Did my static line training yesterday but conditions weren't right to jump I know it's part of the sport but it's so disappointing when you've built up to it all day. I was wondering, if I go on to do AFF how often do I have to jump to stay current and not have to re-train?

Hi guys, My name is Mike, I'm 23 and from Northumberland in England. My New Years Resolution is to jump out of an aeroplane. I've been meaning to try skydiving for a while, but don't know anybody involved in the sport and just never booked it. I've been in touch with Skydive Academy in Peterlee and the prices seem pretty reasonable so it's definitely happening in 2012. I'm inclining towards a static line for my first jump. I like the idea of my first jump to being on my own. I'm thinking about doing a charity skydive as my first jump as it would be good to raise some money for a good cause whilst having fun!
