I've been saying the same about you for some time and you don't listen either. <Had to do it.>

Well, I'm standing by for the learned opinions of people who still have landlines and answer unknown callers.

I'm sure there are better choices out there than Biden or Harris amongst the Dems. Having said that, if you turn over a rock whatever crawls out from underneath is an improvement over Trump.

Hi Ken, While it is commentary, I watched the NBCNews wrap-up. Kristen Welker, who is the hostess of MEET THE PRESS, was reading from some notes of hers about various members of the DNC cringing & openly discussing moving to a different nominee. * I fully expect to see Joe call it quits after the 4th. I'll submit Gavin Newsom & Gretchen Whitmer for my choice going forward. I do not want see a contest thru the primaries & right up to the DNC convention. IMO the smart move it to pick a two-some soon & get them out there taking on Trump. Jerry Baumchen * This was just as the debate ended.

It’s nice that he can still stand at a podium and read a speech from a teleprompter. But that won’t be enough to undo the damage. Nor should it be.

Well, the absolute simplest is probably a base rig on a high bridge jump. One canopy, enough time to get stable, pull. No obstacles if it’s an ideal world. That said, I’d go with a square 7-cell main and a square 7-cell reserve. Because part of the simplicity is the same thing you’re used to no matter what. While they’re more complex-seeming, squares seem to have a better track record on not malfunctioning than rounds. Wendy P.

No RSL, no MARD, just good training in the harness. Good plan of the skydive and altitude awareness. Don't think about marketing bullshit which never could be better that respect and the training.

Hi Ken, As stated in the other thread: Gavin Newsom at the top & Gretchen Whitmer as V-P. The hell with the primaries, circle the wagons & get a pair to defeat Trump. Amy K is very competent but not electable. Jerry Baumchen

Bernie is 82. But still coherent and looks good in mittens.

There is a lot more to age than numbers. If you look at Biden now, if he wins, what will he be like in 7 months when the his next term begins. It is time to take the keys away from grandpa.

And Trump (the other choice) is such a rising intellectual star Wendy P.

Who is shocked? Contrary to what the Fine Folks of Fox are telling you, it's not like everybody on the left thought Joe was 47 years old.

I'm really not sure the direction of this. If there is no regulation . . . You want me to beat 'em up?

Hi Joe, I am no political guru, but IMO for those undecided who have concerns about Biden making it thru another four yrs; well, he made their minds up for them. I'm two yrs older than Joe & I could have out-performed him by a couple of lengths. Jerry Baumchen

Rough night for America and our Democracy. It won't harm your impeccable credentials to pretend for just a minute you care about something more than winning.

Hi Nigel, I think Jill needs to have a serious sit-down & discussion tonite. Jerry Baumchen

At least he didn't launch the same thread 3 times. He's undoubtedly not as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as I'd like to see, but I think at least 45% of the 'baffled' look is trying to process the random streams of bs coming out of Trump's mouth every time they un-mute his mic.

Honestly watching the debate the US has two truly awful choices. Biden looks and sounds terrible, I feel incredibly sorry for him. Trump is simply a liar and has so far had no policy or substance.

Pd is the only company who does this. I sent in a pd176 that still had 13 boxes left on rhe label. Came out of a rig that had been stored for 09 years. They gave me the world famous " Failed Permeability Test". And "X'ed" out the label deeming it not airworthiness. But they did offer me 150 dollars off a brand new one. Since I've become a rigger I have seen this same answer to two other reserves sent to pd. Last I checked nylon fabric is made of nylon fabric. The same nylon is used on main canopies that get jumped hundreds if not thousands of times and are constantly in the sun on jumps, and they work just fine for Years and years jump after jump. But a reserve that has been ridden 1 time and spent its life away from the sun and all the wear and tear from daily jumping had a limited shelf life. It's a money grab. Period

The tie was a prop like the rest of his suit - part of his disguise. A disguised person wouldn't wear the same thing they wear in their daily life (sorry Tom: I don't think Cooper was that Engineer you mentioned in the video). Tremendous and very thorough research to find out the occupation of the tie donor, though!

The issue at Lodi was a complicated one - most people new to the sport don't get, and people who have been involved for a while argue over. I never had a problem over there when I was actively jumping more, but I would never send a new or newer jumper there unless they were under direct supervision from someone I trusted. The accident with Brett on Sept.17th (read above) is a microcosm of what was going on: Brett came to another local DZ a couple weeks before this accident. I was S&TA. I would not let him jump the wingsuit without an instructor. He wasn't very current and kind of had an attitude that was not really receptive to our constructive suggestions. He left and now we all know what happened next. Is that a Lodi issue, or a Brett issue? Some will say Brett was an adult and was licensed and chose to do that and it killed him. Some places do there best to help those who aren't keen on helping themselves. And that is probably the biggest difference between Lodi and some other places. Lodi will let you be an adult, largely make your own choices, and deal with the consequences. Except swooping..don't touch the front risers. Lodi supporters will point to things like no swooping, I've seen Bill kick people of the DZ for unsafe things, etc. etc. And that is all true. However, there was this "let adults be adults" attitude that got more than one person killed, because as we all know, adults sometimes don't know how to be adults - especially skydivers. The TI issue was criminal in my opinion. Anyone that thinks Bill didn't know what was going on doesn't know Lodi. Lodi is a fraction of what it used to be at this point. The TI thing did him in. Kill experienced skydivers all day - nobody will really care. Kill a tandem student with criminal shenanigans - the party is over. Adults being adults right?

Hi Wendy, You are so correct. In 2008, I absolutely did not want Hillary to get the nomination; which IMO she thought she deserved. After she became Sec of State, and worked her butt off in that job, I changed my mind. She would have made a damn good POTUS IMO. Jerry Baumchen
