5 pointsHard to believe I’ve been coming here to Speaker’s Corner for 20 years for my daily dose of enlightenment and aggravation. It’s really been the best place to hear a diversity of opinions from real people, a diversity I can’t encounter at work or the drop zone where it would be inappropriate to talk about so many of the topics we can kick around here. I’ve learned something from all of you, and I’ll really miss getting perspective from you even if sometimes it makes me gnash my teeth. So I’d like to wish all of you fair winds and following seas. 2 pointsAnd now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all, and I stood tall And did it my way I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh, no, oh, no, not me I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows And did it my way

2 pointsNope. I'm just pointing out (again) that you've made numerous claims that turn out to be complete bullshit. And when challenged on them, you either run away from them or just keep on bullshitting.

1 pointI am just a poor boy Though my story's seldom told I have squandered my resistance For a pocket full of mumbles Such are promises All lies and jests Still a man hears what he wants to hear And disregards the rest Courtesy of Simon and Garfunkel Wendy P.

1 pointBetter things to do with my time than listen to garbage about mythical creatures. Harry Potter is more realistic.

1 pointNope, it's Obummer's fault all the way. Apparently the worst president in history, according to my reliable MAGA sources. Top men, y'know Wendy P.

1 pointCunningham’s flight path highlights how the group on Facebook does not question each other, and therefore someone makes a statement and then everyone agrees because they don’t want to lose their coalition. Vordhal got a pass, the tie, the flight path, Skip Hall. Many more. The social relationships and protecting those relationships have become more important than doing research and asking questions. Luckily it is confined to the Facebook groups. But if you question certain members of the group, be prepared to have your theories attacked by all of them. Oh, and the PhD students used the bad data and info from that flight path. Not their fault. But elevating him to the expert on the flight path was a bad move.

1 pointFor the same reason it's not premeditated murder to repeatedly deny a beggar money he needs to survive. It is no doubt a shitty thing to do, of course.

1 pointHaving run a business while I had a wife and kids at home, that is a good reason NOT TO work from home :) Seriously, a partner and kids don’t tend to ‘get’ that you’re working and will ask for odd jobs and interruptions. We ended up renting office space about a mile from home to fix that problem (and I got to see the wife and kids at lunch).

1 pointI suspect that a lot of Trump's swing voters will be having some serious remorse when they come to realize what they've done. Not all of them, of course, because a good fraction are too ill-informed/stupid to figure it out.

1 pointSo you’re looking to turn this thread into a religious one? I’ll pass. It’s been argued to death before. You go ahead and believe what you believe and I’ll do the same. Like I said before, I’m not trying to convince you of anything anymore.

1 pointYesterday (Saturday) Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist, said of Elon Musk in a post on the social network Gettr, “He's a toddler in need of a wellness check from Child Protective Services." And Musk called Laura Loomer and her allies "contemptible fools". Looney Laura then attacked Musk for silencing her and she called Musk “a total f****ing drag on the Trump transition. He’s a stage 5 clinger who over stayed his welcome at Mar a Lago in an effort to become Trump’s side piece." Sure looks like the inmates are going to be in charge of the asylum come January 20.

1 pointMatches were ubiquitous back then.. you could pick them up anywhere, having 1 book wouldn't be a factor. 302's are written from agents notes so they aren't precise. and.. Tina getting them from a cabinet isn't a typical error, it was either completely made up or true. I do lean slightly toward true but wouldn't bet on it.. if it wasn't true then Tosaw was outright lying, I can see an error or misunderstanding but not an outright lie.. there was nothing to gain by it.

1 pointA couple of thoughts: Why isn't crafting an algorithm to deliberately, and repeatedly, deny someone life saving medication or treatment considered to be premeditated murder? Why are there more people employed by the Health Insurance industry, to deny people's claims, than there are doctors practicing in the US? (1.5 million v 1 million)

1 pointHi Keith, Quite a few yrs ago, when the Olympics were held in the US, they had a map for carrying the torch thru all 50 states. Just don't ask me when or how to find the map. I don't think it went thru any state twice. You might be able to find the map. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointData analysis is not your thing either, nor is critical thinking. You ignore all the data that disagrees with your need to have killer toys; when challenged you only come up with a single suggestion, and that's one that's been proven not to work. You ignore all suggestions that are known to work from comparitive analysis between nations and from comparison between states in the USA. You are a hypocrite and a troll and not worth further engagement.

1 pointI use the expression "Fucking white people" when in public as I see white people being either racist or celebrating their white privilege in a minority's face. It tends to get a shocked response from the fucking white people, and a deep laugh from those being oppressed by the fucking white people. Growing up in poor neighborhoods with a fair amount of police activity sure showed a LOT of racism and white privilege. Systemic racism in America continues to keep minorities trapped "where they should be" - according to white wingers.

1 pointWhat surprises me is that there hasn’t been much coverage of how Trump’s hotel was taken by the courts due to tax fraud. The timing of Trump’s statements seems to be more about personal grievances at being held accountable than any altruistic concern for Americans

1 pointYeah, just 31 days and he will have the power to send in the marines. in other news "The Danish government has announced a huge boost in defence spending for Greenland, hours after US President-elect Donald Trump repeated his desire to purchase the Arctic territory. Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said the package was a "double digit billion amount" in krone, or at least $1.5bn" American hegemony becomes dominant again.

1 pointhttps://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-panama-canal-threats-hotel-taxes-court-filing-2005079 I hadn’t realised the real reason Trump has escalated with Panama is that they have seized his property for tax fraud. Seems he doesn’t like an independent judiciary and the rule of law.

1 pointAsk me how I knew you were talking about the 15 minute city conspiracy theory, not the actual 15 minute city planning concept? Ah you don't need to ask - because it's you. It's always going to be the stupidest possible option with you.

1 pointBlah blah whatever. Not that his appointment had anything to do with his legislative priorities beyond 'give Trump what he wants' - how hard would you have to look to find someone who supported those things who wasn't a drug addled child abuser?

1 point"Marry in haste, repent at leisure" There needs to be a version about voting. I suspect there will be a lot of repenting going on.

1 pointRight until it comes to defending the Electoral College, then the right vigorously maintains that forests, mountains and deserts count for just as much as people do.
