Thing is it's not just that. While this is just wild pie in the sky nonsense, he is also very definitely in the process of stealing the entire apparatus of the federal government out from underneath you. Incredibly consequential things are actually happening.

From the Read This First post: It is important to realize that a personal attack is any attack (slurs, insults, denigrations, implications about their mothers, etc) or threat against another poster. Any such attack is not permitted here. This is true even if you are absolutely, 100% sure that the poster is stupid, or ignorant, or childish, or an ass. It doesn't matter if you think it is true or not, or even if you can prove they are an ass. You can't post such messages here. If you feel it is important to post such things, unmoderated forums like rec.skydiving do not have any such restrictions. Clever insults that attempt to get around the above (i.e. "I like rabbits" "anyone who likes rabbits and posts here is an idiot") will result in the same sort of bans/locks/thread deletions that a personal attack will. There was a note that appeared under the post after the edit both stating why it was edited and who edited it. That being said, the "edit instead of warn/ban" was an experiment intended to allow people to continue posting during the last days of the old DZ.com. That's not an issue here, so I'll go back to the old system.

Hi Bill, Welcome back; good to see you here, again. IMO Trump is just throwing food against the wall. He is all about headlines & attention. He seems to want to sign more Exec Orders every day just to stay in the news. I also think he is trying something [ anything? ] that could get him a Nobel Peace Prize. I do think that is his eventual goal. Jerry Baumchen PS) As I say, he is all about headlines not common sense: States scramble after Trump orders halt to EV charging network buildout ‘effective immediately’ - oregonlive.com I wonder how Musk feels now?

I think the Marsh Arabs in Iraq would disagree there. The ostensible rationale for the diversion of the Tigris and Euphrates under Saddam Hussein was flood control; who could object to THAT? In fact it was intended to remove the Marsh Arabs from the area. (Or "relocate" them, to use the terminology above.) But while I agree with Jakee that the goal is to eliminate the Arabs from the area, it won't happen - even though Trump (and Israel) will push for it. Trump doesn't have the organizational acumen to make it happen, nor does he have the willingness to do something unpopular (like get the US mired in a Middle Eastern war) to accomlish his goals. Trump will talk about this for a while, and when it doesn't happen, he will blame Biden and have another way to claim that everything HE did was perfect - and so the Democrats are to blame for war in the Middle East. Well, except the primary goal there was rebuilding - not removal of the Cajuns (for example.)

Here is a more clear story on what was said versus what was posted on Truth, which was a slight walk back. None of it really matters except to outrage people as The Dotard loves to do. None of it can or will happen. It is just more blathering shoot from the hip bullshit. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4g9xgj2429o

Good job Ryan,, You have slightly walked back the previous certainty claim of an Orchards jump.. smart move. Cooper jumped at 8:11, give or take few seconds. Something that has been overlooked even by most experts... Cooper asked for fronts and backs, that is a front reserve and back main.. He received a front dummy, front reserve and two back reserves.. not mains. So, he did not receive what he had requested or expected. I assume he did not know that he jumped with a back reserve, unlikely, they are designed to reliably open and get you to the ground... they are not steerable. Experts say easy jump no problem they would do it,, but would they do it with a back reserve??? You land where the drift takes you, in a wet PNW night.. Jumping in those conditions with a main is brave or stupid, jumping with a reserve is crazy.. A reserve is more reliable but not controllable. That raises the likelihood of Cooper landing under canopy but also raises the potential for a hard landing and injury. Point is, he effectively asked for a main but jumped with a back reserve.

From the article: Burchett implied in the wake of a classified briefing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), [don't mean shit] “When they tell me something’s moving at hundreds of miles an hour underwater, and our capabilities … and these things, this one was, it was large as a football field underwater. And this was a documented case, and … and I have an admiral telling me this stuff,” Burchett said Wednesday. The movie, "The Abyss" has been rerunning on streaming TV lately.

Morning, Nigel. When Elon bought Twitter and after a few weeks, I DM'd him and suggested he find a CEO for Twitter and go back to saving the world. As mentioned on here before, I "think" he's on the Howard Hughes path. IMO - he needs to butt out of politics, stick to what he does best and get out of the limelight.

I'll never forget chatting with you at Eloy one year, Bill. I was there judging a competition -- can't recall if it was Nationals or Collegiates. Met Mark at a civilian demo my teammates were jumping, then met Andrea with him at Fitz. They were kind enough to put me up for a night another time when I was taking the LSAT at Stetson. Super awesome people. Robert (TheOnlySki) hooked me up with VPNs before they were easily available commercially for my times living abroad. Big thanks to David (Kasch) coming out to Turkey with his spirit of adventure. We did some great scuba diving and I gained some great ideas for where to take my family when they eventually came out as well. If not for COVID, I believe Kasch would have found a way also to explore Papua New Guinea during my last post. Though no longer jumping, I am still judging (and much more available for that since I retired from the Marine Corps), so competitors should keep an eye on the CF judge lists internationally, and both CF and FS/VFS (indoor and outdoor) judge lists within the US. I would love to continue connecting. Also, I plan to get my account going on Bluesky within the month. My profile name likely will be different, but I still connect my actual name to my accounts. Thanks everyone for the political (domestic and international) discourse and for giving me a way to stay even more connected to skydiving when I had to stop. Tanya Murnock
