5 pointsChutkan set the trial for March 24. Game on. Now let's get some camera's in the room.
-
3 pointsOf course you understand it, you do it and it is the single most irritating thing about the religious. For the most of us we don't give a damn about what you believe that makes your day go easier, we simply don't want it or the effects of it forced into our lives. And for damn sure we are tired of subsidizing it with tax breaks etc. And why stop at blessing America, is that as much as he can handle in a single blessing?
-
3 pointsMaybe, but in this respect she's just a decent human being doing what is right, without the threat of eternal damnation forcing her to do it. I have much more respect for people who do the right thing because it is right, than for those who do it only because they fear retribution from a mythical being.
-
2 pointsI believe that they are all hoping Trump will crash and burn and are positioning themselves for the aftermath.
-
2 pointsNo matter how deeply felt the conviction if it cannot be proven it is not a truth, it is simply a belief.

2 pointsLol I’m not upset in the least. I’m just amused at how expertly you deflect actual questions.

2 pointsAh, Larson. I spoke with Major Larson on the telephone for about 20 minutes. He had little to offer beyond what he wrote in his letter in Aviator magazine. He said that he had nothing to do at all with the construction of the flight path. He said he didn't even know a Capt. Spangler. He said a small, skinny, desperate FBI special agent approached him and provided him the flight path, the weather, the winds aloft, the crew statements, the plane's altitude and indicated airspeed, etc. and he calculated a drop zone. He could not recall the year. He said he pulled the duty because he was a navigator on a C-130, and was the resident "expert" on drop dynamics. However, he did seem confused on the details. He said his DZ extended from Mt. St. Helens in the north to Swift Creek Reservoir to the south. He said his DZ was firmly in the Pinchot National Forest. He then went on and said that the money find in 1980 confirmed his DZ. Obviously, that doesn't make sense geographically, but the man is 84 and this happened over 50 years ago. I wasn't going to be rude and correct him. So, yeah, that's pretty much it. I don't think it really adds anything to the case evidence. He did say that he knew precisely what the crew was talking about with the "pressure bump" because C-130 crews experience them all the time when things go out the back. He called it a "blip" that you physically feel.

2 pointsI'm actually concerned that Republican-dominated state legislatures will use the legal dodges they passed after the last election to discount votes from Democratic-leaning urban districts, and throw their electoral college votes to Trump even if their state votes for the Democratic candidate. I think that could actually happen in Georgia, for example. Here the legislature gave themselves the power to take over the administration of elections in counties they don't like, based on flimsy pretexts, and even to throw out those votes. Ditching the votes from Fulton County alone, for example, would certainly throw Georgia in Trump's direction. Of course if that happens in enough states to throw the entire election to Trump, would be the end of free elections. How should the majority who didn't support Trump respond to that situation? Also I have been victimized by vandalism to my property, and implied threats from some neighbors, after putting up a Biden/Harris sign in the last election. I had to install security cameras after that. Somehow I don't think things will be any better next time around. It doesn't take "most of the nutters" to do significant damage. It only takes one, for example, to burn my house or barn down. I do not understand the appeal of Trump as a cult leader, but I have heard enough people say things to make it clear that to them voting Democrat makes you worse than Pontius Pilate.
-
2 pointsToo many of his people admire him for that. Because, in their view, they've lost over the last 50-70 years. They've lost the ability to call someone an n-word, or boy, or to call a woman babe, or grab her butt, or tell Polack jokes. They've lost the beloved high school mascots. They've lost the knowledge that most of the jobs they were interested in only hire some people -- i.e. people who "fit in" (and aren't likely to complain about boys-will-be-boys jokes and gestures). The standards of polite society have changed in that time, and people who knew they were superior because of the identifiable inferiority of minorities and women, whom they could insult without considering in any way. So why wouldn't they admire Trump? He demonstrated what it takes to go back to being Bubba -- money, and a complete lack of inhibition. Wendy P.

