These are the same people who think that The Donald is well-characterized by their T-shirts likening him to the second coming; who think that it's better to hurt someone you disagree with than it is to improve your own lot, because perception is reality. Me, I moved to a place where I can buy local produce and meat much of the year, and support local businesses instead of big box stores. Where I can hike and bike from close to home, and where small towns DO try things. Like setting up community care departments, to offload mental health calls from the police. Like improving rather than defunding their libraries. Like buying hybrid vehicles for public departments. Like helping to fund public transit. Like having local newspapers. Like valuing education to the degree that nearly every kid in the state has access to a good vocational school (most with a waiting list) as well as a regular high school. And, yes, studying reparations. Life is good. Wendy P.

Depends on color of course. Black man punches out white farmers. Republican country boys: "We protect our own! It's sad that the violent thug was lynched, but that's what happens when you try that shit here in a small town. Note that I am NOT condoning lynching. And I have a black friend so I'm not racist." White man punches out black farmers. Republican country boys: "Well innocent until proven guilty is what I say. And how do we know the farmers weren't Antifa bent on destroying the local town? Maybe he's a hero. I mean, sure, what he did was wrong, but I wish more people had the courage to stand up to inner city thugs."

There were record heat waves in Europe, US, South America, east and southeast asia this year, and July 2023 is the hottest month ever recorded. But of course you'll ignore that. You'll find a topic with a bit less certainty like hurricane activity or wildfires. Then when the temperature eases a bit you'll be back to denying that warming is even happening, then continue in an endless cycle.

This is weird, but somehow seems appropriate. Here's the obituary of a local man. I took the names out because, while it's in the paper, they might really not want the kind of nationwide publicity that dz.com can bring them ;-P (the new dz.com smilies really suck, so it's back to old school emoticons) Yeah, he was a lifelong grocery store employee. But he was also a volunteer fireman, in a part of the country with lots of old wooden houses that do burn. He had normal-person hobbies (well, maybe the trains were a little old-school...) That's how you build a life. Piece by piece, and asking for people to pay it forward is wonderful, and why I've shared this. Skydiving is a piece of our lives for most of it; nurture the whole thing. By Friday the 25th at Noon Trump and all 19 named defendants must either volunteer for arrest or face consequences. If they book the bastard I have a bottle of 1996 Grand Cru Burgundy that will be sacrificed.

Hai! On my helmet parasport z1, the fastex broke, or rather, the part of the helmet itself broke on which the fastex rests. Can you tell me how to fix this and is it possible? I'll leave a photo here. Thank you

We still get our city Sunday paper, although it is thinner and smaller every year. One thing I like to do is read the obits, scanning to find ones that seem interesting to me. I like to see what the deceased family thought of him / her, what value they brought to the lives of others or what value they chose to create for themselves. There is also the interesting puzzle of reading between the lines, all families have some drama, divorces, blended families, difficult relationships often get alluded to obliquely and it is entertaining to read into names mentioned and omitted and descriptive word choices to try to assemble a more complete picture of a life lived. Most are like this person, "worked hard all their life, loved spending time with their family and friends and pursuing hobbies" but occasionally you get someone that really says to me "that was a life really well lived" or even "that was an obit well written" (not that a simple life isn't worth celebrating) Also, Wendy I was able to find the name of the person easily through google, but perhaps that wasn't your intent, It may have been just to prevent someone searching the name from finding this post on DZ.com.

Total of 41 counts against 19 defendants. Trump himself charged with 13 crimes, bringing his felony indictment count to an even 100. This is going to be the longest, saddest, most avoidable "I told you so" in modern history.

The new indictments are coming down right now. trump and 19 others charged. trump LOST the last elections. For midterms the GOP was dismally short of what the normal shift in power is expected. But as a hard core FOX loving, trump hand kissing republican, Brent is trying for distraction. Distraction from the last election. Distraction from four indictments. Distraction from the idea that a bonafide LOSER is leading the GOP to the next election losses. Discussion over.
