And at some point in the future, when the transplants become unhappy at the reality of Russia, and start protesting, Putin will stand up in front of the Duma and begin speaking: "When the United States sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing conspiracy theories. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Ummmm... Because they're the same sort of bigot? I've said it before. I honestly thought the racial hatred & bigotry was more or less done. Not racism, not abuse of power, not injustice. But most of the virulent, violent hatred. And not completely done, but mostly over. And then Obama got elected. And so many people who had been required to pretend to be nice just completely lost their shit. All the 'Birther' garbage. All the "Secret Muslim" crap. All the stupid insults and criticisms of both of the Obamas. The people who had hated people with different color skin, but had been forced by 'polite society' to mute those views came out from under their rocks and went apeshit. Turns out they've always been there, but weren't able to be 'their real selves' in public. Then Trump saw his opportunity. Remember his private detective who was going to provide earthshaking revelations 'in two weeks'? Trump gained traction with his hate and vitriol, got the bigots and assholes wound up and the MAGA moron movement took off. Trump and his idiot followers then proceeded to hijack the R party. Which resulted in Bobo, Gym Jordan and Empty Gee gaining power. People like Liz Cheney decided they weren't very nice people and jumped ship, to their detriment. Keep in mind that Liz is Darth Cheney's daughter. And Trump is too evil for her. But not for the MAGA morons, and the politicians that pander to them.

Well I say the same things from time to time. Mostly out of frustration. BIGUN isn't a bigot. There are other republicans as well that swallow their pride and vote republican. Some will go out that same week to do outreach volunteer work. Some today are helping immigrant claimants at the border. More than many democrats. Racist, bigots, etc. I'd go with 20% of the GOP depending on how riled up I am about some latest outrage.

I've been out of the loop for a bit and probably will continue to be for a bit. I may not get to see the History's Mysteries tomorrow night, and was hoping someone can post on here how the part on William Smith goes, if there is a part on him. I'm mainly interested in what they use for pictures of him, like the main one that is the most common of him, or if they got more pics etc. Any other feedback on the show would be interesting too. I won't take it personally, it was an odd kind of wat so to say in terms of the show being filmed. I doubt I'll be able to see any PMs for a bit either. Thanks. Also, I saw a YouTube video from Anthony Mills that mentions Gunther's book was sourced from a guy named Robert Rackley. As far as I can remember, I don't know who that is and have not heard his name. Any info on that would be of interest to me. I did talk to a former radio DJ once who knew Gunther, but don't remember that being his name. As far as I know, no one knows where Gunther got his info. I hope to be back on all the boards in a few weeks. I will be able to see this board though it looks like. Easier than getting it second hand from contacts who don't really know the Cooper background. Lots to catch up on. Hope everyone is well.

The guy said he will make it. You don't need to remind him every two years....

I am sure they will receive assurances that they won't be drafted. Then when they get there, the people who want to be exempt from the draft will be forced to live in rainbow colored houses with pictures of Dylan Mulvaney everywhere inside.

So how quickly will they be eligible for conscription?

Me: That's a nice outfit Her: Oh I've had it for awhile Me: How long have you had it Her: Months Me: But it's the first time you've worn it Her: Yes, but I've had it for awhile Me: OK, I'll order a new rig. They take months to arrive. I'll pay for it today so that once I get it I can say I bought it months ago. Her: That's not how it works Me: Nice outfit

I assume this is the video? I have not watched it yet personally, but will soon. And there's an interesting comment... apparently some Cooper researchers actually got a hold of Gunther's notes, and are going to eventually publish information about them?!? I'll take that with a grain of salt for now, to be cautious... but that could be VERY interesting if it turns out to be true...

I wouldn't call her 'moderate'. She's just saying that it should be up to the states to decide. And that getting anything done at the federal level isn't likely to happen (and I agree with that). She's pretty strongly anti-abortion, but refuses to clearly state her position because she knows what that would do to her chances of getting elected.

Then he’s not referring to them, is he? He’s referring to the fringe MAGA crowd who the moderates have allowed to dominate the state legislature and pass these dystopian laws. ‘Cuckservative’ is actually a term that the fascists and racists (yes really) use to denigrate your moderate friends for not being MAGA enough.

I wonder why it’s getting old? Hey, I have an idea, quit being a facet of the problem by being any kind of so called Republican. Help wither the numbers and show real leadership and stand up to not be counted. Instead, register Democrat and identify online and with your buddies as a conservative Democrat.

He didn't claim otherwise. The defeat was of the "reich wing", which excludes moderate (traditional) Republicans. High time the moderate wing of the GOP got some balls and stood up to the MAGA loonies.

