American politics is different to the rest of the world in so many ways that it's hard (if not impossible) to understand the workings from an outside point of view. that said: it would be unthinkable for any major european newsoutlet to give a direct recommendation on who to vote for in any sort of election. I'd guess your solution is the wholesale confiscation of any type of firearm that has ever been used in a family massacre.
