3 pointsTrump to liberals: "That wasn't my message AT ALL!" Trump to conservatives: "Yeah you heard me right."
-
3 pointsHeadlines today, “GOP concerned that fallout from Madison Square Garden rally will just distract from Trump’s message” I am pretty sure that the racist tripe that was spouted at Madison Square Garden is in fact… Trump‘s message.
-
3 pointsHe represents the angry resentful white man portion of the maga crowd. Trump's base is distressingly varied. Almost like a grab bag of deplorables.

2 pointsCompletely agree. President Biden has been too risk adverse. Right now NATO allies have supplied arms without restrictions on where they are used. So Putin could use his red line right now. Putin could attack the NATO allies who have delivered unrestricted use weapons to Ukraine and the US would be dragged to war anyway. Netherlands Says Ukraine Can Use Its F-16s To Strike Russian Territory Ukrainians are designing and building more and longer range drones. It needs ones that can sink Russian ships in Vladivostok (3700 NM). Turn off power, gas, oil and phone service all over Russia. Ukrainian farmers need to be building drones in their workshops in the winter when they are not farming.

2 pointsHi tk, As I posted in Post #9: Just wait until rush & the rest of the MAGA crowd starts to lose those 'rights' that effect them. Jerry Baumchen

2 pointsHi folks, As most of you know, I am a very strong supporter of a woman's right to abortion. I also donate to NARAL every year. Since the Dobbs decision, slowly but surely, we are winning back the right to an abortion. Slowly, state by state. However, I do not think that is enough. IMO every free thinking woman in this country should get involved; here is one opportunity: Defend Democracy - Emerge Jerry Baumchen

2 pointsyou should indeed stop supporting rapist felons who steal from children's charities.
-
2 pointsyeah, like what kind of moron would think women have the right to control their own body and not be subjected to forced labour. Women can't have REAL rights. Guns, guns have real rights.

1 pointHi Tanya, During the height of the Watergate Scandal, Nixon said that he did not know what was going on. Someone, I don't remember who, said that was like the piano player in the bordello saying, 'I don't know what they do up there.' Jerry Baumchen

1 pointI care not what Trump's message is. He is a criminal, a liar, a thief, a sexual predator and a narcissistic braggart. Each of which is disqualifying, IMO.
-
1 pointInteresting. But to my ear what’s missing are thoughtfulness and rationality in their reasons.
-
1 pointI’m always interested in hearing viewpoints though. I have one friend who is pro trump and some reasonably sane explanations for a few things. But so far he’s the only person who seems to have a semi coherent argument. There’s nothing we agree on though
-
1 pointJoe is correct. He could have added more. The Mirage Fighters are just that as have been the F-16's. We need to untether our long range missiles from limited use. Also, we need to hope the clever Ukrainians have reversed engineered western cruise missiles and are close to deployment. I think the Ukrainians should reduce to rubble, as the Russians love to do, St.Basil's Cathedral and show the nuclear threat was empty.
-
1 pointLots of info is coming out. You just have to look for it. The Russians are doing what they've always done best during a war. Dying. They're making small, slow gains in Donbas, trying to take a logistics hub. At huge costs. They've lost thousands and thousands of troops in the past month or so. They still use the classic Russian tactic of "send men in, when they get killed you can see where the Ukrainians are firing from" Russia has reportedly started bringing in soldiers from North Korea. Because they're running out of Russians to send to their deaths. They're doing very little to take back the territory in Kursk that the Ukrainians seized. The Ukrainians are getting better at stopping the missile/drone attacks by Russia on their infrastructure. They're also getting better at sending drones into Russia to take out supply depots, oil refinery/storage and key manufacturing.

1 pointNothing about 'following your princess'. Trump stole millions of dollars from his charity, he got caught, he pled guilty to 19 separate counts of theft from the charity, he paid millions of dollars in fines and the Trump Foundation was permanently shut down This is actually a thing that actually happened in exactly the way I described it. Not an illusion. Nor an opinion, an actual case that was settled while he was in office in 2018 I am sure you think it was just an 'accounting error', so that would be you 'just following your fascist criminal overlord' You can actually look it up. It happened. Trump stood on a podium and promised the money to veterans and children and then he stole it. Justify your support for the guy that stole millions of dollars from his own charity. And try not to bring up the Clinton foundation or her emails or the Biden crime family. Justify your support for that guy now that you know for a fact this actually happened. I will even make it easy for you: DocumentDisplayServlet

1 pointNo that is NOT what happened here. There was no 'mistake' when women were granted the right to privacy over their own bodies. The mistake was reversing it, which was done by a judiciary hand selected for hat specific task, i.e a political movement and a political decision. If that is a 'mistake' then the government can come to get your fucking kidney. Any time they want. Either you believe in personal rights, bodily autonomy, whatever you want to call it, or you believe in government telling you what you can or cannot do with your body There was no mistake when women were given EXACTLY the same rights that you demand for yourself. So tell, me.... can the government pass a law to take your kidney for someone who needs it to live and would you support such a law?
-
1 pointIt is no surprise to me that that leaders of a right wing religion that suppresses women among other right wing beliefs would support a right wing candidate.

