Hi folks, Add one more dumb attorney to the list: Ex-Donald Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro's law license suspended in New York Jerry Baumchen

Is there a list of all the things Trump can’t do now he’s a felon? Like, he wouldn’t be allowed to get a job collecting the garbage at a school but he can be in charge of the department of education. He couldn't get a job as a janitor in a court house but he can be in charge of both the DoJ and the appointment of federal judges. And I bet 90% of his supporters would kick and scream against any attempt to allow other felons to find gainful employment after serving their time.

Human interactions aren't math problems and a permanent ignored users list is a lot more MAGA than Woke, seems to me.

Yes, we all know how important it is for you to avoid seeing anything that might make you think.

The "Ignored Users" list is very handy to avoid becoming troll-fodder. Works for me.

https://youtu.be/SZ2L-R8NgrA?si=5SuLqoTAZMxhaIsj How is this video 5 years old? They somehow managed to cast JD Vance perfectly

Yep. I saw that this morning. It was fun while it lasted, and I really wish it were as vibrant as it once was. To me it was a much more democratic (in the sense of participation) format than FB, Reddit, or whatever else is out there. There’s an awful lot of good information here Wendy P.

Hey everyone, I wanted to give you a heads-up that I'll be putting Dropzone.com on the market. It has been a great 27 years, but for the last few years this has simply not been my focus, and the site is showing that neglect. It's time for someone else to pick up the ball and run with it, or take the domain in whatever direction they decide. There are still costs associated every month with keeping Dropzone.com up, that has become hard to justify. If you have PMs that you'd like to keep, now would be a good time to copy those as there is no telling what the next owner might do to keeping it up or not. If you're interested in buying the site or domain (serious buyers only) feel to get in touch PMs.

Seen on FB - 'If you were going to choose a metaphor for the Republican party in 2024, a garbage truck chauffeuring a rich guy, traveling around in circles going nowhere, all for a photo op is pretty spot on.'

Well, being a UK publication, they have no worry about the Babbling Idiot taking revenge. But expect Babbling Idiot to start bleating about "foreign election interference" in 3...2...1.

Hi Bill, Re: Then you still see what ridiculous things they say and can therefore 1) laugh at them and 2) understand what some people believe. At this point in life, the time I have left is a very important thing. I will not waste it on idiots who cannot have a constructive discourse. You might come around as you age. Jerry Baumchen

It does lead to a media bubble, similar to the one Facebook creates for you. I think ideally you don't use the ignore feature; you just don't respond to the trolls. Then you still see what ridiculous things they say and can therefore 1) laugh at them and 2) understand what some people believe. I mean, there are people who really, honestly believe the Earth is flat; if I hadn't engaged some of them I would have thought that was a joke. But some people find it very hard to ignore provocation, and for those people, ignoring users will generally be better than getting into angry arguments that lead to people getting upset and/or banned,

Scientific American: Why Election Polling Has Become Less Reliable Today technological changes—including caller ID, the rise of texting and the proliferation of spam messages—have led very few people to pick up the phone or answer unprompted text messages. Even the well-respected New York Times/Siena College poll gets around a 1 percent response rate, Bailey points out. In many ways, people who respond to polls are the odd ones out, and this self-selection can significantly bias the results in unknowable but profound ways. “The game’s over. Once you have a 1 percent response rate, you don’t have a random sample,” Bailey says. The article goes on to explain how the pollsters are using mathematical weighting based on voters characteristics to attempt to adjust the results. Frankly, if I were a pollster, I would be searching for a new career.

There's only one rapist and convicted criminal running for high office, and he's not an immigrant.
  18. 1 point
Did it cast Vance perfectly or the kkkristian right? Immigrants looking for safety and a better life are all rapists, gang members and criminals. The latest from the GOP, trump says that he will protect women whether they like it or not.. But lets face it be it pussy grabbing or rape its what he does already "whether the women like it or not," Next Tuesday Americans need to stock up on bourbon, weed, or whatever will give them relief.

I feel strongly that whoever owned the tie left behind on the plane was a metallurgist and had some prior parachuting activity. I'm casting a wide net but here's some base level info on a group of men that pass (mostly) intial requirements; metallurgist, army airborne, appropriate age, appropriate height, appropriate complexion. I'm mostly just passing this along for anyone bored with their regular Cooper programing and wants to vet these further. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1X4rGQ10M_Dbo22u1zkQairDOk-YvMiyu?usp=sharing

What happened to the portion of the money that went to Royal Globe/Indemnity insurance post money find? It’s been a Vortex sub mystery for years but we may finally have an answer! I just spoke to the son of a Royal Globe/Indemnity employee who inherited this Cooper bill that was gifted to his now deceased father by the company. It appears in true vortex fashion that they gave them away to employees as gifts and there should be more examples out there.

While I am not yet a skydiver, my father Ken Coleman most definitely was. My memories as a child are of drop zones, skydivers, formations and lots of parachutes. Names and faces of Mike Michigan, Dick Byrd, Fred Sands, Rocky Evans and numerous others are a huge part of those memories. Now, I am trying to find out more about my father and his skydiving history, beyond the obvious like AFF. I am looking for people I knew back then and information to help piece together my dad's skydiving history. As I am going through all his things there signed photos from the Beech Nuts and Rainbow Flyers, numerous medals, AFF training videos and all of his dive logs that I am entering electronically to track dad's history. If you can help me piece more information into the puzzle, please write back.
