you keep using the word 'disastrous' without providing anything to support such strong language. fer fuck's sake, GWB took us into two wars based on fucking lies, killed a million civilians and thousands of americans in those wars, which went on for 20+ years and cost us well over $10T. you survived that and you and the country are still here, functioning. I am pretty sure that your morning this morning was the same pretty much as every morning you have had in the past 3 decades. cry wolf..... if our choices today are 'disastrous', then I expect and ask for some examples that are at least on par with the war crimes of GWB.....

I forget, but weren't you the one complaining about something being vague and just to be specific and state it? So, which country are you drawing a parallel to? What specific stage of that country's history do you believe is equivalent to where the US is now and why?

Except it doesn't. One side: rape felony ban travel for pregnant women other side: none of the above

All the media is covering both nominees now. The only real difference is one of them is difficult for his supporters to find anything positive to say about him. The Kamala critics corner thread is full of very watery weak sauce. I’m starting to detect some thread drift again. Let’s keep on cheering for team K and The Coach. Let’s not get distracted from the mission by answering trolls.

word salad..... you are saying nothing specific while still using 'disastrous' as your baseline, but you cannot point to any specific data, or scenario that could come to pass.... In the meantime, I am going fishing, I might even open a bottle of wine. In other words, nothing disastrous, just a normal day.... like I expect yours is.

I suspect you’ve misunderstood me. It appears that in the US rich and powerful people are given special dispensation and the poor get treated badly. How is it justice when the Trumps and Bannons of this world can happily stay free during appeals etc and yet if you’re the wrong demographic you get locked up pending trial? My belief is that justice should be blind - obviously that’s idealistic and can never be - hundred percent true. I suspect that if it was you or I with 34 felonies and multiple other pending criminal trials we would be incarcerated already.

The only area where I agree with Trump is that the US justice system is dysfunctional and corrupt. Where I differ from him is that he is being given the royal treatment rather than being victimised. This has dragged on for far too long and the American public have been denied justice. Trump has a known history of delay tactics, this should have been countered from day 1 by denying him bail and placing him under some form of confinement.

Harris did well, Dana Bash was horrible, per usual, and just hoping to make a controversy where none exists. No fears here about her debate with Trump.

Appreciate the post. I agree with you that the US is at a bit of a tipping point and I agree that a wide and deep divide between teh "haves" and "have nots" can create violent and long term consequences. Where you and I appear to disagree is that all hope is lost and it doesn't matter which party you vote for. The Republicans have a very long history of taking from the middle class and basically "giving" it to the wealthy. The "trickle down economics" introduced by Reagan are solid evidence of that. Under Republicans the middle class, specially the lower middle class, does worse and the already wealthy get significantly wealthier. Under the last Republican candidate the only significant piece of legislation passed did the exact same again, expanded the debt burden disproportionately carried by the "have nots" and lined the pockets of the "haves". Under that candidate the divide grew again. There is nothing to suggest it would be any different if re-elected. Quite frankly it is very clear that under his presidency that divide will grow significantly. The Democrats have a long history of trying to take from the "haves" and provide to the "have nots". They are the only party looking to decrease the divide and try and build a bit more of a harmonious society, which would significantly lower the risk you highlight in your post. Now some or maybe even all of their policies may not be successful or maybe even palatable, but they are trying. Hence, I vehemently disagree that a vote for either party is the same, or that the US is doomed regardless of the outcome of this election. History suggest that under R the risks will grow and could come to fruition and that under D the risks could decrease and might not come to fruition. I don't see how one would vote for anything other than Democrat once you have identified the risks you have. I will stay away from the policies around the control and submission of women espoused by Republicans, however that alone really should be a disqualifier AND a clear indication both sides are NOT the same.

A man living in California is unemployed so he goes down to the local Job Center. He sees an ad for a Gynecologist's Assistant. He asks the clerk for details about the job. The clerk pulls the file and says, "The job entails getting the women ready for the gynecological consult. You have to help them out of their underwear, lay them down, and carefully wash their private regions, then apply shaving foam and gently shave off the hair, then rub in soothing oils so that they're ready for the examination. There's an annual salary of $75,000 but you're going to have to go to Chicago." The man said, "Oh. That's where the job is?" The clerk said, "No. That's where the end of the line is right now."

