On June 6, 1942, Adeline Gray made the first jump by a human with a nylon parachute at Brainard Field in Hartford. Her jump, performed before a group of Army officials, put the world’s first nylon parachute to the test. The Pioneer Parachute Company of Manchester fabricated the new nylon material, which was developed as an alternative to silk. Working in concert with the Cheney Brothers Company of Manchester and the DuPont Company, Pioneer Parachute developed a material that combined “compactness with lightness, resiliency and strength.” Gray, who was 24 years old at the time of the jump, was from Oxford and worked as a licensed parachute rigger and packer at the Pioneer Parachute Company. For years I had admired McCain, and hoped to get an opportunity to vote for him. Then after he got the nomination, he suddenly went from being a "maverick" to sucking up to Dubya, and chose an ignorant hick for a running mate. So that made it easy to vote for Obama.

What specifically?

Right. And if he wanted that to happen, Harris would be convinced, and she'd announce that she is retiring to spend more time with her family. But more likely he would just run with a new VP. During the Nixon presidency, when his VP resigned due to pending criminal charges, Nixon consulted with the House and they came back with Ford, a moderate. If Biden was interested in going the same route, he could give the House a list of say five democrats he would consider, then let the House choose the most conservative of them, thus giving the House a "victory" they could tout and ensuring a more moderate VP. Or just run a new person on the ticket. For example, consider a Biden/Manchin ticket. That would turn off some democrats, but would likely energize a lot more independents. And even a few conservatives; if a lot of conservatives think that Biden is going to die in office, they might greatly prefer Manchin over Harris if the alternative was Trump. Or consider a Biden/Sinema ticket. That would get more democratic support and likely a LOT more independent support. Heck, if Harris was convinced to retire, the house would probably approve replacing her mid-term.

305 was nowhere near the Columbia at 8:14. They were actually close to Battle Ground around 8:14 Doc is a good guy and I've communicated with him privately a great deal, but his attempts to move the plane farther south are just completely flawed. His claim that 305 was over Battle Ground at 8:11 is based on a single erroneous log entry where an individual, Stuart McClelland, was listening in on the radio comms wrote that they were 23 miles south of BG at 8:18. Everyone else who was taking notes in the SAME room wrote down 8:22 for that particular timestamp. The 8:22 timestamp for 23 miles south of BG also lines up with Soderlind's calculations using the Air Force's data. 8:18 is an outlier in every sense that something can be an outlier. You cannot (or should not) base the entire premise of a work on an outlier. Also, as a practical matter, why in the world would Cooper have jumped right over, or even near, a city of 400k people? Cooper didn't know precisely where he was but if he still been on the aircraft as they passed over Vancouver he'd have known that it was Vancouver/Portland beneath him.

I'd put it at "possibly" rather than "most likely." Definitely more likely than Biden possibly subbing for Obama, or even than Pence for Trump, but now I'd put Trump's health at worse than Biden's, and the ages aren't all that different. But Trump takes far worse care of his health. Wendy P.

So again, it still doesn't seem as though he is altering the path of the plane so much as he is playing with where the plane was on the flight path during the timeline...and oh yeah moving the pressure bump and jump time to no earlier than 8:14pm. I need to read it a couple more times to make sure I understand what he is saying...