1 pointHi Nigel, I have reached the point where I feel the MAGA's simply do not care about Trump's poor record as President. They do not care if he is a rapist, etc. They only want him to win. Here is one example: Tariffs hurt his business. He's voting for Trump anyway IMO it is a waste of time to try to engage them in a rational discussion. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointThe economy lost 2.7 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased by 1.7 percentage points to 6.4%. The international trade deficit Trump promised to reduce went up. The U.S. trade deficit in goods and services in 2020 was the highest since 2008 and increased 36.3% from 2016. Illegal immigration increased. Coal production declined 26.5%, and coal-mining jobs dropped by 25%. It's a hell of a record.

1 pointHi folks, “In Honor of a Lifetime of Sexual Assault.” Pop-up Trump statue makes political point in Portland Jerry Baumchen
-
1 pointThe same goes for the people on the right. Something that's been a right for the last 50 years was removed a couple of years ago, and all of the right-leaning justices said that they considered Roe V. Wade to be "settled law." What are your thoughts about that? Wendy P.
-
1 pointHi Bill, Re: Rush thinks like most Trump supporters - you only have those rights that the government gives you, that they create "out of thin air." Just wait until rush & the rest of the MAGA crowd starts to lose those 'rights' that effect them. As I often post: It is all good until it is your ox that is getting gored. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointHot enough to melt the surface of nylon risers. If you jump partially-melted risers long enough, they will eventually fail. Statistically they are most likely to fail during opening shock. In the worst case scenario, they fail during your last turn onto final approach. No need to take a well-understood risk. Budget the money to replace tandem risers every 300 to 600 jumps.

1 pointBravo, Sir! What a wonderfully stated and smart bit of advice. AirbornePOG, this is the word.

1 pointPeople who state Harris can’t articulate anything seem to have prejudice/misogyny, comprehension problems or the inability to speak English. As for Joe 2.0, he’s done a pretty good job, peacefully handed over the reigns to a younger candidate. I’d say he’s a pretty good act to follow.

1 pointConservatives: "The Bidens are a CRIME FAMILY! Hunter's on CRACK! His father is a PEDOPHILE! Burisma! Laptop! Laptop laptop laptop! How can you possibly put a corrupt criminal in the White House? Democrats are insane if they are OK with a criminal in the White House." Also conservatives: "Sure, Trump may be a criminal or a rapist or something. Can't be bothered to follow all that news. So what? All that matters is that he does his job. Only insane libs care about his so-called crimes."

1 pointOver 31,000 well documented LIES from Trump during his presidency. Tell us how Trump kept his word about having a plan to replace Obamacare. Tell us how Trump kept his word about releasing his tax returns. Tell us how Trump kept his word about Mexico paying for his wall. He said he wouldn’t have time to play golf if elected president. But he made more than 250 visits to his golf clubs — a record for any president. He promised to be “the voice” of American workers. He wasn’t. His administration stripped workers of their rights, repealed overtime protections, rolled back workplace safety rules, and turned a blind eye to employers who steal their workers’ wages. He promised that the average American family would see a $4,000 pay raise because of his tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Trickle down didn't happen. He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs and said drug companies are “getting away with murder.” He didn't do it. He promised to revive the coal industry and bring back lost coal mining jobs. The coal industry lost jobs. He promised to lock up Hillary Clinton for using a private email server. He didn’t. Instead, Trump used his personal cellphone for official business, and several members of his own administration, including Jared Kushner and Ivanka, used private email in the White House. He promised “six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” He didn’t. He promised to bring an end to Kim Jong Un’s nuclear program. Kim expanded North Korea’s nuclear program. He said he would distance himself from his businesses while in office. He didn't. He promised that tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations would spur economic growth and pay for themselves. His tax cuts added $2 trillion to the federal deficit. The list of broken Trump promises goes on and on. And fools continue to believe him

1 pointShe was investigated in and out the wazoo, by two congressional committees that were bound and determined to find something indictable. They were unable to. That should say something. Wendy P.
