I soo feel your pain. I am hanging on by a thread. I could very easily be you. I have a degree in computer engineering. The profession that will always be hiring they said when I started. Guess what ? They lied. I live paycheck to Paycheck... wait scratch that. EI check to EI check and that will only last till August. But I need to be in the sky. With the crap I feel in my life. I think I would just stop breathing and die if I couldn't do a jump. I complain lots about not being able to jump more and I thank you for reminding me to be more humble. You will jump again. I can feel the desire in your words. Stick around here and post now and again and tell us how you are doing. And continue to look heavenwards. Keep the faith my friend Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

no my dz doesn't. I wish they did, but it is a small DZ with mostly RW flyers. Those of us that are interested in other aspects of our sport have to save up and head south. I have never really worried per se. My ex1 that I started skydiving with, used to get so freaked out when I left the plane that it would mess her concentration and make her perform at less than her capability on her jumps so we asked manifest in those early days not to put us on the same loads. With my ex2 (also a jumper)she was good with me jumping and I with her for the most part. I know she isn't as confident under canopy as I'd like her to be so I tend to watch her when I can. And I have a sort of "load time sense" and if she isn't back in the loft by the time I think the load should be down and back I will go and take a look. but other than that no worries. Or all the way from keeping you from getting hurt. I did a Dw landing on my birthday a few weeks ago and it was the softest DW I had ever done (Yes I have done a few, once by accident, and a few on purpose (stood most of those up)), not a scratch, ache or pain. I was most impressed with myself. AGe S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

I spend all day at home looking for jobs online that aren't there. There are some nights that I am so bored from having done nothing in the daytime that I can't sleep. So I consider myself pretty bored. I hope I never get as bored with life as the pepes you mentioned. Though I think that I would probably go for a skydive and clear my head before making shit up. some peoples children I tell you. Hey! Now why did you have to go there... I was just getting used to the idea of liking you people too. Now me and the boys are gonna have to go out and lynch another one in retaliation for your comments. (For those who have a thin skin... Welcome to the Elite club of unemployed skydivers who don't pay bills in an effort to quell the addiction by jumping as much as humanly possible with fixed or little income. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

Hello! I will say a few things regarding landings. First off you have identified a very important component in landing safely and how you want to: looking out in front of you. Without doing that as you have said yourself the Depth perception will not be there and you will be unable to determine the appropriate hieght to beging your flare. Do not dispair as many newer jumpers that move off of student gear have anxieties about jumping in light and no wind days. I have counseled a few on my DZ about this. The issue is that in low wind days you are coming in way faster that you are used to and the tendancy is to want to somehow slow the canopy down and land at a speed that you are more accustomed to. My advice is to let the canopy fly! Speed translates into lift. Slowing it down prematurely could result in a less soft landing. Fly strait in with your hands all the way up, keeping your eyes looking forward and at the appropriate altitude initiate the flare. The second part of my advice is to pay attention to how you flare. Many who have come off of student status are used to jumping docile canopies that you can just flare and they will deposit you safely on the ground. with Higher performance canopies it becomes important to do a dynamic flare. What I mean by this is that you initiate the flare and "fly" in the flair carefully adjusting and applying until the canopy has finished flying. With a canopy like your sabre2 flares work better if you do this. Age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

Yes, agreed, as it is very hard to make the public forget the new concepts you came up with for the first movie so you can dazzle them with them again in the second, or third, or fourth.... AGe S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.

Don't feel bad... I watched the movie twice knowing the trailer was there and forgot to watch it. I finally went into the theatre last night around 12:30 and sneeked into catch the end of the show so that I could see the trailer. It is only a teaser so don't be disappointed.... age S.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
