Every once in a while they get it right, despite their best efforts. Too many people on both sides fail to differentiate between zygote rejection and 'partial birth abortion.'

Last year, how it started - Brent posted on July 23rd about how quiet it was in the Atlantic. How it ended - by August 30th the Atlantic was VERY active, and Brent was nowhere to be found. And I said: My prediction has mostly panned out! We're only a few days past May and Brent has already made his hurricane post

I seem to recall Texas and Florida having particularly high fatality rates; states whose governors were particulary anti-CDC.

How about accepting responsibility for your own decisions. This blame and sue culture the US has is ridiculous. You choose to do things, accept the consequences if it doesn't work out. Otherwise wrap yourself in cotton wool and stay in bed. Sad that he is paralysed, but shit happens. Its not always someone elses fault.

Hi Nigel, That is a broad brush that you are using. Both of my children are married & both spouses have had full-time jobs thru-out the marriages. They each have one child. Both of my grandchildren are exceptional; I may be biased but here are the facts: - my 19 yr old grandson has made the Dean's List both semesters for his first yr of college. - my 10 yr old granddaughter was just in a reading & comprehension test with other 4th graders, 5th graders & 6th graders; she came in 2nd of all of them. Both, to me, seem to be very well adjusted & on track to be successful in life. Time will tell. Jerry Baumchen