That’s a good point. All that stuff Truman was saying about Trump in the last election was very hypocritical.

Those are two things that have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Still more delying tactics from the adulterer-in-chief. https://apnews.com/article/trump-hush-money-trial-new-york-conviction-sentencing-8389e21c214b79220e6530a395a61192 I'd love to see him end up in prison.

sometimes, in a country of laws, the laws actually works and wins. Largely why Trump is a convicted felon, a rapist, a fraudman, and a crook..... But the GOP is still upset about all the rampant crime around the country..... supposedly.

Steve used to let me go last occasionally out of the DAC-3 while we were jumping Costerson's ranch in Bakersfield. very occasionally.

One of his minions assaulted a worker who tried to stop them. The little Trumpkins also claimed the worker seemed to be suffering from a mental illness (really). The worker declined to press charges out of fear of retaliation from the MAGA Morons. The level of idiocy & disrespect are insane. The defense of it by the MAGA Morons is pretty awful too.

Hi all, I just want to downsize to have smoother opening and to have less weight on my shoulders when running to the plane. I don't plan to do wingsuit, swooping or BASE jumping, I'm only a student and these things look so much dangerous to me. My only dream would be to do a high altitude jump but it has nothing to do with the canopy and it's still very a distant dream. Anyway, I'm now jumping in the same DZ where I did my AFF until I'm not a student anymore as it was advised by my instructor (even though it's far from where I live meaning less jumps per months) and I work all these downsizing stuff closely with my instructor.

I tend to blame the media a bit. They love Trump cause it provides revenue. The circus comes to town and everybody profits. They continue to both sides to make sure it stays a horse race they can profit from. Trump should have been decimated a long time ago, but he just makes so much money for people.

Oh yeah, I'm liking that, a very good excuse to go last! I used to ask Steve Fielding "how come you get to go last all the time". his reply "It's my load" I am real close, I can get a smaller rig if I use the Pilot ZPX but I'd rather have the sabre 3, better lower end and it's only one size larger, I'll look for you at Perris.

It's not like you're 25, trying to be one of the cool kids with a tight rig getting ready for the next freefly or angle jump that ends with a swoop. You're an older jumper getting back into the sport you clearly still love, wanting to have some fun in your golden years. You'll look far more cool in the loading area with a big grin and a maybe slightly larger rig, than you would lurking around with a cast on your leg. I can think of a scenario where a larger rig may cause an issue, and that is if you decide to revive one of your old favorites and start a ten-man speed star team. A larger rig doesn't really fit into the tight line-up required. But hey, that's your ready excuse to insist that you have to go last! Ha!

Whatever she is, she's not: an adjudicated rapist a proven fraud disqualified from running a foundation in her own state a habitual liar a braggart about being a sexual predator a braggart about pretty much everything else disrespectful to veterans, "gold star" parents, and the disabled a convicted felon

As of today I don't think there is actually a Vigil that has gone 20 years as claimed. I agree as a rigger that I do find the m2 and Cypres are more user friendly in the smaller rigs but don't hesitate to pack any of the brands. After the Argus debacle with the pipe cutter I lean towards the Axe blade of the Cypres and the later model m2 multi. Cost wise the difference in ownership of all three should not be such an impost for anyone that spends the money on our sport I would have thought but ymmv - maybe cut back a beer or two a week and you are good to go.

Both are good, Cypress are a bit more expensive the cables are a little less protected than the vigil, but are the first modern aad and have sold the most units and had the most saves. Vigils are a bit more affordable requiring less services and are in service for 20 years early on they had few service bulletins, i believe the cost difference between the two is the cypress will cost an extra $50 a year. Vigils also take up a bit more space than the Cypress. I have owned both

Yes I'm old enough to remember that place. That picture is BS! Actually, two BS's - the Bomb Shelter and a Brick Shithouse! What's "Frisby launch"? Putting a spin on the formation so it stays flat in the high airspeed? Or trying to do the whole thing successfully so that Al wouldn't have to get involved in the aftermath? Ha!! - tacos and hobbits!
