TCJA: The House passed the bill on November 16, 2017, on a mostly-party line vote of 227–205. No Democrat voted for the bill, while 13 Republicans voted against it. This is Brent's understanding of bi-partisan. I guess Americans are good at pissing, but thinking doesn't appear to be high on the list

The Republican VP is now on record as supporting a ban on pregnant women travelling to states they may be able to get an abortion in. Now a few of the Republican voters here would fully support that, but for many more sane people, this will likely give some pause. This isn't some faraway potential, this is a VP Candidate saying this just a few years ago.

Here you are again blaming the inflation on Democrats. Many of us are not in the US but still experienced a LOT of inflation after 2020 - the supply chain disruptions due to COVID, the war in Ukraine, you keep ignoring those things for the Nth time. I guess par for the course, you look like you can't handle equations with more than one variable, you also seem to not be able to fit more than one country in your thinking too.

Agreed. Fortunately Harris is now an alternative to the "SPEND SPEND SPEND " policies of Trump.

Look around your country...If you think it is without assets, I guess you have been pissing too much.

Hiring: Three years and five months into Biden’s term, the U.S. economy has created 15.6 million jobs. That compares with job losses totaling 12.6 million for Trump. National debt: Biden has so far added $4.3 trillion to the national debt, while Trump approved twice as much during his full term in office ($8.4 trillion). New jobs = wealth and wealth = more spending. Bideneconomics is just another attempt by republicans to lay blame on someone else. trump outborrowed Biden two to one.

POST JUMP “trauma”. Stormvile NY 1972, my 1st year of jumping, it’s Sept & I’m off student status maybe 20 jumps or so & finally jumping out of the Big Plane, (Bobby Sweets, Lockheed Lodestar). I’m doing a solo w/ some other novices, we’re out 1st so the experienced jumpers can get their Big Star done. An older JM / pilot is spotting,(Woody).I’m at that stage where I still have questions about this sport & the new breed of people who jump out of planes. The jump is great,10,000’, high speed exits, wind blast etc. A beautiful Blue Sky, light winds and I’m lovin it! Everything going smooth, nice opening, my 28’ 7-TU is handling like a sports car. I realize making the DZ isn’t happening but I’m only about a mile or so away and landing off is part of the game. I can see the airport & the end of the runway, so I maintain my heading, facing the direction of the airport and PLF into brush & weeds. Still smiling and diggn’ the rush as I field pack my rig for the hike back. Things are going slow as I work my way through the brush & weeds but nothing is wrong. As I get closer to the airport the terrain changes to just high weeds & some mud, my sneakers are getting heavy & my pace has slowed. I have to pick my feet up a bit to clear the mud but I trip on something and fall. As I gather myself and look down I see a skydiver in full gear, jumpsuit & all, face down, motionless & half buried in the mud. (I just kicked him while walking and fell over him). I’m scared as I reach down to see if he’s alive, I yell at him and shake his shoulder, no response. I’m sure he’s dead and I’m too scared to pull him out of the mud. There’s no sign of breathing or life and there’s no one else around. I’m really shook up and can’t help but think, “these F’n jumpers aren’t looking for this guy, they just left him here” I’m feeling sick to my stomach and give one more try to check this guy out, nothing but a heavy, cold, wet body. It takes me another 10 minutes to get to the airport, I marked my path so we could find him again. When I get on the airport, I dump my gear at the edge of the marsh, I find the DZO, he sees my face and asks what’s wrong. I tell him the story and he just starts laughing, (now I know these people are crazy). He looks me in the eye and says “settle down, it’s a dummy, we lost it about a year ago”. WHY?: The DZ was having some issue w/ a neighbor who was calling local troopers when jumpers & wind streamers landed off. The neighbor was telling the police that jumpers were injured and needed help / ambulances. The troopers were getting annoyed responding to these calls and the DZO was getting tired of the troopers complaining to him. So the DZO’s response was to dress this dummy in a complete rig, helmet, boots & an old B-12 and drop it near the neighbors house BUT they missed. The neighbor didn’t see this “accident”, the troopers weren’t called and as far I know the dummy was left there….. Go figure?

