5 pointsthanks for not answering my question..... I have come to expect that from you. Trump did in fact suggest suspending parts of the constitution. And he is in fact, 'Satan in human form'. He attempted to overthrow an election and still to this day denies the outcome of the election. He did in fact steal millions from his charity, his corporation did indeed get convicted of 13 felony counts of fraud, his associates and confidants are in fact convicted felons... I could go on with a dozen other factual examples or more, Of course you, like all the other trumpie supporting types cannot even bring yourselves to admit that these things happened, thus saving you the respectful civic duty of justifying your support for this human piece of fucking garbage seditious cunt.
-
4 pointsOhh so you are fine supporting somebody who forcibly fingered a woman against her will. That makes it sooo much better.

3 pointsHi Bill, That is the problem with facts: They are so factual. Jerry Baumchen

3 pointsRapist, multiple victims, some under 13. Fraud. Convicted felon. Liar. Cheat. Insurrectionist. Treason. Espionage. Business failure. Twice impeached. Legally prevented from operating a business in NY. There are plenty of other titles he's earned, anyone one of which should be sufficient reason to not support him. He's just a broken piece of shit human and everything he touches dies. Fuck traitor Trump and the idiots who support him.

3 pointsWatching the US over the past 8 or so years it looks and feels like the rich and powerful exert undue and excessive influence on the US. Social groups form strong bonds, even if they have internal disagreements. Take skydiving as an example, we all socialise and will get together even with vastly different political opinions. It is natural and normal that the rich and powerful form a social group as they have something in common. For the most part the very wealthy tend to be narcissistic and forceful (bullies). It doesn’t matter if it’s Murdoch, Gates, Musk etc. It’s not even necessarily a bad thing that they scratch each other’s backs and exchange favours. The problem is the that within the US system it has become blurred and there is no firewall between politics and the public rich and powerful. It’s something you see in Russia and many other despotic states and the foundations have been laid over decades in the US. The end result for the US is Emperor god Trump. Democracy was and is intended to counter those forces. What we are seeing is that without strong protections in place democracy slips into a corrupt puppeteer class for the powerful. It’s insidious and creeps up on us all. I wish there was an obvious and easy answer to put power back in the hands of the people. The problem is that it is so ingrained already that it’s not going to come from within. Social media provides a voice to the masses, but it is unregulated and run by the rich. So by its very nature is open to manipulation and misinformation. My Damascus moment on the news and government was the WMD saga and the gulf war, where in the UK the government encouraged or allowed the media to spin the WMD narrative and yet the actual reports that were available contradicted it. I’ll be honest I feel a bit sad and defeated by it all. I’ve just turned 50 and I suspect it will deteriorate substantially during my lifetime, although probably not in a way that directly impacts my personal quality of life. I worry for my children though and what their future holds.

3 pointsDEI gave us veteran's hospitals, handicapped parking, curb cuts and mixed-race schools. In many cases it ended discrimination against blacks, gays and Muslims. All of which is why the far right wing is so opposed to it. Without their priviledge, they are just like the people they despise - the "lazy, shiftless" blacks, the "rapist" Mexicans, the "mentally ill" Muslims and LGBT folks, and the "loser" veterans.

2 pointsyeah much like Trump stealing money from his Foundation and getting caught, pleading guilty, paying fines and having it shut down. Trumper MAGA types dismiss it - 'it's not theft, he wasn't convicted of theft'. They can justify ANYTHING because it is a cult. And to admit they were wrong at any point in their lives would disrupt all their entire belief structures and their core self. It is easier to just keep going. Cannot fix delusional stupid.

2 pointsNo one said he was convicted of rape. The statute of limitations has expired, so he can't be convicted of that crime. We DID say he is a rapist. He raped E. Jean Carroll 28 years ago. He said he didn't; two separate and independent civil juries determined that he was lying, and that he did indeed rape her.
-
2 pointsYep. I believe the term he used was "terminate." Which is no surprise, because he has also stated that parts of the Constitution are "phony." That's the biggest issue for me. You can say stupid stuff about the Constitution or threaten to throw journalists in jail. That could be some rhetorical trick to attract the extremists. But you can't follow a woman into a store, plan to rape her, then execute your plan unless you are inherently evil.

1 pointNaw, it's the Clinton defense -- it's not sex if there isn't a penis in a vagina. Consent doesn't really mean much, because after all she really wants it. They all do, unless they're walking around escorted, or with long skirts, or protected somehow by a MAN. Wendy P.

1 pointThat's what Trump's lawyer claimed - that he didn't really rape her. The judge quickly set him straight. "Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that.”
-
1 pointChristian Nationalists are OK with rape. It's in the bible and besides, Trump is god's pick despite the rape - afterall god works in mysterious ways. Much like herioin addicts, the party has an excuse for everything and anything.

1 pointThat paper talks about one of the central issues of storm intensity - CAPE (convective available potential energy.) It is the amount of bouyancy that a given section of atmosphere gives to a rising volume of moist air. The stronger the CAPE, the faster it will rise and the more it will rise, leading to more intense storms. Over water, climate change drives increased CAPE, because the stratosphere is cooler, and a cooler stratosphere means more available potential energy. It is absolutely a factor when storms reach 50,000 feet (i.e. very big storms) which is why the conclusion that global warming will lead to more intense large storms is strong. It is less strong for smaller storms, since in a well mixed atmosphere you won't see as much increase in differential at lower altitudes. Over land the same effect occurs, but there may also be a stronger CIN (convective inhibition effect) due to the ground being potentially drier - higher ground temperatures dry out land more quickly, leaving less water available to create a volume of moist air necessary for storm initiation. But each individual storm will generally be larger, so for a short time afterwards there will be MORE energy available. Which is why the conclusion there isn't as strong.

1 pointDon’t you have a crabby uncle? He’s our crabby uncle… Wendy P.
-
1 pointYeah Wendy! Let Rich here explain what it's like to be a woman in today's society to you.

1 pointI don't think either means anything. Not the small donation, nor the registration. I'll wait for more information to come out.

1 pointWithout doubt he will milk it for all it’s worth and it will likely help his campaign significantly. The US is toast, you’ve got an election conversation that is driven by personality, violence and drama and devoid of policy. As a non American while I feel sorry for you all, it’s time for the rest of us to distance ourselves from you
-
1 pointA cruel irony that the politician who has called for violence and unlawful acts the most is now the victim.
