Last night at the convention she wore a tan suit. More proof of her impeccable sense of history and irony.

Hopefully Swift sues his arse back to Moscow for using her image like that. And hopefully she tells her legal team to find the fans whose images he used, and file an action on their behalf as well. He needs to be hammered.

Actually you’re right. Harris and Walz are not attacking Republicans, in fact they are drawing attention to true historic republican values and separating them from Donald, Vance and his loony band of cult members. If they are successful in supporting Republicans with backbone, it truly will be a gift to the right.

You’re in the wrong room, Brent’s thread is a hard right and down the hall :)

Because a lot of long dead dudes thought it was a good idea at the time. Some of their ideas, such as the Electoral College, are just plain stupid.

And for someone so obsessed with projecting intelligence it’s remarkable that he seems to think we don’t notice.

During this period of 15 jumps to downsize; I would suggest you work with an Instructor or Coach to work through the Downsizing Checklist.

Unless you get paid to do it, why do you or anyone engage him?

Hey, Harris has what it takes to make Republicans look wonderful. With her in office and the other guy behind bars, the sky's the limit! She's the gift to the right that keeps on giving! How's that not praise?

On the recent bus tour both Harris and Walz travelling with their partners, and being supported by them publicly. Meanwhile in the party of family values, Trump and Vance have left their wives barefoot in the kitchen?

That's not praise. Please try to stay on topic. And most likely she will serve 8 years as POTUS and leave a record of extreme competence.

From the way he posts here I can only deduce he struggles with women in positions of power.

I'm not seeing that. I'm not seeing 'Maddd Skilzzzz' here, just a student asking a question that he, apparently, isn't close enough to his instructors to ask them. And going from a 265 to a 240 isn't a huge step down. Not when he's going from 0.77:1 to 0.85:1. So, why do you want to downsize? There are good reasons, and 'not so good' reasons. There are good ways to do it, and 'not so good ways'. Many times, students or novices come on here trying to find justification and support for downsizing for the wrong reasons and much, much faster than they should. So the 'default' answer is 'ask your instructors and experienced jumpers who know you and your skills'. You are clearly working with your instructors, not trying to 'go behind their backs'. And you're not trying to go too small too fast, as far as I can tell. But I don't know you. I don't know how well you fly. So any advice I give is VERY generic. And fairly conservative.

Yeah, but they’re much more likely to try skydiving. I’m not going to say we’re at the peak of safety, we’re not. But there are fewer incidents per 100,000 jumps consistently over the last 5-10 years than at any time in the past. Not that there isn’t room for improvement, but it’s heading in a decent direction. And, frankly, with the YouTube popularity of wingsuit BASE, a number of our folks with too much confidence are heading there instead of swooping. Not that it’s a good thing, but that it’s no longer mostly a skydiving thing Wendy P.

It's not just the number of jumps, it's how you perform on them and where your skill set is when you complete them. Don't be in a hurry. Yes, but that's better done live at the dz with instructors who are familiar with the student. Hopefully the OP has or will do that as well. For such people, bowling comes to mind.

Hi John, While I know it might be just a pipe dream, my hope is that she wins by a bigger margin than Biden did. Then, maybe then, the GOP will get its collective head out of it's ass & get back to being the Grand Old Party of yesteryear. Jerry Baumchen A 40-yr former member of the GOP.

Trump repeatedly makes statements that, with minimal effort, can be shown to be falsehoods (aka "lies"). He is a proven pathological liar. It is remarkable that there are so many gullible people who will believe anything he says.

They are social democracies, where the policies put the welfare of the citizens first. Social welfare, free or low cost education, medical treatment, pensions for the elderly are all socialist policies. And free and fair elections without political corruption. Those are some of the richest, most stable countries on the planet. I think you are confusing socialism with communism, the worst example being North Korea, effectively a dictatorship, exactly what Trump wants to bring to the US. I doubt very much that Kamala has much in common with the countries on that list you posted. In fact Trump is more closely aligned with most of them

Just what I was thinking and those same countries have less drug problems, homelessness, education systems, etc, etc. But the US has AR-15s, trump, declining life expectancy, higher prison populations,oh! the latest USSC approval of political corruption and bribing of politicians. Merica, four more years of trump and all the wasteful spending on elections won't be necessary anymore. No more elections, what a concept.

Sluggo thought Cooper might be an east coast or Florida person: his obsession with sky marshals, south eastern and east coast flights were saturated with sky marshals, he brought up Havana, Flo said he was Latin, Cuban hair style with marcelled hair, his naming Mexico City and south-western cities as destinations, .. ? Some people think the plane could have reached Mexico City - it landed at Reno with plenty of fuel left The issue was never fuel but flight configurations.

The GOP is ardently opposed to teaching the truth about race relations in schools. Racist gerrymandering and voter suppression of black people is their core election strategy. Their worst anti-abortion laws are deeply misogynistic. Just how little have you been paying attention?

They are just buzz words. How will you deal with the deficit after lowering taxes? When was the last time the border was "secure"? What does that even mean? Buzz words without any contemplation is indeed very MAGA.

    > MLK states, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." One of the departures from this lovely quote, which explains wokeness post 2018 is that you can't judge by the content of character anymore. If someone is shitting in the street or using heroin in a kids playground, then you just don't know their trauma. Have some empathy! If stores are getting looted, you just don't know what adversity minority communities have faced. If naked men are blowing each other at Folsom Street parade or SF pride, that's just their culture. Stop being a bigot. Cultural standards need not apply equally. In addition, intersectionality which you kind of touched on above. It's not enough to be an ally of African Americans or gays. Now you need to consider the situation of trans Puerto Ricans raised by foster parents. Thousands of classes of things to worry about. Opportunity cost is real. If you have $100,000 to spend on racial justice, now you have to distribute it to every class. Each one gets $1 instead of one or two issues getting significant funding and attention. Sure be nice to the trans skydiver and understand them, but there is a practical matter when you start to apply policy at a global level to make sure all groups have equal representation. Another hallmark of woke is the focus on things like women's representation in video games. Instead of funding more women in science they concern themselves with how a video game character is clothed. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/looting-chicago-after-george-floyd-s-death-ruined-our-store-ncna1231806