How dare you question his meticulously documented research! Ah damn, funniest thing I've read all day. It's like a compulsion with these guys that whatever incompetence they accuse Harris of they have to immediately demonstrate that they are significantly worse.

Hi Sky, Like the dog that finally catches the car; the GOP, after the Dobbs decision, is in a 'now what' situation. IMO of all of the issues that will bite the GOP in the ass in Nov, it will be the abortion decision that does them the most damage. And, well deserved damage. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Wendy, Which brings me to something I have been thinking about. The two highest offices in this country, are the only two [ that I know of ] in which a direct vote by the people is not how we elect them. There may have been a fair argument for the Electoral College in the late 1700's, but not anymore. The US should get rid of that old, non-functioning system. Now, back to your regular scheduled programming. Jerry Baumchen PS) l think that both Ford & Rockefeller were quite good choices.

Yes!! Deregulation was indeed the major issue. Also why Canada didn't have the issues, cause we have government regulations. Guess which candidate wants to get rid of as many regulations as possible?

I don't see that in my post, so no. Sorry I missed the goal post relocation efforts. I understand that writing a check doesn't get workers on the spot and resolutions produced in mere days. Never in my life have I seen ANYTHING accomplished by humans via a tag line used by reporters. But the method used by the media and those working to re-direct the discussion clearly works, as it's stuck with you at least.

The infrastructure is being addressed. Unlike The Trumpster, the Democrats came up with an actual infrastructure plan and it's happening.

If we are going to squabble about debt, let's talk about Dubya and St Ronnie, as well. Source: Growth in the national debt of the United States from 1969 to 2023, by president

stop pretending that you actually care about deficits ir debts when it is apparent you do not understand debt or how it works. And when you ESPECIALLY only care about deficits when Democrats are running the show. It is the oldest, lamest, weakest, frailest arguments I have ever heard, and it is pretty much ALL WE HEAR from the republicans when democrats are in power. 'the average american was better off....' no they weren't. Because they were living under an administration that was attempting to overthrow the government and install a president outside of the rule of law and the system of elections. In case you forgot, there are at least 2 dozen people serving time for sedition, and hundreds more serving time for other violent acts related to that sedition. If you cannot handle a constitutional republic, then perhaps this country is not for you..... ah but your view of the world is only consumed by the price of gas and groceries..... how broad minded..... Try again with a topic that matters.... BTW when are you getting your bill for that debt? I haven't seen mine yet..... maybe the democrats are clever enough to only send bill collection deficit invoices to republicans?

Exitus! I can remember them lining up on the way to altitude in a DC-3 to practice that exit, frequently & usually below 2000’. Always surprised that they never lost anyone! My sincere wishes for you Nancy & family. It’s been too long between hugs. May God continue to bless you & family and celebrate the Sherman legacy in a life well lived. Love ya! Joey D

Not sure you'll see this as I'm probably blocked, but this is some terrible maths. I'm pretty sure $3.4 billion / 100 million americans = $34. Unless you meant the old definition of billion as "million million" (or trillion) but that's still just $34,000. Looks like the numbers are lost on you, too.

More than 200 former aids to President Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney have endorsed Vice President Harris. They have recognized the great peril that another trump president would pose to America. To bad that others can't recognize the danger to America and forsake their GOP allegiances.

Hi John, While I know it might be just a pipe dream, my hope is that she wins by a bigger margin than Biden did. Then, maybe then, the GOP will get its collective head out of it's ass & get back to being the Grand Old Party of yesteryear. Jerry Baumchen A 40-yr former member of the GOP.

Equipment advancements have had a whole lot to do with our advancements in safety. We all say we want safety. The real question is what are we willing to pay for it?
