The republican party officially claimed that they are the 'party of Trump' after the early primaries. That should be all that anyone needs to know. They are NOT for America or about America, or the constitution, or law and order, they are ONLY about Trump. Like 2020, they do not even have a platform or policy..... only Trump. The Project 2025 so-called platform has nothing to do with policy, it only has to do with handing all power to the executive. Fuck that Trump guy, he is now and will always be the one-term, twice impeached, felony convicted, former president. Soon he will die, and I will celebrate with 18 year old scotch and a neighborhood BBQ. And after the conviction, fuck anyone that supports that POS for president.

I think it's a wonderful day for Americans who believe in the rule of law, and see that the law eventually catches up even with the the country's most powerful con-man. This may be his first criminal conviction, but he has been found guilty (by courts, with all due process) of a bunch of civil infractions (E. Jean C., Trump U, Trump Foundation, Trump Organization). And not one (of many) courts has found his lying claims of the stolen 2020 election to have any foundation.

It was NY state convictions; Biden has no authority. But WHY the hell even suggest it? It was just as dumb when Ford pardoned Nixon. Nixon went to his grave without ever acknowledging he did anything wrong. Pardons by POTUS, (or governors), need to be abolished. It undermines the justice system; It enables corrupt politicians to buy the cooperation of other criminals to help them. It also enables them to sell pardons. Just look at the list of Trump pardons: Wikipedia: List of people granted executive clemency by Donald Trump Funny how Trump was recently calling for the death penalty for drug dealers, when you look at how many are on that list.

You and all of us could also take the view that it is not a shameful day for America. Rather it is a day that shows the strength of the system in its ability to hold such a person accountable. It is a shameful day for Trump but a proud day for the nation.

I don't see justice as shame. I honestly thought he'd buy/threaten/intimidate his way out of this one. Seeing that even a former president is being held accountable for his crimes is a good indication that America is not as corrupt as it seemed yesterday. And that's a good thing.

As I see it, the only options this cycle are Trump or Biden. Anybody else is a spoiler...that's just the realities of the 2-party system and it's not going to change anytime soon. I'm not Biden's biggest fan, but he's done a lot of good, he seems like a decent human, and most of all he's not Trump. The disaster of a 2nd (or as he himself has floated, potentially a 3rd) Trump term is hard to overstate. I like BIGUN...I always find his posts here insightful and I remember having a great fucking time sharing a beer with him at the Dead Man Boogie at Skydive Temple back in 2009, and I think we did a few jumps at SDD back in the day...that is to say, I respect the guy and I'm not gonna shit on his plan to vote for neither. That said, IMO a vote for neither is a vote for Trump, since the outcome is pre-decided as one of them winning by a razor-thin margin. Or we can have 4(+) more years of tax cuts for billionaires, rolling back infrastructure progress and promises of a new infrastructure plan/ACA replacement 'In 2 weeks'...

I still don't think he's a liar. More likely just got stirred up by your endlessly yanking his chain.

kallend said: What a difference 50 years makes. In 1974 Republicans did not defend the cancer in their party. They cut it out. But relatively cancer free they came back stronger than ever in 1980. Trumpism is eating the heart out of today's GOP.

Agree, abit. Except for the fact that trump, FOX and many of his followers have freely chosen to view it as unjust, corrupt. Its not really over until the appeals court and the USSC uphold the verdict. i.e. Trump appointed judges. trump will go into the republican convention with a staff of yes people. All parroting the idea that justice in America is corrupt. Its mostly not. But trump and many in the republican party will further use this verdict to destroy the trust in government that its people should have. IMO its kind of like a sour candy. A second factor is the increased danger to peace that this verdict will bring. trump will only double down. As will many of his followers.

Except that those are merely the first 34 of many convictions likely to follow. He could easily become 45 again.

The case against Trump was clearly super solid if you followed it. There was not a scintilla of doubt that he committed election fraud. So instead of indulging in wishful thinking, just take a look at what your political party has become. Mike Johnson is emblematic of the self serving corruption and rot in the Republican party as are the congressional toady's who lined up dutifully to claim Biden did it and that it's a travesty of justice. Republicans all.

I think you missed the point of his post. (Unless, of course, you figure if you ask the same question over and over you'll get an answer you like.)

To recap: Trump U - verdict FRAUD Trump Foundation - verdict FRAUD Trump Organization - verdict TAX FRAUD Hush Money - verdict GUILTY Access Hollywood - self confessed sexual predator. And still there are imbeciles who want him to be their head of state and commander in chief.

I'm not Jerry or Rob, but I am a master rigger. Extending the laterals on a Vector is very expensive. The rig has "stabilizers," stiffeners that cover the laterals. The stiffeners are sewn into the backpad and the hip junction. Extending the laterals requires opening container seams to replace the webbing and stabilizers, as well as redoing the hip junction. Your local master rigger might have the tools and equipment, but is likely to be doing this for the first time in a long time. If you really want longer laterals, you'll be much happier with the manufacturer's work.