I was not referring to all Republicans. I was referring to the subset who does not want to represent the citizens, but seeks power to rule the citizens. AKA the MAGA subset.

April 2023 Right on the ground problems began. Barometer chip malfunctioned - my dashboard display did not show altitude readings, and no climb / descend rate. Anyway I decided to proceed. I can judge the altitude visually. I run the system on the ground. Okay. We took off, climbed to 11,000. I stood on the far end of the shelf. Commanded engines to start. They responded properly. As they reached the state “Accelerate” … I jumped. OMG The initial feeling was like there are two persons working together on common mission. I was busy to stabilize and fly wingsuit. Engines were busy to start themselves. Throwing short glimpses on the display, for my surprise and satisfaction, I noticed that they are making progress toward full operation. At certain point engines reported full run, 30,000 RPM. From that point I can control them. I then increased throttle. 50,000 RPM. 70,000 RPM. 95,000 RPM ! Gentle but powerful force on my foot pushed me forward ! I changed body position to fly up. In regular flight wingsuit will climb a little-bit, then will lose speed and stall after a few seconds. But now it was not the case. Despite climbing up I definitely continued to fly forward at significant speed. It worked ! Without altitude readings, I decided to keep larger safety margins, not to fly until the last moment. So I gradually decreased RPM and eventually shut down engines. Changed flight pitch to pre-opening, deployed PC and landed perfectly.

“Caring for Your Kill Line Pilot Chute” Kill line pilot chutes are a high wear part of your skydiving equipment requiring periodic inspection and maintenance to ensure that they will continue to function properly. Pilot chutes are deployed at 120 mph, lift the bag off your back, then it rapidly collapses as the canopy leaves the bag, and finally they are dropped onto the ground with each landing. Who hasn’t been walking back to the packing area to the calls of “dragging!”, only to discover you have been dragging your pilot chute across the ground? Kill line pilot chutes wear at several points. The following is what to inspect and some suggestions for increasing the life span of your kill line pilot chute. The Spectra kill line shrinks from the heat generated from sliding through the bridle as the pilot chute collapses and the bridle stretches over time, affecting the original calibration. Because the change is so gradual it often goes unnoticed until you begin to experience hesitations on deployment. To check for correct kill line length, cock the pilot chute and watch the kill line. Does it become taunt before the two white ribbons that run from the apex (the top of the pilot chute) to the bridle? If it does, then the kill line is too short, not allowing the pilot chute to completely inflate. When cocked, the two white ribbons should be taunt and there should be some slack on the kill line. Also, if the handle of the pilot chute being pulled through the small opening at the base of the pilot chute on deployment, the kill line is too short. Your rigger should be able to replace the kill line, or if the kill line was manufactured with enough excess line, your rigger can simply extend the kill line. Check the stitching that holds your handle to the pilot chute. If the handle rips off, you would have a total malfunction. Check the bridle, especially where the pin attaches to the bridle. If any of the stitches have come out, have your rigger repair it. If the pin rips off of the bridle you would have a pilot chute in tow malfunction. As you fly your canopy, the deployment bag is free to spin around the bridle. Eventually the bridle will wear out and break at the grommet. Have your rigger use waxed nylon cord to tack both sides of the rapide link to the reinforced part of the deployment bag to prevent the bridle from rotating in the grommet. Some manufactures sew the pilot chute bridle to the deployment bag, eliminating this problem. The disadvantage of a sewn-in pilot chute is they are difficult to replace, usually a job for a rigger. Lastly, have your rigger install stainless steel rapide links instead of the plated links. They won’t corrode, reducing wear on the bridle. Whether your pilot chute is a kill line or not, the Z-P or F-111 fabric wears just like the fabric on a canopy. The porosity of the fabric degrades with use, decreasing the drag of the pilot chute. Eventually the pilot chute will not have enough drag to deploy your main canopy, leaving you with a pilot chute in tow or a bag lock. An indication that your chute may have problems is a pause between throwing your pilot chute and the canopy coming out of the bag. A patch on a pilot chute would be difficult to sew and could cause it to spin on deployment, creating lines twists. As the mesh wears, holes will develop. Once the mesh tears the hole will become larger quickly. Replace a pilot chute with holes in the fabric or mesh. Check that the tape on the mesh runs at a 45-degree angle to the 'grain'. If it doesn't the pilot chute can distort, reducing its effectiveness. Checking your pilot chute every time you do your 30-day three-ring maintenance is simple and could prevent a malfunction. If you are not confident inspecting your pilot chute, have your rigger help you. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Derek