2 pointsI should probably have posted this in the Hurricane thread, because of how Trump will react, but Judge Chutkan today informed him he was nothing special and would just need to make his schedule work while he was being tried.
-
2 pointsThat's gobbledygook. We each have every right to be offended by what the other says. In this instance I truly do not want you to be offended. What I want is for you to be open to the idea that what you accept without evidence has no traction with the rest of us and should not under any pretext be forced into our lives. That's it, plain and simple.
-
2 pointsIt's hard not to be condescending when discussing the core of this subject. I can choose to be condescending in the way we are to children who are young enough to believe in Santa, or I can be condescending in the way religious people are when they patiently explain to me that if I don't believe what they believe I will be tortured for eternity. Who is being more condescending than you? No one.

2 pointsR99 is perfectly aware of what the teletype redactions entailed because I posted the UNREDACTED teletypes on the Forum last year after visiting Ralph Himmelsbach's grandson's home. In fact, I held the original teletype printout in my hand. Regarding the "redactions" of the Seattle ATC transcriptions, in over a decade, R99 has provided no evidence of redactions except his own personal opinions. His entire "western flight path" theory has its origin in nothing more than his personal opinions, and in over a decade all evidence for this theory amounts to nothing more than his personal opinions. If R99 has anything beyond his opinions and personal feelings regarding the "western flight path" or the "redactions", I'd be thrilled to hear it.
-
2 pointsSeattle teletype edits aka redactions were NOT PERTAINING to NORJAK. Subject of Transcription Air-Ground communications "pertaining to" the incident to Northwest Airlines Flight 305

1 pointTrust is an emotion or a feeling. It is real but it is not and can never be a proof. Which is the source of your (and Ron's) confusion. You have developed your feelings to the point where you believe they are facts. So to you they are, but that is meaningless to the rest of us. I claim no answers and I know I will never have any. A fact that I can live with but some people can not.

1 pointHave you ever experienced the supernatural? If no, then the supernatural has no meaning. If yes, then you have some understanding and accpeptance. Oswald Chambers stated, "If Christianity is not supernatural then it is a sham." For me and those like me, it is not a sham.
-
1 pointWell to be fair, R99 has had a powerful affect on all Cooper discussion. He has brought issues forward that nobody has, or could. I am grateful for that. It has made everyone sharper and more concerned with digging facts out -
-
1 pointHi 18, Then why has everything that you have posted here been an attempt to convince us? Jerry Baumchen
-
1 pointRobert? Are you well? We discussed this very topic on December 4th of last year on the Forum. Go look for yourself. The original teletype contained no nefarious or suspicious redactions. Only things redacted were related to flights unrelated to 305. This isn't complicated...do you need me to explain more simplistically?
-
1 pointWell, as far as "unnecessary obnoxious condescension" look in the mirror. And nobody here is arguing against an 'imaginary construct'. We're arguing against someone promoting it. Unless YOU are imaginary. And, by the way, you claimed a LOOOOOONG time ago that you had 'a 'preponderance of evidence' that God exists. Still waiting for it.
-
1 pointHi Joe, If you thought the last episode of MASH had a lot of viewers, you ain't seen nothing yet. Jerry Baumchen
-
1 pointWhich is the day before Super Tuesday. Just what Trump deserves for all the shit he has been flinging about judges/prosecutors/juries. If it were anyone else I'd think they would take the hint and stop antagonizing people, but since it's Trump I'd say forget it.
-
1 pointIt was an original printout. None of this is news. I posted the link on the Forum last year. The photo of the printout with RH's handwriting is right there. And yes, R99, we have discussed the western flight path for 14 years. Discussed and discussed and discussed. And in that entire time you have provided no meaningful evidence to back up your claims. It's all opinion, feeling, spurious claims, and logical fallacies. I'm tired of it. I imagine everyone else is tired of it. The ball is not in my court. The ball is in yours. If you have evidence of an FAA/FBI cover up, present it. If you have a document, a witness statement, a recording of radar data - anything that points positively toward a western route, please present it. Because in 14 years, all its been if you making unsubstantiated claims, then getting dunked on, and then you acting indignant about it. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. So, go ahead. We're all waiting.
-
1 pointNot really, it's always the ok, don't listen to me, but you're going to hell. While trying to pass christian sharia laws that effect every citizen. There IS an effort from christianity to force their beliefs on American society.

