13. Please don't what Andy2 said to heart too seriously. Though it was a little sharp for my liking too. It was his/her opinion which they are entitled to. I on the other hand am curious about chapter II. Thankyou for sharing. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  14. Hi.. As a skydiver and a biker I say don't do it. Here are my reasonings. 1) Motorcycle Helmets are large and the field of view is restricted ( they are not made to allow you look at your torso and find your handles easily) 2)If it is an old helmet it is heavy. and if it is an old cheap helmet it is even heavier. To get a relatively light motorcycle helmet I paid almost $300 CDN and it is still heavy compared to its $400 brother. 3) I have what is considered a good helmet for my motorcycle helmet and at highway speeds (not insane speeds) I can get my visor to blow open. Not a whole lot but it does open. This can't happen in freefall. 4) Line twists will become an issue as well with your now large head in that helmet. My suggestion buy a protec. It doesn't look cool but it will be a lot safer. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
  15. Personally I hate RealAudio and it's players. I find it to be like a virus! Installing this and that here and there. I just personally don't use it. although that means that there is some video that I don't see as a result of it. Maybe the current version that they have out isn't up to snuff and thus the memory leaks. As for how you can prevent it if you want the player, maybe download the most basic version of what they offer and hope for the best. However if the mem leak problem is a problem with the current version it may not be preventable until a patch is issued. 20. I got them off of the newsgroups... 1 version doesn't have the 12 stones singer (the original I think)in it, and another one has slightly different beginning and background music. I was mistaken I thought I had downloaded 4 versions but I only seem to have grabbed 3. PM me and I can arrange to get them to you. I am in the prcess of compiling some of her other work as well that isn't on the Fallen album. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
