So looks like the site will be gone for good at the end of December - so we have one last hurrah. Personally I want to thank Andrea and Wendy for helping to moderate this forum. It's always been an odd little appendix on a really useful website, and I've made friends here, had a few thought provoking arguments, and had a lot of fun watching other arguments progress (or, in many cases, devolve.) Thanks everyone.

Its going to be a shame to see the site go. It was fun while it was here and I had a great time meeting a lot of you!

Absolutely not - but when you’re arguing that people who turn up to white supremacist events, march alongside KKK members and swastika carriers and are passionate about defending the relics of slavery are very fine people, you’re basically trolling yourself.

Again, hilarious! I think that people who turned up to a white supremacist rally dedicated to celebrating slavery are vanishingly unlikely to be very fine people. That’s a very straightforward opinion. You want to split hairs and get into the granular detail of just maybe some people didn’t know it was white supremacist, maybe didn’t know the statues were of slavery defenders, maybe didn’t see the Klan members and Swastikas they were marching next to and so if you make all of those hair-splitting assumptions then Trump was actually right to say what he did! Bullshit. You know the truth, your ideology just won’t let you admit it. That surprises exactly no-one. You seem incredibly determined to defend him doing the exact thing you just said you don’t respect. At this rate I guess if he had actually said ‘yes I do mean the white power guys are very fine people!’ you’d have a poster of him on your wall and a shrine on the mantelpiece.

Ah yes. Clinton lies about having consensual sex with an intern - "He must be IMPEACHED! He does not deserve to be president! He's a DISGRACE! How can the left be so criminal?" Trump rapes a women and is convicted of 34 felonies - "well, there are bad actors on both sides. No biggie."

Just maybe if Germany had split Poland with Russia and stayed out of England for 4-5 years they might have been able to use the resources of continental Europe, added to their technological prowess, to create a truly impenetrable Fortress Europe. Then with overwhelming power they'd have been positioned to take the rest bit by bit starting with Scandinavia and negotiating the complete surrender of England. Seems to me they lost owing to greed and impatience more than anything else. So will Trump.

I disagree. Just follow the Goebbels play book, be a narcissistic sociopath, garner the support of the richest citizens whose sole desire is to get richer, and trust in your fellow men to turn on each other on the basest of pretexts. Bada Bing.

Trump's house wasn't raided because he took classified documents home. He was given chance after chance after chance to give them back and walk away scott free with no repercussions and no publicity. Trump's house wasn't raided because he lied to the National Archives and kept classified documents he knew it was illegal for him to have. Trump's house wasn't even raided the first time he instructed his lawyers to lie to the FBI about how many classified documents he still had. Trump's house was raided when after over a year of trying to get him to do the right thing, the FBI became convinced he would never return those documents. Instead he was shipping them around the country, deleting CCTV footage, creating false affidavits, all to facilitate his continued theft of property that belongs to the country. The only thing biased or unfair about the situation is the staggering level of deference and preferential treatment he received from start to finish.

Say it a third time and it will still not be true. The Bozo supply in American politics is barely tapped, seems to me.