1 pointAn acquaintance once bemoaned the fact that people with mental illness were not accorded the same sympathy and consideration as, say, cancer patients. My response was along the lines that the mentally ill are, of course, sick, but they can also be dangerous. Having them burn down the house, or drive suicidally with passengers aboard, or hang people for witchcraft after getting advice from invisible friends is too close to the norm. The form of communicable mental illness we call 'religion' is among the most malevolent forms of insanity in existence. The number of otherwise innocent people butchered in the name of <insert deity> is simply breathtaking. I rate Communism as a religious grade delusion, so Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot's excesses are in good company. Reading pretty much anyone's religious text suggests that anyone who takes its contents at face value is batshit crazy. Cherry picking what parts of a particular holy book one wants to espouse is typical - if a true believer even sees fit to read it. As an aside, how many times inTorah is heaven, hell or any version of 'the devil' mentioned (hint - it's a round number). Remember, religion is like genitals. Fine to have and enjoy with pride, but waving it around in public is generally offensive. BSBD, Winsor BTW, the Applegate Fairbairn is a vast improvement over the V-42

1 pointI do believe we've again reached that delightfully happy moment where the expression of our world views is indistinguishable from simply talking past each other. That, and now I'm bored. Have a great day.
-
1 pointBecause you insist on the implication of eternal torture because we don't believe your nonsense. As I told a preacher that threatened me with eternal torture in a lake of fire "That's ok, I'm a good swimmer." Absolute nonsense that not a single believer can ever explain, justify, or make sense of. You repeatedly continue to prove that here.

1 pointGod is an imaginary construct. There is no reason to believe otherwise other than a human need to have answers for what we can never know. Your dance of illogical beliefs is kind of cute in a simple way and you are welcome to them. But why do you feel the need to write about it here? Most likely you a trying to convince yourself by repeating the the fantasy to us and others. Those who are stronger in their faith don't feel this need. Good luck with your struggle to understand.

1 pointHere’s the deal. None of us knew anything about the FBI Flight Path before getting into Cooper. So it’s not like we are married to it. Flight Path makes no difference to any of us, so if compelling and convincing evidence was produced in favor of a different flight path, none of us would have any reason to stubbornly stick with the FBI flight path. Yet so far only two researchers believe in WFP. Why is that? Because everyone else requires evidence and there is NONE for the WFP. Stop trying to poke holes in the FBI flight path and instead produce some evidence in favor of WFP.

1 pointHi Ken, During that long ago Bible Study, I asked the pastor if the people who lived in jungles & could never hear about the Christian god would go to Hell because they had never accepted Jesus as their savior. He said that they would. Further reinforcement of my decision. In other words, horse-puckey at its finest. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointHere’s my $0.02, for what it’s worth….if your faith makes your life better and you wanna share that then fill your fucking boots, I’m happy for you. If you want to start telling me I’m going to burn for eternity because I don’t believe in your imaginary friend, I’m happy to write you off as a person worth giving another minute of my time.

1 pointImagine trump II with Betsy DeVos back and the current USSC in place. The evangelical right would have schools under neutron bomb attack. Libraries abolished, DeSantis and his ilk would run wild. Schools would be devoted to build "Gods Kingdom" and the administration would have the authority of the courts behind them. Doubters...laugh it up because the gloves would be off. Look whats happening in Florida and Texas. The Right-Wing Mothers Fuelling the School-Board Wars Doubters... you don't honestly think the religious right has been sleeping the last two years while Libs have been distracted by trump's call to the "Liberal prosecutors". "the perfect place for DeSantis to install his vision for America-first Christian education. In January, DeSantis appointed a new slate of Christian conservatives as trustees for New College, several of whom live outside Florida. They are being rubber-stamped by the Florida Legislature’s Republican supermajority this month."

1 pointOdd to even have to say this but - no blood libels. Your next ban will be your last. Either start discussing things without the Russian playbook in front of you or find a new forum to work on.
