That’s just the point, isn’t it? It’s a free country for a white man. But you’re supposed to care about whether it’s free for other people too.

She's now had some time in the pickle barrel. Stand by for the day when she's ready.

There's a powerful essay about rape from Mariska Hargitay, the actor who portrays Olivia Benson on "Law and Order:SVU." She was raped when she was 30, and went through a very common phase of denying it happened, then minimizing it out of shame. It's a reminder that: 1) Many women cannot talk about their rapes, or find it hard to due to the shame that's associated with it 2) Most rapes are not perpetrated by a thug in a dark alley; it's someone the victim knows fairly well 3) Talking about rape (whether a personal experience, someone else's experience or even as a fictional character) can help other rape victims come to terms with what happened to them, and start to talk about it themselves. And that's one of the steps along the path towards dealing with the trauma. https://people.com/mariska-hargitay-experience-rape-renewal-reckoning-8424247

Yeah, don't bet on it. "I got mine, Jack. Keep your hands off my stack." And this is the same sort of person who pretends 'white privilege' doesn't exist.

You are trying to tie things together, that I don't think have anything to do with each other. I believe Gay should have been fired, or should have resigned a long time ago. I think DEI is good business. Having a diverse workforce is good for business. Having a homogenous workforce is bad for business. Being very anti-DEI can lead to very bad hires. I will paraphrase Mark Cuban here, but one of the most prominent anti-DEI organizations led to the hiring of the following people: Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, John Bolton , John Kelly, Michael Flynn, Rance Preibus, Tom Price, Mark Esper, Anthony Scaramucci, Bill Barr, Mark Milley, Jim Mattis, Mick Mulvaney, Sean Spicer, Dan Coats, Ryan Zinke, David Shulkin, Don McGahn, Scott Pruitt , HR McMaster, Ty Cobb , Paul Manafort, Rudy Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark Many of those hires were so bad they have turned into memes, jokes, criminals or general laughing stock.
