Martin Luther King was perhaps the most woke civil rights leader in American history. He brought visibility to the discrimination and oppression that black people in the US faced, and risked his life (and ultimately lost it) to try to change that. Hopefully his legacy will live on, and will be expressed by confronting the remaining injustices that black people face, and the injustices that other minorities (gay, trans, disabled, immigrants) face here as well.

I just saw a commercial for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, and showed a skydiver jumping and landing in the pool by the hotel. Does anyone know who that skydiver was and who filmed it?

What it’s called is partisan politics which, sadly for many, is subordinate to patriotism.

You can. You can also not make one a condition of the other. Unfortunately, both you specifically and the rest of your party (the ones who aren't actively pro-Russian) have made it explicitly clear that Ukraine is quite far down the list of your political priorities, to the point that it is completely expendable unless it can be used to leverage action on those other priorites. That's why people say you don't support Ukraine - because you have been quite open about the fact that you don't really care.

Don’t forget to add on finding the missing sock and not burning the pop tarts. It’s America, we can do it all and at the same instant.

"I would totally have helped that little old lady who collapsed in the parking lot! But first things first. Until we get that traffic light put in at the corner of 5th and Market, we can't get distracted by things like calling 911 or doing CPR. It's just plain common sense!"

Oh, geez. Sorry to see this. I had the pleasure and honor to spend some time with him at the '81 World Meet in Z-Hills. Another loss. Sigh. R.I.P. Hoop.

Back on track, there are reports that Ukraine has downed a Russian A-50 radar surveillance plane (equivalent of US AWACS) and damaged an IL-22 command & control plane. Both are quite valuable, and neither is something Russia has a lot of. https://www.politico.eu/article/ukraine-russia-war-plane-shot-down-a50-il22/ One more thing that Russia doesn't have a lot of is... Troops. There have been rumors that they don't have much (if any) reserves left. If they need to reinforce a position, they have to pull troops from somewhere else. They've tried to take Adiivka, but have basically repeated the battle of Bakhmut all over. Human wave attacks that gain a little bit of ground at the cost of hundreds of soldiers. Repeat this a bunch of times and thousands of soldiers are dead. Slim was touting the fact that Ukraine had made little advance over summer and fall. While he's correct in that respect, he conveniently ignored the reality that Russia has tried a LOT harder and done virtually nothing. At huge costs in men and equipment. So they're almost out of soldiers, and Putler doesn't want to have another draft call up with elections close (not that he has any chance of losing). https://www.gbnews.com/news/world/putin-russia-troops-running-out-ukraine-war

Their account looks just fine to me; no warnings, not banned for any reason. I can't reset their password, but this might be something at their end instead of here. I'll let the admin know, but he's super busy on another (paying) job, so I'm afraid that response probably won't be timely. Let me know if he'd like me to contact him via email; I can do that, but won't unless he asks. Wendy P.

Wendy just gave you some sound advice. Another great option is to find another line of work. Getting paid to do something tends to fuck the fun right out of whatever you're doing. Figure out how to pack, if you're not in jail or dead from drinking/drugs in a year, you'll have a great idea of what the next step will be.

So it will never be forgotten - The Williamsport (MD) Area Historical Association is assembling the story behind the Southern Cross Parachute Club at Downsville MD - roughly 1966 through 1974. Would love to be able to share your photographs. Send photos or Contact me at: wmspthistory@gmail.com. A few of the original members still live in the area, so we have some info. It's a great story from a very little town. Thanks! Sandy Izer

I believe she is referring to the Nova. The Raider was one of their f111 nine cells. I want to say that it was around 220 sqft but don't quote me on that. It was a solid canopy. I knew several people that had them. They were very much on par with the other canopies of that period. It's equivalent to a PD 210 or a Falcon 235. Lee
