When does the aphasia kick in? I can hardly wait!

Everything you mention touches on John's concept of trolling and upon more reflection I agree with him more.

YOU posted a link to a right-wing propaganda page. That link made reference to an opinion piece in the WSG...I'm not gonna waste any more of my time with this; it's funner to just laugh at the crap that you post rather than engage with you playing a never-ending game of "oh yeah, but if you look at it through this angle I'm kinda right, which makes you wrong"

Talk to Todd at Apex base in Murrieta, he might impart knowledge since he is a rigger, harness / container and parachute manufacturer.

I really struggle with the concept of Cooper, or any parajacker, deciding to jump over such a huge light footprint. I understand that Vancouver was not the major city it is today, but from my conversations with Jim McClellan (pilot of the "mystery light aircraft"), you could see the glow of Vancouver/Portland in the distance through the clouds once you got to the Battle Ground area. So the light footprint was pretty significant. We can't talk to Cooper, but we can talk to McNally. I believe that Cooper, like Mac, was winging his drop zone. When you ask Mac about why he jumped where he did he'll say that he didn't want to jump somewhere too populated, for obvious reasons, but did want to jump somewhere that he knew there was at least some civilization beneath him. It's not exactly apples to apples since Mac jumped on a clear night. Nevertheless, I've adapted Mac's thinking to try and make sense of Cooper's DZ. North of Lewis River would have just been sheer darkness beneath him. He'd surely know that was legit wilderness beneath him. But once he got to Woodland/La Center/BG, he'd start to see the glow of some lights beneath him but not too much. Unless he was truly nuts he certainly wouldn't want to jump directly over the combined lights of Vancouver/Portland. Additionally, he had to know that it was Portland coming up given the time they'd been in the air and direction they were going, which means that he also knew that the Columbia River was down there somewhere. So there's another reason why you don't jump over Vancouver/Portland. All of that is why I don't think that he landed as a no-pull or under a deployed canopy that far south. However, I do think there is a possibility that the money bag ended up in Marine Park. I've got a theory for that, but that's perhaps for another day.

From Trump's latest speech: “I can't imagine myself being a politician — it has cost me a couple of billion dollars to be a politic — everyone else makes — they make — I said no we can't do that — I could've made a fortune — countries are coming — we've got to build a job, and we'd like to have you involved — billions I say — I tell my kids, sorry kids, we can't do it, I’m President — I respected the office — and then I get out, and I see the stuff Biden's been doing, and I say, well I did it the right way — you know — the money — and my kids say, dad could we build a job here or there — in the Middle East — certain countries — they got a lotta money — and they’d love to build a nice Trump job — no kids you can't do that, it's a conflict — I didn't do that — so I was willing — and the of course they made it much worse with legal fees — I have $100 million worth of legal fees — and they are doing good — at least I have a good lawyers — you could spend $100 million on lousy lawyers too — it happens — but no I said, I said, right from the beginning — I told Ben and Candy a long time ago — I said you know it's incredible — as soon as you win, they start coming to you — wanna do this — and I told my kids you can't do that, you can’t do that — too much respect for the office — and uh ...” ChatGPT could have done a better job. It looks more and more likely that he is suffering from something like PSP frontotemporal dementia. He's leaning forward more, getting stiffer, and getting more awkward in how he walks - as well as having more difficulty talking coherently. And of course the other signs (poor judgment, loss of empathy, socially inappropriate behavior, lack of inhibition, repetitive and compulsive behavior, inability to concentrate or plan, frequent abrupt mood changes, speech difficulties, problems with balance or movement, memory loss) have been there for a while now.

Yes, I'm aware of that. As anyone with any savings or money in a pension fund knows we are all in the game of risking capital. Still, it feels wrong that those with trust funds inherited pay a lower rate than as Warren Buffet claims, his secretary does. This issue is not simple but there is definitely an advantage given to those powerful enough to own politicians.

Of what, having your wife provide for you? I mean good for you having a sugar mommy, but I get satisfaction out of doing it myself. To each their own.

In my experience, when a 100 jump wonder says something like that, "I got coaching" really means "I asked him a question once."

Most docile with lowest pack volume are Epicene Pro and Horizon. They are both basically reserve canopies with ZP nose. Would recommend WL <1.3. If you want to load more or want a longer recovery arc and more powerful flare: Omicron or WinX hybrid. Highest pack volume and sportiest flight is full ZP WinX or Pilot7. You didn’t ask, but I’ll offer it anyway: don’t rush to the ATC. Master all flight controls, pitches and orientations in the Swift first. You’ll be a better pilot as a result.

Hi David, First: Good luck Second: Do you want to mfr entire rigs; harness/container & canopies? Or just some components? As Wendy mentions, an extensive rigging course [ not some 3-5 day school ] is a very good start. Many schools also offer courses for people wanting to get their Master rigger rating. You might enquire about what they could teach you in a one-on-one type of training in building the equipment you are interested in. A number of current mfg people went to work for one of the big companies to learn; then went out on their own. Lots of ways to learn. Jerry Baumchen

Start by learning how to be a rigger; there are a number of good schools -- there's a link above in this forum that will lead you to a number of options. Wendy P.

My wife has a tracker for her dog. It is about 3/4 inch x 1 inch x 1.5 inch. She can use her cell phone and track his location from any where. She was overseas last week and could tell where he was within a few feet. It came with a charger and needs to be recharged every few days.
