In addition, they claimed that they’d had approval to break protocol which has been categorically contradicted by the Army, and said they had video to back up their story which they will obviously now refuse to release. It could not be a worse fight for a struggling Republican candidate to pick, and the media need to stay on it like terriers on rats.

1 pointI'd agree to the point that bean counters shouldn't be in charge; but neither should engineers when costs have to be considered. The bean counters have to bound the technical solution (which may not exist within the bounds), while the engineers have to understand the reasons for those boundaries. Otherwise you end up with runaway changes and costs (been there, seen it, been part of it -- and not on the bean side...) Wendy P.
