Ancestry.com has digitized the arrest records for Vancouver and Clark County Washington through 1970. Even as late as 1970 the crime rate was low and exceedingly minor (think one or two steps away from Mayberry). Although the cops were actively patrolling the area and picking up hitchhikers, what little crime there had been was mostly alcohol-related and committed by those under 30. Drunk driving charges mainly. Open containers. Driving without a permit. Reckless driving. Excessive speeding. Underage drinking. Basically those that got arrested were either young or drunk enough to draw attention to themselves, or dumb enough to mouth off to the cops. None of these match Cooper's MO. (Incidentally the only financial offenses really boil down to non support or bad check charges. Even the petty theft cases were low. A sizeable number of those arrested outside of Vancouver had Battleground addresses fwiw.) Any incidents on the night in question warrant a second look, but the man wasn't going to risk capture or being shot over dime store cigars. Stealing survival gear or first aid supplies maybe if he were hard up enough and desperate, but otherwise breaking in and entering anywhere wouldn't be in his best interest. That said, it's possible he chanced it and hotwired a car just long enough to go into town somewhere to get out of the immediate area. If he were a local he could have known where the cops patrolled and took the back roads instead. Or maybe if he lived in the area, he simply walked home. He surely had a compass, flashlight (and gun) in his bag of tricks. Maybe even a transistor radio to monitor local news reports. A fistful of benzedrine would have allowed him to walk off any injuries he may have sustained in the jump unless they were truly severe. Or family or friends could have lived in the area and he called them for assistance. That wouldn't necessarily mean they were accomplices in the hijacking as it would have been easy to concoct a reason for needing a ride.

Kennedy won't be running from President, so unless you are writing him in you will not be voting for him. Even FOX is saying there was no evidence today. The whole thing is a total joke but for the uneducated it would seem.

This is fun, and shines a light on what this "impeachment" is all about. Rep. Smith asked this during the investigation today: Smith: We know that over two million dollars of Hunter Biden's tax liabilities were paid off by a big Democrat party donor and Hollywood lawyer who is named Kevin Morris. James Biden, the President's brother, told investigators he did not know how Hunter Biden even knew this individual, but was later asked to thank him for the payment, quote, "on behalf of the family". The Biden family. The family. So, how would such payment, that essentially pushed under the rug the President's son's tax problems, at least for one year, be considered a campaign finance violation on the part of the Biden campaign? Witness: Thank you for the question. I have no idea. I thought you were going to ask me why would Leslie Wolf say "don't look into that", and I think the answer to that probably is that if it's a campaign contribution, then it implicates Political Person Number One, and that, apparently, is a big barrier that had been created throughout this entire investigation. Or to put it another way: "You didn't ask me the question you rehearsed with me, so I don't know what to say! I'll answer the question we rehearsed instead." The R's can't even frame someone without tripping over their own feet.

So what does it matter what the Democrats do when what people just decide to remember something different? The unemployment rate in 2019 is the unemployment rate now. If that's not good enough, then what? The US economy is significantly outperforming comparable Eurozone economies and paractically every other first world country. If that's not good enough, then what? If you're worried that the Republicans can brainwash everyone into accepting another Trump presidency then stop being part of the problem. Stop pushing anti left propaganda. Fuck - at the same time as posting in this thread you're loudly pushing the most tenuous and unsupported accusations of corruption against Biden when you know that Trump ran the most corrupt, nepotistic White House in history but stayed silent. Stop blaming everyone else for your own failings and if you're worried about the prospect of Trump 2.0, do something about it yourself.

I'm probably being optimistic, but this sham 'impeachment' circus could be rather damaging for the Rs. Any Rs that vote for it are going to have a tough go in the general election. While the Trumpette morons will vote for them, most independents and quite a few Rs will look at what they did and vote the other way. And Rs that vote against the impeachment are going to get 'primaried' by Trumpette morons. They'll put a 'MAGA' candidate in. Who will then likely lose in the general election, just like so many of them did in the last couple general elections.

They just need to keep going until close to election, at which point SCOTUS will refuse to implement an injuction and will rule after the election.....again.

All that “green” requires increasing support from fertilizers and the like. Dirt gets played out, and becomes less hospitable. Try just eating vitamins and ice cream to satisfy your nutritional needs, and see where it gets you in the long run. Works for awhile, but eventually you start to feel like crap. It takes longer with dirt, but there’s a reason why even industrial farmers rotate their crops. The Navy tried an experiment in WW2, hypnotizing sailors to think they’d slept when they hadn’t. They thought they were up to par, but task performance proved them wrong. The earth isn’t much different. Take, take, take, and eventually it gets played out Wendg P.

Reality does have a well-known liberal agenda. No matter how many speeches republicans give, the climate keeps warming. No matter how many FOX News specials on how bad solar power is, it keeps working - and growing. No matter how many times conservatives deny it happens, women keep being born with male DNA. No matter how many Trump supporters take livestock dewormer, they continue to die at much higher rates than people who get vaccinated. That's why so many conservatives need a steady diet of FOX, OAN, Alex Jones and Newsmax. It protects them from the evils of science, math and reality itself.

Hi Jerry, Or paying any attention to Joe Biden for the past 20 or 30 years. He's got a stutter. Totally in line with their 'supreme leader', the Trumpettes mock and belittle him for it. Pretend it's a sign of senility. But compare & contrast his speaking with stuff he said 20 years ago. THEN compare Trump today with Trump 20 years ago. Tell me Trump hasn't declined. A LOT. Don't forget, Trump was given a preliminary test for Alzheimer's. Because HIS OWN PEOPLE ordered it.

No he isn’t. He’s older than I want, but, ya know, I’d prefer a thoroughly senile Biden to Trump. Because he recognizes he has limitations; Trump neither recognizes it, nor is he willing to admit the possibility of differing opinions from his popularity. Wendy P.

And who exactly compromised them? The Democrats could nominate the risen Jesus Christ, and the conservative networks would say he's too liberal (all that love the poor crap), and the evangelicals would reject him. Kamala isn't nearly as unpopulated with people who haven't been fed a steady diet of Fox and other righter networks; neither is Biden nearly as senile as they make him seem. Just look at the differing perceptions of Trump's COVFEFE tweet Wendy P.

Right. Having money in a bank account is exactly the same as hiding gold bars under the floorboards. No reasonable person could possibly disagree.

It's the absolute truth. You do support Putin's occupation. You have been asked many, many times to state that it would be a good thing for Russian forces to leave Ukraine, and every single time you have refused to do so. Often, you've then repeated the lies the Putin used to justify his current war of aggression. It is an indisputable fact that you want Russia to maintain its occupation of Ukraine. You want Russia to be rewarded for starting this vicious and bloody war, and you support the rampant rape, torture, kidnapping and murder that Putin's forces perpetrate in the occupied regions.
