People like you that take great joy in such issues are what is dividing America. You lack the intelligence, empathy and courage to look at all sides of an issue. You think it’s fun that an entire section of America makes fun of a kind, loving, funny young girl. You have zero insight into why a music video with lyrics aimed at denigrating black America is disturbing. And energizing MAGA world. Filmed at the site of a lynching. Because you back the blue, unless they are defending the Capitol from a bunch of white folks you side with. Because those asshats spit on cops and used flags to beat them. I guess that wouldn’t have happened in a small town. so do you love or hate cancel culture? Such a conundrum. It must be painful to live life viewing everything through a left or right magnifying glass.

Hi Bill, Re: Anyone watch some of the women's US soccer team at the World Cup "disrespect the flag" by not putting their hand over their heart or singing the national anthem? As a veteran, I always stand at attention & stay silent. That not good enough for you? Last time I checked, we were still a free country; to do what we want to do. Jerry Baumchen

I have never seen anybody in a US military uniform put their hands over their hearts or sing the national anthem, unless they are performing. Since Americans seem to think soldiers are the ultimate patriots, why is their silence perfect, but anybody else's silence "not smart?"

I am not surprised. In many ways, I am sure he reminds them of themselves. Talk tough, but cower when it something actually happens. Aldean was on stage, at the microphone when the Las Vegas mass shooting started. When he realized what was happening he ran away. Did he use his microphone to tell people to take cover? Did he try and communicate anything? Did he try and help anybody? No, he didn't. He just ran like a cowered and thought only about himself. So yeah, I am not surprised many people relate.

To understand all the global climate events going on I wonder what it would be like to be a republican. Blame the economy and environmental changes on Blacks and Libs. As such not have a worry in the world. Certainly none that can't be solved by prayer and screwing others over to make a buck. Such a simple and uncaring life where the thinking part of the brain is occupied by hate and how to run another scam.

"Silent majority"??? Good gawd! We are now recycling Nixon-era cliches???

The thing is they do not believe in "Country", they believe in "God and Country"; they believe in submission so any acts that are discordant with that idea aren't truly patriotic. Hence, to be truly patriotic you must believe in God and Country and submit.

So the 'silent majority' is a bunch of chickenshit bigots? Who are afraid of a picture of a trans person on a beer can? And so afraid of black people that they need to 'get my grandaddy's gun and shoot them'? Keep in mind that those "good old boys" in small towns have a VERY long history of lynching black people. Of course, country fans have a reputation of not being terribly smart. And of being racist hicks. How many of the 'silent majority' are flying Confederate flags? Something I've learned in the past 15 years or so is how MANY of the hateful, ignorant bigots were simply hiding under rocks, pretending to be civilized, decent people. At least they're being open about it these days. Makes it easier to know who to watch out for.

Just like you debunked the "Biden won the election" and "the climate is warming" things. That works great for a while. But eventually reality has a way of catching up with you.

For sure but the knots did not come out during these attempts. They came out and is very visible in video ( the lines literally sprung apar) when I brought both risers together and pulled them outwards (apart from one another). The front/ nose was not nearly as collapsed as it was in previous attempts with hard right rear pull and drop. Im very aware that hard spinning canopy’s rarely get better but in this situation I only had 1 option to think fast and at least avoid it from twisting up. When I fist saw the knots and felt a hard dive and spin I definitely thought the worst but had to try to recover it and relied on instinct. I have done many 270s on fronts under my168 (above 2k for fun and recovery rate data but am not a swooped) and I definitely think this might have helped as inducing dive purposefully definetly helps give awareness on how to reduce them (the best you can in a very rarer situation) Still honestly isn’t amazement that she opend up and definitely took a deep breath when it was recovered. Saw my main going down but had to figure out flare and enter landing patern as I was just under 2k. Found it in deep sticker bushes 10ft from the river lol.

I think you need 79 to join cool kids club, I don't know for sure cos I am not cool enough. I only can share my own opinion, and since I am not swoop champion or anything like that it probably not worth much.. so take it for what that is.. but I find 90 to be one of the most difficult turns and one of the most dangerous too. Cos u have to do it low and there is very thin line between oh waw and oh shit. 180 does not sound any better too cos u literally flying away from where u going to land, that does not feel right. I do understand that in traffic 90 degree turns helps to avoid canopy collisions but if u ask me what turn is safer for swoop I would say 270 is better then 90/180.

I sure as shit would call a 90mph landing a swoop, as long as that’s forward and not downward speed. It’s like saying someone with only 100 jumps isn’t a real skydiver. Wendy P.

So I think it is clear that people who want to learn swoop not always getting adequate info of what and how to do. Maybe general canopy course is not enough? I really think that one who is serious about this should have someone watching every single swoop till one get proficient... That has to be up to individual to get adequate instructions you can't force them. Whatever cost of such training would be it will be far less then hospital bills and lost wages. Now about risk takers not to push the envelop... Reality is that lots of people with small canopies don't even swoop, I see every weekend lots of folks on 70 sqft doing 90 on landing. I would not call this swooping... And they sure not pushing the envelop of those wings cos those canopies can do much better with larger turns. But when that low 90 goes to shit everyone blame swooping that it is not the case here. Clearly there are people who swoop and I respect that but I think everyone who does need to ask themself a question what is the goal and how that can be done safer. I recently upsized from 84 after many many years of jumping those canopies to 103 and that is the best decision I made for myself. My goal is to jump as long as I possibly can and if I have to upsized again - I will do it. All that is very personal and everyone are different but I am 100 percent sure that most people don't refer to themself as risk takers, they just want to have little fun and be safe. Professional athletes - that is totally different story, I know nothing about that. But from what I can tell they are not a part of the issue.
