Hi Keith, OK, what has Trump accomplished? Other than conning just about everyone he has ever come in contact with. Jerry Baumchen PS) I've constantly said that Harris would not be/was never my first choice. But, compared to Trump, she is a great choice.

Given that you know this is a stupid question you are being intentionally dishonest now. You're saying you can't possibly know anything good about any political candidate unless they have already successfully sponsored legislation or wielded executive power - and if they haven't they're just as bad as an insurrectionist, rapist and fraudster? Get a fucking grip, man.

despite all of the intriguing discussions, i am looking forward to be seeing in about 2 years all of those people who voted for him are standing in lines at walmart trying to get sale prices on bulk purchases of cat food. boomers find out their social security has been reduced and all those younger can just forget about it. when sufficient $5 million gold cards are purchased jobs will be limited to service positions so get your steel wool ready to be polishing.

What would you normally expect a 4 year senator who served in the minority, with the opposition party in the White House, to accomplish? Not advocate, actually accomplish? Get real, dude. Your complaint about her senatorial record is absurd, your claim that there is nothing else else you can judge in her entire career apart from her laugh is absurd. Your rank dishonesty and deflection fools no-one.

Republicans have been crying "wolf" about this since Reagan's time, but the ground has yet to materialize. “What's past is prologue"; Shakespeare (The Tempest)

Wikipedia has a fairly detailed but comrehensive explanation. Most of the debt is owed to Americans themseves by way of pension funds and other investments. And a lot is owed to other parts of the government, such as Social Security and Medicare. The top three foreign holders of US debt are Japan, China, and the UK.

Except for 1835 and 1836 the USA has had continuous federal debt since it borrowed from France to pay for the revolutionary war. The sky hasn't fallen.

I've heard the "but we need to pay the national debt" refrain so much now that I think it's a Russian narrative... Winsor was parroting it, now every russian bot I see online is parroting it. I don't have an economics background so I don't know exactly how the national debt works, especially with a country whose currency is considered a reserve currency like the USA. The UK only paid some war bonds from WW1 (yes, that's world war ONE, not two) in 2015, so when your side keeps saying "we're going to get fucked SOON" you really need to qualify when "soon" is.

It's so noticeable that no-one, no-one, who says that Harris is so bad has anything but the vaguest of platitudes to offer to explain why she is so bad.

And my point is that if you think a stupid laugh disqualifies a candidate, and a history of rape, fraud, felony crime and insurrection does not - we have bigger problems.

Trump supporters have a thing for rapists, felons and murderers lately. It's their bag, baby!

What evidence do you have that supports this claim?

Hillary Clinton has all of that. But she's poisoned. She was Secretary of State in wartime; she was a respected senator who did work with both sides of the aisle, etc. You're looking for a governor who's also a veteran (preferably wartime) in a state that's not just a lock for one party or the other. The Vietnam era vets are generally too old. A Pew Research study showed that only 14% of candidates for governor in 2022 were veterans (as compared with 16% of the Senate, and 21% of the House). That's way down from when nearly every politician was male and a WW2 or Korea vet. Serving has become more something that people who don't have tons of resources do more than rich people, and it takes money and connections to run for office. But Wes Moore (who I know you favored) is on that list; I'm not sure he wants it, and you have to REALLY want to be president. Wendy P. Wendy P.

I ran across this by accident just hoping there was an archive site. But it seems the same as before the shutdown. Word will get out, maybe slowly at first, but it will spread.
