4 pointsYeah I thought that was uncalled for too. But it happened after you started slinging shit at everyone else and dodging any kind of discussion of the point you supposedly came here to make. But it makes sense - every now and then you get to the point where you realise your faith and your politics are completely incompatible, so you come here and start a different fight to distract yourself until it goes away again.

1 pointBravo Sir, I admire your insight of Joe's empathy, also I'd like to highlight Jakee's knowledge of courage. In Exrocating herself from "the mass mind". I really enjoyed reading this thread too. Phill... Likewise, Bravo Sir! We may disagree on a lot,but this is a real mo=ment. I'll buy you the preverbal,BEER! It's definitely the one thing we got. Right in your wheelhouse I assume; jabs and counters without any low blows, or ear biting. LOL I was mistaken in thinking there is no Mr.Hyde in you, damn I was wrong! You tore it apart, and you peaked my curiosity. Spending the last couple of days watching and reading your sources.Thanks. My opinion is "The Pager" operation was a masterpiece in all aspects of the operation. Successful, tactical, targeted and ethical. As for the innocent, I agree with Ken's assessment that everything was done to avoid innocent casualty. The PSYOP value was also noteworthy, a notice within their communities, who and what ideas you should distance yourself from. I think the empathetic take is highly sus. But a real (RIP) Tom Clancy moment for sure. An Interesting question arises for the detractors of Israel's pager actions. Use some imagination some fiction and come up with a lethal, yet more ethical operation? Tom could take some notes.lol Peace

1 pointNot really, as far as I saw. He made his 'preponderance of evidence that God exists' comment and I called him out on it. Asked him to show that evidence. First, he tried to change the subject, asking if I was concerned about the 'state of my soul'. But no evidence. Then he just ignored the question. Then he made the claim that 'I wouldn't accept the evidence he had', without providing anything for me to accept or reject. So to say he was 'open to 2 way discussion' is not true, at least in the case of evidence that god exists. The funniest part about this is that even when I DID believe in God, I fully accepted the concept that there's ZERO evidence for his existence. That's what 'faith' means. Belief without evidence. I don't think Jay ever understood that part of my questioning him on his 'evidence' (that was never provided). Because he was never willing or able to admit that he might have been wrong (on ANYTHING, not just my questions).

1 pointApparently there are so-called "Christians" who never got around to reading the Sermon on the Mount. One of them is posting here. I would expect to be banned had I posted some of the things he's posted over the past few days.

1 pointI remember when that happened ... it was in 1993 I think. Everyone ran out and bought a Cypress the next year ... 'cause if it happened to Tom it can happen to any of us. By 1999 just me and the pilot were left without an AAD. Another Tom Piras rumor was that when they got his car from the DZ later, the Doors cassette was in the stereo, and when the car started it played "The end".

1 pointWe’re done here. Stop slinging shit. And just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean prior action wasn’t taken Wendy P.

1 pointSorry, it’s not extreme to want all of us to live our lives free from the terror of religious persecution. You are free to live your life as you choose just please stop imposing your religious doctrines on others. We really don’t need the help.

1 pointThanks for asking. No problems here either with Helene or Milton. Helen went by to the east and we just had rain. Milton hit all our friends and family in central FL. No injury or damage to them, just loss of power. PTL! Me, I have completed my fourth of six chemo treatments for metastatic prostate cancer. So far it is working. I give to glory to God. I am very concerned about the status of America. A dark sense of forboding overwhelms me at times but I know it is all part of God's mosaic and plan for the end times. As many veterans are saying, "I was willing to give my life for my country. Now I am not so sure I can live for it."

1 pointto his base? It makes zero difference. They have been making excuses for shitty & criminal behavior since 'grab em by the pussy'. If Donald Trump raped their children in front of them, they would find a way to justify it.

1 pointHi Joe, IMO there is a simple end to it: The belligerent Arab states only have to recognize Israel's right to be a legal state in the region; and, then come to a peace agreement with them. Egypt & Jordan did and the world did not come to an end. How many missiles, that land at random, do you think Israel should accept per month without doing anything in retaliation? Jerry Baumchen PS) All of the allies in WW II would only accept unconditional surrender of Germany & Japan. How's that for a line?

1 pointWell the blame really belongs to the British they came up with the idea of a Jewish state. Then sold the whole idea to the UN. Arab states all rejected it and they wanted to appeal to to the International Court of Justice. But they needed UN approval to do so and that was rejected by the UN. Britain was the administrators of Palestine. So the UK(now) and the UN came up with a suggested map: Which was again rejected by the Arab states. I don't think there was ever a finalized map but i could be wrong. When Israel declared independence Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria all attacked Israel. Israel kicked their collective asses and the rest is history. So the blame really belongs to the UK and the UN. for the whole mess.If it can be called blame as such.

1 pointThere is no nice, humane way to kill or injure the enemy in war. Although the US is a leader in developing weapons designed to prevent collateral damage.

1 pointWhat concerns me more is that these numbers mean there were 2100 times when people failed to save themselves by pulling the ripcord. So if these people had gone in does that mean that the reserve "failed" because it didn't open itself? I turn my AAD on in the morning and forget that I have one. Let's not get so involed with our skydive that we forget the number one thing that let's us keep jumping. Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be.
