4 pointsCanada has suffered a lot thanks to the conflict between Sikh nationalists, some of whom have been outright terrorists, and the Indian government. A friend of mine lost family on Air India flight 182, which was blown up at 31,000 feet over the North Atlantic by Sikh terrorists based in Canada. 329 people died, including 268 Canadians. I wish people would leave their violent conflicts behind and not import them to a country that was so generous as to accept them as immigrants.

3 pointsAs a regular on a couple car forums, I have to say: Yeah, that ain't gonna buff out. One article on the results of the attack: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/russian-submarine-shows-massive-damage-after-ukrainian-strike Gotta love the statement that "this is an ex-submarine'. I have to wonder how much the Russians are going to 'finish' destroying it before the Ukrainians show up. Not sure how much intelligence info the "West" needs on an obsolete diesel/electric sub, but I'm sure they'd love the chance to get a close look at it.

2 pointsHang on...I guess my post was not clear. Eric's "new" flight path indicates that Flight 305 "doglegged" several miles to the west after Battle Ground. The FBI file that I posted utterly refutes that notion because the radar operator said Flight 305 was a couple miles east of the centerline of Victor 23. Long story short: Eric is wrong.

2 pointsA wife, being the romantic sort, sent her husband a text: "If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you!" The husband, typically non- romantic, replied: "I am on the toilet. Please advise."

1 pointIt appears as though Modi the president of India has ordered the assignation of a Canadian citizen in B.C. Modi who has refused to participate in sanctions against Putin for his war. Has targeted minorities, Muslims and Christians ever since his government took power. "Some members of the B.C. Sikh community say the Canadian government's allegation that the government of India may have been involved in the killing of a Sikh leader is momentous. Thousands of Sikh Canadians attended his funeral. Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the president of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, was gunned down outside the Sikh temple on June 18, shortly after evening prayers had concluded. Many of Nijjar's supporters had alleged that the Indian government was behind the assassination, especially as he was a prominent supporter of the movement for an independent Sikh state called Khalistan." Trudeau has expelled an Indian diplomat.

1 pointOh yeah. This thread will go on for another 5-6 years at least. There is no sympathy from this corner for Rudy. There will be many more by the time this is all done. trump supporters will be left by the wayside like so many foolish investors in his casinos and properties over the last forty years.

1 pointShould note there are some questions around how Nijjar got his citizenship status In 1997, Nijjar came to Canada, claiming he had been beaten and tortured by Indian police. In 1998, his refugee claim was denied. According to his immigration records, he used a fraudulent passport that identified him as “Ravi Sharma.” His application was rejected, and 11 days later Nijjar married a B.C. woman who sponsored him to immigrate as her spouse. On his application form, he was asked whether he was associated with a group that used or advocated “armed struggle or violence to reach political, religious or social objectives.” He said “no,” but immigration officials considered it a marriage of convenience and rejected Nijjar’s application. Nijjar appealed to the courts and lost in 2001, but he later identified himself as a Canadian citizen. On Tuesday, immigration minister Marc Miller confirmed that Nijjar became a Canadian citizen on March 3, 2015. https://globalnews.ca/news/9969537/who-is-hardeep-singh-nijjar/ It should go without saying that other countries should not be assassinating people in Canada. But, as usual whatever Trudeau announces or touches has hair on it, raising many more questions.

1 pointWell he did only grab her kidneys, MAGAs are known to grab women by the pu$$y. Maybe her standards are a bit more trashy.

1 pointWe don't. For all we know he dumped her for being a lousy lay. What we do know is that I had a happy thought that put a little light into my life and you are peeing on my parade.

1 pointSomething about this isn't quite adding up to me. Eric has been a proponent of the Western Flight Path, (I believe a slightly different version from R99). One of Eric's main assertions is that the FBI/Air Force flight path is really the flight path of the F106 chase planes and that the actual flight path was ~10 miles to the west. So how does moving the flight path two miles to the east fit that ? Is it a departure from his original theory ? The blue line above doesn't seem to reflect the "two miles due east" as it approached the air port. Guess we'll find out on Wednesday.

1 pointPictures of what the Ukraine AF did to Russian Kilo class sub for using Ukrainian repair facilities without permission. Needless to say security is not a part of the Russian SMO.

1 pointThey could dig canals from Murmansk and from Vladivostok to the Black Sea. That would probably be a 2 weeks Special Digging Operation.
-
1 pointOne thing I hadn’t quite grasped is that the Black Sea is completely cut off now, with no warships permitted through the Bosporous. So everything the Russians lose there is gone for the duration of the conflict, there’s no way of replacing those vessels. Also, even before the 2014 invasion the Black Sea fleet was based at Sevastopol under a controversial lease agreement. Another way that Russia will emerge from this war in a much, much weaker position than it started from.

1 pointA young lawyer is working late one night when his door opens and in walks Satan himself. “I have an offer,” says Satan. “If you give me your soul and the soul of everyone in your family, I’ll make you a full partner in your firm.” The lawyer stares icily at the devil for a full minute before demanding, “So what’s the catch?”

1 pointAs I have made over 45,000 loads in my original King Air, 9HW, I would say that a bunch of jumpers seem to be very happy with a fast King Air, and now we have a faster King Air. The additional speed means that we can put out more loads/more jumpers per day, with either King Air, than any Caravan or Otter, burning less fuel, with a much less expensive aircraft. But I am sure that some can find a negative in anything. Mike Mullins

1 pointThere are also genetic factors involved. Some people are more susceptible to obesity (or addiction) due to their genetics. I'm fortunate that I come from a long line of 'less fat' people. Doesn't mean I haven't had to work pretty hard to not get fatter since turning 40. But I've got a headstart over some.

1 pointSmoking is the perfect analogy, because the processed food industry has spent decades perfecting the optimum combinations of salt/sugar/fat to make junk foods as addictive as possible. An excellent book on the topic is: Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us - by Michael Moss

1 pointThe obese can make all the excuses they want (and do). The fact remains that every ounce over their birth weights went in through their mouths. Being obese does not fall in the same category as being black or being female. It is more like smoking or drug use, being almost 100% avoidable.
